The entrance(the area by front door) smelled very bad. Otherwise a stereotypical Starbucks experience. Staff were friendly.

I only go here when I absolutely have to. The people who work here are friendly enough, but slow as molasses. This is one of the most inefficiently run Starbucks I’ve ever been to. Like many of the other reviews state, constant line that moves waaaay slow. Almost every time I’m there at least 2 customers bail because they just can’t take it. I mean, this place is surrounded by hospitals and clinics. People who stop in either have an appointment to get to or they’re on a QUICK break and want coffee. Get it together, man. My drink was decent, but I swear I stood around for about 15 mins to get it. No excuse for that when you’ve got 3 people behind the counter. If you walk in the door and see a line, decide if you’ve got the time to wait. It’s gonna be a while. Trust me.

FYI: This store recently started closing at 5/5:30 on Saturday and Sunday. Super lame for those of us who work night shift and would like to get coffee at 6:30

Particularly considering that the line at this place is always so long, I think this Starbucks is pretty good! Of course the SBUX experience is entirely based on the baristas that staff it. I’d give some of the baristas at this Starbucks 6 stars and others 3 stars.

How typically Seattleite of me to write a review on a company that blossomed from my own hometown. I usually wouldn’t bother to write a review about Starbucks, since they also tend to be typically the same. But I’ll make an exception for this one since I’m usually here about once a week, which I’m somewhat embarrassed to admit… ALLTHEWASTEDMONEY! Jk. I brought that upon myself. It’s those darn $ 5 soy lattes, they’re addicting I tell you. Anywaaaay. Yes, I’m a fan of this particular Starbucks. A few of the employees know me by name which is always nice. The store is always well organized, although I’ve never seen one that wasn’t. And my drink is almost always made correctly. The only exception I’ve had is if the particular person is new, but it’s quite consistent. Thank you Starbucks, for fulfilling my caffeine need.

Customer service is a huge deal for me. Not only did they get my drink right(surprisingly enough that doesn’t always happen when I go to sbux) but the baristas are super friendly. Thanks Chris for being so nice it made my day!

Always busy with healthcare people coming through the door. Good staff seem to know what they’re doing for the most part. I do not order coffee its usually a hot chocolate. The last two times I ordered it was gross and I had to take it back. This time I spoke with Alex the supervisor and he really made hot chocolate for me… That is customer service at least they have that going for them. The line is always long and it generally can take up to 15 minutes to get a coffee and a Danish. If you don’t mind waiting this is an OK establishment if you don’t want to wait go two blocks up to the one at the Nordstrom’s tower!

This location is a bit of a zoo. Most of the staff is disorganized and doesn’t pay attention to their backed up line of customers. I’m giving it three stars instead of two because during the course of my last visit, one employee finally stepped up to the plate and broke up the social gathering of employees huddled behind the counter. Doesn’t a growing line give you the sense of impending doom? Wouldn’t seem more logical to work through helping your customer and catch up on social chat later?

When I’m in the area and in the mood, I like to stop in for a drink and maybe a bistro box. It’s close to a credit union, drug store, and restaurants, so you can knock out a bunch of errands in one visit. In the mornings I usually find there is a line, quite a few Swedish employees come down for the morning java and also everyone else who works or lives in the area. They move the line pretty fast and there might be a wait for the drink, but they do a good job of keeping their cool when things get really busy. They have a nice seating area and usually there’s seating available which is nice. If you don’t want to wait in line, try the Starbucks just a block or two up the street on Madison. I can’t guarantee there won’t be a line, but it’s an option. Nice location, very good service, good drinks, and well-maintained. P. S. This location is right next to the 1101 Madison Garage which is attached to the 1101 Madison Building which houses various medical clinics like Swedish and Pac Med.

Not my favorite Starbucks. but very close to where I work so its convenient. There is usually a crazy line 75% of the time. Its not bad, its just that they are inconsistent here. They have messed up my drink here more than once and they seem to forget the whip a lot… I suggest going to the one further down Madison if you have the time.

Nice starbucks. Unfortunately I only go here when someone is in the hospital so it’s kind of weird to like it so much. but it’s still Sbux, even if you are waiting to hear if a loved one made it through surgery.

Great coconut non fat chai tea latte. Absolutely delicious on a rainy day. Really good bakery goods to choose from as well. It was fast, great service and everyone had a smile. It’s nice to be back in Seattle. :)

Ok, so I’ve only been here twice so it might be an anomaly but my experiences have been pretty awful. There were so many homeless people who hadn’t bought anything basically either talking really loudly or nodding out or knocking on the window to single to the other people god knows what… of course the only seat left was by the window. Also, they got my order wrong the first time. Second time I wanted to do a little studying but ended up leaving for the other Starbucks on Madison. Sad.

I am an ex Starbucks barista(I moved into the medical field, not let go), and this Starbucks is ALWAYS a huge disappointment. Our drinks are never right. And it is not like they are hard drinks. 80% of the time the cup is written wrong, the other times the person making the drink doesn’t read what is on the cup. My co-worker has gone up the past 3 times and ordered me a White Hot Chocolate. I always end up with a White Mocha. Today I asked for extra whip, there is half an inch of room and no whip. I ask for extra light ice, I get extra ice. I ask for a soy drink because my co-work can’t have milk, they make it with regular milk. It’s not like we are getting super pick drinks. A ice soy chai with extra light ice, VERY easy to make, always wrong. At my store, if we made mistakes like this all the time, we would have been in a lot of trouble. I keep trying to have faith in them, I keep trying to see if maybe they can get it, but no, it never changes. It has been a year. I don’t understand, I worked at a busy store, we all were accurate with drinks(there are always 1 or 2) and had a high store rating. I am not impressed with this shop. I have started going to other local coffee shops for this reason.

Standard Starbucks. One barista in particular, Raven, is the sole reason for the 5th star. If you ever meet the vibrant blonde gay boy with a warm smile, you’ll get the full on Starbucks experience!

It’s pretty much your standard Starbucks that you find everywhere else in Seattle. However, I did want to say the baristas here are super friendly! I’ve never had a bad experience and I’ve never had to wait very long. The baristas are chatty and make me laugh. My only complaint is the confusion that ordering tea results in. Yes, really. I want tea, not coffee. Everyone always seems so bewildered when I order tea!

Reviewing a Starbucks? Yep. They are not all carbon copies. This one is not as warm or well-organized as the one a mere 1.5 blocks NE. It seems to have higher staff turnover and More Yelling. There is also less moochable wireless, which is a deal killer. Other options in this area include: Piroshki on Madison — tasty Organic to Go — for the food masochist Arosa — 6000 calorie mochas and eye candy
