The most tasty coffee! Very cool roaster team downstairs. So nice guys! Greeting from Shanghai

Wow. Not usually at a loss for words but that was the only thing that came to mind when i took my first sip of their Woodblock mocha. Starbucks has got nothing on them. There’s no parking in the area, but in this area of Seattle it’s all about walking. The coffee was so good and the service excellent that not even this issue can keep me from giving them 5 stars.

The better Stumptown location in Capitol Hill for the open air seating and way nicer baristas! Awesome cold brews as usual.

I love Stumptown coffee but the customer service at this location leaves a lot to be desired. If you can’t even make eye contact with a customer who needs to find the restroom(girl working at the front counter), you shouldn’t be working in a customer service job. Just plain rude.

Made me a believer in cold brew. When I went to SU, I thought Stumptown was just a pretentious, overpriced alternative to Starbucks… then I tried their cold brew. I immediately became hooked. How can black coffee taste so good?! I was shocked to see that their cold brew has 0 calories and only two ingredients, coffee and water. It’s thick, velvety and luscious. Also a big fan of their nitro. Once they started offering Fuji Bakery’s goodies, it became one of the best places to stop for coffee and a snack.

Very tasty coffee… tried the one with green apple and caramel flavor. Husband really loved it. He also loved the cold brew in a growler.

This was my first visit to Stumptown and I wasn’t disappointed! Ordered a Chemex of the monthly pick, and it was delicious. Whenever I’m back in Seattle I’ll be sure to return.

Some of the best coffee I’ve had outside of Europe. Simple menu with amazing taste. Great ambiance, and make sure you take a peek at the roasting operation down stairs!

There are two locations and I went to the First Hill shop with some friends. It seemed a bit bigger than the other location and wasn’t busy on a Sunday afternoon. I had an order of their americano and it was pretty decent. There’s not much space in this shop except for a few friends so I wouldn’t recommend staying for too long. I didn’t have a chance to try their pastries but they looked pretty good as well. I’ll consider ordering some the next time I’m around.

I’m not a huge coffee snob so I can’t say if my iced vanilla latte was particularly exceptional, but it was really good! On par to me with other coffee places. Had the cold brew at first but it was really watery tasting so the kind lady exchanged my drink for the latte!

I lived 4 blocks away for years and this Stumptown and Presse were two of my go-tos. Espresso and fries FTW! Good place to socialize, get work done, or just chill with a book, tho I do find the seating arrangement to be somewhat awkward. I really dig Stumptown coffee in general(yes, even after the buyout) and quality at this location is consistently good.

Allright there are plenty of coffee joints in the Seattle area, I was really pleased with Stumptown. My friends from Portland talk about it all the time and I’m glad that I got to finally experience it for myself. Bought some bags to be my own at home. Sad that we don’t have one close by is southern cali.

The vanilla latte was incredible. It has a very creamy flavor that makes it standout among other lattes, but isn’t over the top sweet. I also ordered the spinach and feta popeye-it was good but at room temperature, so I bet a warm one would have been amazing. The sugar donuts are tasty as well, and only $ 1.

Today I had a moment to chill inside. My punch card was complete and I was able to get a free drink. I went with a vanilla soy latte and I also got a quiche to munch on. The quiche was filling and quite tasty. My drink was perfectly frothy and I loved it. This is still one of my favorite spots for coffee. The only thing that bothers me most of the time is their take out cups always leak around the lid. Not their fault of course. I’ve experienced the same issue with Starbucks cups. Like if the rim gets wet it will start slowly leaking. Super annoying. Anyway, great spot to bring in your laptop, get some work done, and have great coffee with your dog by your side.

Awesome Roast For Home Brewing SITREP The irony is I had just left Starbucks on Olive Way, but mom wanted me to pop in here this go-around and grab a bag of her favorite Kenya roast which they had here. So that’s how I first became acquainted with Stumptown. [It was like a trip down memory lane when mom & I would hit the Pike Place Starbucks more than 20 years ago.] THESETUP Located on Capitol Hill(not far from one of my favorite clubs in fact, The Mercury), Stumptown is close to Broadway and the center of action for a lot of the college crowd and young hip urbanites. AMENITIES A nice vibe for studying and/or chilling, with a lot of open space and seating available. THELOWDOWN Great coffee stop for a change of pace. I still prefer my Starbucks Clover Veranda Blonde to start my day, but I will definitely find time to post at Stumptown in the afternoon /evening.

I love Stumptown. Pretty popular place here in Seattle. I’ve been to the Pike location various times but find myself gravitating to the 12th Ave one. Customer service is good, coffee is good and there seems to me more open seating. Also parking, usually more parking too. They have a great cold brew, nitro and an all time favorite is the thyme iced tea-yum! Seems like they are doing more shrubs so I look forward to tasting those too. If you haven’t been to one just do it already.

Finally visited my first Stumptown after ordering their beans online! Rather than try trip coffee, we decided to get espresso drinks(a latte and a cappuccino). Both were pretty good — espresso not sour or bitter, temperature a little hot, foam a little too coarse, but overall a decent drink. The coffee shop is bustling but we managed to snag some bar seats. There are beans and bottled cold brew for sale. Employees are friendly but work very quickly in order to maintain efficiency. The pastries are a tad sweet but go well with the coffee. If I lived in Seattle I would probably stop by regularly if I was short on time. This place is much better suited for quick to-go orders rather than sit-down-and-use-your-laptop-for-4-hours orders.

All the voices are telling me Stumptown, Stumptown. but I suppose I was not blown away. Coffee not bad by any means. just after hearing voice in your head beckoning you Stumptown you’d think that you would taste something like water from the cup of Christ! But I digress. The drinks are fine. This location, though in close proximity to me, will probably not get my vote for a go-to coffee establishment. The seating inside is really contemporary. Maybe too contemporary. It’s not very comfortable or good for conversation. In fact, you’d think it were designed for solo drinkers. Maybe that’s a bit of an incentive for some. The tables are low, so they’re hard to work on. but because of the long bench along the side, it makes conversation hard. Those little(foot stools?) aren’t comfortable IMO. But it is bright inside. Perhaps you’d like to read a book?

A very different experience from the typical Starbucks!!! If you are wanting a different coffee/café experience, then Stumptown is your next best thing after Starbucks! Sadly, I haven’t actually patronized Stumptown until this said experience. I had a $ 5 gift certificate from who remembers where, but with that gift certificate I got a $ 4.75 vanilla latte. When the barista asked me whether or not I wanted the quarter change back, I just said keep it. In return, the barista offered me a pastry on the house! I chose a croissant. Needless to say, I really like the baristas here. I sat at the ‘bar’ area by the bathroom. This place has free Wi-fi and outlets everywhere, which the latter I find awesome because my laptop will die without being plugged in LIKEALLTHETIME. The vanilla latte was solid and rich — it was also strong in that it got me a little jittery on that Sunday afternoon, which is rare nowadays because coffee seems to not have any caffeinated effect on me(sad but true). The place closed early at 5pm on that Sunday for a «deep clean.» I’m not sure if that happens every Sunday, but just a heads-up if you plan on spending some time there on a Sunday afternoon to get some work done.

Hmmmm. Kind of bummed by my experience here. This is my second time at a Stumpton(first being in Portland). Went during a time that it wasn’t too busy, so my friend and I got great seating by the window. Normally, I would not go for a mocha, but my friend swears by how delicious they are here. They use a liquid chocolate that doesn’t collect at the bottom like most places. I didn’t want it any sweeter, but my mocha didn’t even taste the slightest bit like chocolate. It was just an average mocha. I, however, would return to give a second chance and for the good atmosphere of the café. I know Stumpton is popular for a good reason!
