Sundek Seattle

This was a HORRIBLE experience’s took way longer than they should overcharged a lot for a terrible job… all the seams were visible on the drywall, paint on the floor, handrail and carpet and then he actually asked me if I wanted him to clean… which I had to redo as there was dust on everything and apparently his shop vac only reaches the outside edges… I was going to hire them for my floor also… I am glad they over ran the time as I can’t imagine how awful it would have been… They knew I worked for myself and understood what I needed and they did everything not to deliver… and now I get to open w/​out a floor on top of it all.

I had high expectations about Brett and Sundek from referrals and Unilocal.But I am here to say, I am disappointed due to the lack of communication and poor customer service.
When I originally called for an estimate, Brett was quick to respond, made it to our home on-​time, and was able to share what products and services we could choose from. Our estimate arrived via email quickly and was very reasonable. He was honest to report he wouldn’t be able to do our job until June or July, when the weather got drier.
June came and went. We had to email to remind him we are still interested in his services. We received an email from him asking when they could start. We made a date to begin at the end of July but guess what? They didn’t show up! No email. No call. Nothing. So, we emailed him again. Again, he made a date with us in August and boom! No show #2. Not a word to let us know and definitely, no email to apologize for breaking our date. This has been a very frustrating experience. So after 3 months waiting for our steps to be resurfaced, we’ve called another company and started the process all over again.
I don’t know what is going on with Brett while he is taking over the management of his dad’s company, but if I can share one tiny helpful hint: PLEASE be upfront with your customers. Let them know if you have to change the start dates or if you can’t show up on time. Most of the time, your customers are willing to work with you and your schedule… but this lack of communication makes you look rude and that you could care less about your customers.

Brett is a pro along with his awesome crew. My steps were a hot mess plus right on the corner of a busy intersection visible to all foot traffic. Our home is from the very early 1900s so stairs were the originalones. We wanted to maintain the look. An estimate on replacing with new cement stairs was the price of a new car! I called Brett for an estimate and information on the process they use to repair and restore. I have posted the pictures, you be the judge! I am a happy camper.
