Went here about 9:30pm this past Tuesday because we needed some quick food. We sat in the drive through for probabl 15 min before getting to the window where it took another 7 – 8 min to get the food. The two stars are for the young man who took our order but was doing his best despite the cranky old manager yelling at him from around the corner. When we finallyyyy got our food it was not even warm– straight up COLD burritos and the soup I got was only three quarters of the way full. Like really? You can’t at least fill it up come on I’m PAYING for a full cup not ¾ cup. I wish I could just get my $ 17 back because what we received was much less than that in value. If reviews similar to mine keep coming through, which they have and will, then something needs to actually be done other than a customer service rep writing back to Unilocalers with how sorry he was. Taco Times vary WILDLY and unfortunately this is on the bad end. I wouldnt of really minded if the food came out good but when you wait thatttt long for cold food, ya NO.

I give it 2 stars for 2 reasons. 1 I did not pay for my meal and 2 I was starving so it did the job. However would not be my first choice ever. They are overpriced and food didn’t taste that great. If you want better imitation Mexican food make the drive to Del Taco.

I haven’t written a review in almost 3 years and I’m frustrated enough to write one again about this Taco Time. To be clear, I really enjoy Taco Time as a whole. Not like I think it’s great Mexican food or anything, but if you’re hungry and short on time, Taco Time can be the shit. But not this Taco Time. This Taco Time is a constant disappointment. I live close by so it’s my default location and its terrible. To wit: Crispy chicken tacos? Not here. Tacos that are wet and soaked through the shell so you get a soggy, mushy, amalgamation of corn tortilla and chicken, yeah they got those. Bean burritos? Well they sell them but usually the beans are dried out and the tortillas are stale and cracker like. Mexi Fries? Luke warm and broken? That’s the speciality here. I filled out a survey on the Taco Time website and gave them this feedback and some guy who I think works at Taco Time called and left a voicemail and told me he’d buy me a soda the next time I was in. I say«I think» because he didn’t actually say he was from Taco Time but I used my powers of deduction and assumed that’s where the call came from. I don’t want a free soda, I want this Taco Time to live up to the standards of every other Taco Time in the city. It’s not that high of a bar to get over. Taco Time corporate, read this review and do some investigating. Oh and just the other day my wife went through the drive through and when they screwed up her order and she called to let them know they hung up on her. Seriously this location is terrible.

I grew up eating Taco Time in Portland, and I was glad to find this location near the U District! This location is clean and has free wifi, and it’s easily accessible by bus for students. My favorite thing to order is either the crisp bean burrito or the soft taco, with mexifries, of course. There is one thing, though. I’m not sure why, because I don’t remember them having this before, but the soft tacos have a ranch sauce on them now for some reason. It’s super weird, imo.

Hate wasting my time writing bad reviews but it’s gotta happen sometime! I love taco time but this Seattle location is def a hit or miss, having more bad experiences than good. Particularly yesterday evening. Not gonna get in to depth but I asked a few questions kindly as ever about an item and after a few seconds, the manager/shift lead hops on sounding arrogant, saying that they can’t do it and there is no such thing blah blah. Despite me getting it before and the cashier girl saying it was possible. Anyways when I pull up to the window, the manager was standing in front leaning on the counter looking like a complete douche ha but the chick who took my order was super nice. Anyways I leave and notice they forgot my ranch(probably on purpose) but I whipped back around and grabbed that. Like I said, its hit or miss so you should try it for your own opinion. Let me know!

Taco Time holds a special place in my heart because when I was living in Colorado it was one of the few places that was the joy of the after a soccer game match with my mother. With the fresh ingredients are sourced locally made to order you can’t go wrong with this fast food Mexican restaurant. sadly it left the Colorado area when Taco Bell popped up and took over the domination of the Mexican fast food industry. one of the perks is the soda machine which you can select from a variety of flavors from Dr Pepper flavored with cherry to raspberry vanilla and any combination you can think of in between. eco-friendly recycling and composting materials and Abbott recycling program makes this a green company that it’s well worth supporting. I may be a little biased because it brings back such fond memories for the food still tastes just as good as it did 25 years ago when I was leaving soccer practice.

I’ve been going to Taco Time for years and I love it. If you’re looking for truly authentic Mexican food, well, don’t come here. But if you want freshest-tasting fast food around and you like calling foods names other than their own(mexifries) then you’ll love it here. I find the food at this location to be consistently better than some of the other nearby locations. The service is usually pretty good here, too.

I’ve been to this place a couple of times now. As a transplant to Seattle from Texas, I am always hankering for my Mexican fix even if it means trying the most Americanized versions of Mexican. Than being said, Taco Time is probably the most bastardized Mexican food I’ve ever had aside from Taco Bell. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing if you take it for what it is. First of all, I feel like this place is a little on the expensive side for fast food. Most combos end up coming to about $ 10, which could get me a pretty decent meal with table service in the U District. It could also get me a metric ton of food at Taco Bell. I like the variety of items Taco Time has to offer, though I don’t really understand how tater tots fit into the restaurant theme. I’ve only tried their standard beef burrito with Mexifries. I found the burrito to be a little bit better than what you’d get at Taco Bell(better put together) but not as good as what you could get at Qdoba or Chipotle. Its also bigger than Taco Bell burritos, but smaller than Chipotle et. al. At first I shuddered at the idea of putting a ranch-flavored sauce on a burrito but it actually works out well and really compliments the flavors of the rice, beans, and meat. I liked my Mexifries, but both times I noticed that the individual tots would fall apart rather easily. I like my tater tots to be a little more crispy and solid rather than crumbly. Apart from the prices, I’ve also had issues with being served in a timely manner at the drive-thru window. I waited about 6 – 7 minutes at the window for my burrito during my second visit. I guess that’s a good thing because it means that it was made to order(hopefully!) but from what I could see, it looks like my order might have been delayed due to more customers queuing inside the restaurant. All in all, not a bad place to eat. Perfectly fine and certainly satisfies a craving.

This place is very clean — ALWAYS, reasonable amount of parking spaces, plenty of room for seats inside and come on people, they have TATERTOTS! Ok, they call them mexi fries, but they’re freshly prepared and awesome. My favorite thing there is their tostado salad in the tortilla edible bowl. Everyone is friendly that works there and seems to actually want to work there and very helpful. That Coke mismatch flavor machine is absolutely amazing and makes getting your drink actually fun. Excellent and fast place for lunch.

Ah, this Taco Time is fantastic! I find it easy to get consistently great service, and the food is fresh. No problem getting my order right, even though I am a picky eater. I also really enjoy the soda machine. It is fun, and the ice cubes are awesome! The jalapeños are fresh and have wonderful flavor and texture. Great, friendly, more than competent staff. Eat here, you cannot go wrong! I recommend this fine establishment.

I really do not like this place. I would rather eat Taco Bell. They should do away with Taco Time and move in Del Taco Atleast their food was edible.

Hey. After all, this is taco time. The place seems clean. The food are fresh. What else can you ask for. Friendly staff. The seats are soft and comfortable. Will visit again when possible.

It’s a Taco Time! Why is it getting 2.5 stars? Anyway, the restaurant is clean, lots of seating, and has all of your typical Taco Time goodness. Considering the area, there is plenty of parking as well, which is a definite plus. Also, I think all Taco Times have this, but those next generation Coke machines are fantastic. Thousands of combinations!

Of course it’s not Mexican-Mexican food, it’s a Northwest fastish-food version of Mexican. Taking that into account, this place is great. I’ve been eating Taco Time since I was six! Their kids’ meal toys are the best around. The best thing is to order tots and get a side of sour cream ranch to dip them in. Do a double dip with the free hot sauce from the condiment pump and you’ll be in snack heaven. All of their packaging is compostable, if you’re into that. And they recently installed a Coke Remix machine. I like to play a game where one person fills a cup with a mystery combo and the other person has to guess what it is. Also they have that ice where it’s like tiny pellets. YUM.

Very cool people working at Taco Time; great customer service. I had the Baha Fish Taco combo which included two fish tacos(fried Mahi Mahi with red cabbage and other shredded veggies and white sauce; very good to be considered fast food) a refillable fountain soda, and Mexi-fries, which, they explained to me, are tater-tots, before I purchased the order. lol I enjoy the lunch and restaurant thoroughly! However, I wish that they had wifi.

This Taco Time is so slow(at least the drive through) I haven’t been inside, but the drive through a couple times and really, I don’t plan to go back. The last time, the only person in front of me seemed to be a friend of the woman at the drive through because they chatted for quite some time and even though she looked back at me(the drive through lady) she didn’t seem concerned and kept talking long after she passed the food through to the other car. When I finally got up there, she was apparently all talked out, because I don’t recall her saying anything to me — took my card, handed it back, handed me my food and… that was it. Food was fine. Won’t be returning.

Yeah, the food at this Taco Time is yuck-o. I’ve eaten here twice, why I needed to eat there a second time for punishment I don’t know. I ordered the taco salad, and couldn’t believe how skimpy it was– just some beans, lettuce, maybe 3 olives, and tiny side of salsa. Yep. Soggy taco bowl. Second time had a bean burrito. It was bland and blah. The service wasn’t great. It was clean tho, which is the only plus.

You know what? People are correct, the food at nice Mexican restaurants is better than Taco Time. But, I mean duh, right? Why would anyone even make the comparison? Taco Time is fast food. And for fast food, it’s pretty darn good. SOMUCHBETTER than Taco Bell. They seriously serve crap there. You can actually taste the different ingredients in your food where as at Taco Bell it seems to be just one collective paste in burritos and whatnot… Uhg. Anyway… Also, I really love how Taco Time cares to use local ingredients. They could get stuff a lot cheaper like other places. And in turn it would all be a lot lower quality. But they buy everything locally from our state! It makes less of an impact on the environment, it tastes better, it’s fresher and supports our state farms and I think that’s pretty fricken cool.

I feel like this Taco Time has been here forever, or at least as long as I can remember. The building itself is really big as, looking from the outside, you might think it actually has two floors, but once you walk in, you see that there is just a whole bunch of wide open space. Not sure if this is good or bad as sometimes I feel like it makes the place more inviting within the claustrophobic nature of the Wallingford area and other times I feel like its a bit excessive. Either way, this place is always a good option whenever you are looking for some Mexican fast food. If you’ve been to a Taco Time, I don’t need to tell you about their food as it is exactly the same at each location. I do like how they focus on fresh, local ingredients which puts it a cut above other fast food options. The service here is always good and the place is always kept as clean as you would want it to be.
