The Cabiri, established in 1999, offer a variety of services in the performing arts realm. From aerial arts instruction for adults to high-​level acrobatic performances at public and private events, the Cabiri is an ideal choice for dance and circus arts. Instruction options include private lessons, group workshops and ongoing classes in aerial silks, trapeze, and other apparatus. Performance offerings include aerialists, acrobats, stilt walkers, fire dancers, living statues, jugglers and more. The Cabiri have performed at a wide variety of events throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond for clients including Verizon Wireless, Nintendo, Microsoft and Ama​zon​.com.

History

Established in 1999.

Established in 1999, the Cabiri uses spectacular theatrical productions to depict tales from ancient mythology and folklore for audiences of all ages. Founder John Murphy refers to this art form as «performative mythology» and the work of the Cabiri is truly one of a kind.

Meet the Business Owner

John M.

Business Owner

John, Artistic Director of the Cabiri, holds a degree in Comparative Mythology from Western Washington University and a Master of Science from the University of Washington. He has studied dance, martial arts and physical theater since age 5. John is a Journeyman level rigger with IATSE Local 15 and also holds an ETCP rigging certification.
