We specialize in vegan shoes and chocolates. We are a vegan owned and operated company that provides very affordable vegan shoes, purses, belts, and wallets. We also sell decadent vegan chocolates many that are organic and fair-​trade. Raw vegan and gluten free chocolates are also available. We take special orders and provide excellent customer service.

Established in 2010.

We are vegan owned and operated. Recognizing the need for a place that sells vegan shoes and accessories in Seattle that are affordable, we created The Chocolate Shoe Box. We have also always wanted to open a vegan chocolate shop. So we felt that chocolates and shoes were the perfect pairing. Our mission is to make the world more vegan one shoe and truffle at a time.

Great place for shoes. Non animal skin shoes.
Only thing I dislike is the sourcing of their products they sell. Many come from China.
A lot of the chocolate is great, but I would ONLY sell fair trade myself, and things without palm oil, as that is one of the foods that is devastating habitat for orangutans, and MANY other species. I give a 3.5 really, but am only allowed a three.
the owner is very sweet, and the staff are all nice.
Several times I have gone and they did not carry my size. I mean, I wear a 7.5, or 38, which is the most common size, and so just order MORE please!!! I also bought boots I saw there online because they were like $ 40 cheaper! Come on guys!
I wish they would push veganism more.

The fact that I’ve been waiting outside for 20 minutes in the rain when they say they open at 11am makes me an angry girl. If you’re going to have business hours be openwhen you say you are.

I *really* want to like this store, but every time I come here I wonder why I bothered. They have a nice selection of shoes for a small store, but if I choose four shoes I’ll be lucky if they’ll have one pair in my size (7) out of those four, and they usually don’t. I wouldn’t criticize them if this only happened once or twice, but this happens EVERY time. They just don’t seem to keep a good range of sizes in stock.
I’d recommend looking at their stock on their web site first then calling to ask about availability in your size before going.

Great shop! I’ve purchased several pairs of shoes here. Very well made. I love that they are cruelty free! The staff is very helpful and curtious. Please make a point to put yourself in the neighborhood and stop in!

I’m by no means a shoe girl, but this place is great! They have the cutest knee-​high socks I’ve ever seen, with pictures of bicycles, manatees, and other cute things on them! The shoe selection is not only cruelty-​free (made from gorgeous faux leather, it’s hard to believe they’re not actual cow skin), but there’s a plethora of optoins for men and women.
My favorite part is their chocolate! Raw super-​food bars to melt-​in-​your-​mouth truffles, they’ve got it all!

Great store with a great selection of vegan shoes and chocolate. Also has purses, wallets, and belts. The owner was very helpful and patient, she helped my wife try on dozens of shoes. We only wish we lives here so we could come regularly!

I went here the other night right before they closed. The owner kept the store open late so that I could look at shoes. She was also as friendly and patient as could be. I bought a pair of fun rain boots and a beautiful pair of black boots. They were both really comfortable. We chatted about vegan wedding receptions (I’m getting married) and she told me about her vegan wedding. I asked if a certain chocolate was good and she gave a nonplussed response. I bought it anyway and it was not very good. I told her that I should have listened to her, and she actually gave me a free chocolate after I was the jerk who ate a chocolate that she did not recommend and complained. This store is my number one shoe store! Chocolates and shoes are very exciting!

I am not a vegan and not a particularly strong advocate of vegan footwear (I’m sorry I love my leather boots); however this store has really good-​looking and comfortable shoes for affordable prices. The selection is not huge so you may not always find exactly what you’re looking for, but the selection they have is appropriate for the season and very attractive. Plus, you can buy tasty chocolates while you are there!

But taking it up a notch and making animal friendly: Vegan baby!
Situated in sleepy Greenwood, its got lots of chocolate goodies, most of which are handmade and unique. The hot chocolate dippers on a stick are heaven and smell amazing. I was amazed at how many different styles of vegan shoes were in stock! I expected much more limitation. Along with that are plenty of vegan belts and super cute pro-​veg t-​shirts. Very hard not to pick one of those up!
GO. MAKE VEGAN HAPPY!

I went in here tonight with a friend and we spent a good while browsing and checking out the shoes but also left with a hefty amount of delicious chocolate.
The service was great, and the person who rang us up was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the products.

I was a skeptic, but I have to admit I have cheated on my leather boots and it felt gooood.
I was lucky and happened into this adorable store during the Art Walk so the shoes were 20% off! I got a cute pair of sandals for spring for under $ 25. The girl working was really helpful, got me sizes and even discussed the vegan chocolates with me.
I picked up a carmel truffle and a pair of shoes. Not a bad saturday afternoon.

I hope that this store is just experiencing growing pains, and that they’ll work out their kinks. I agree with everyone else that the premise is fantastic, especially in the Greenwood/​Phinney neighborhood. I often walk past and see great shoes, and their prices are largely reasonable ($ 40-​$ 80).
BUT! The owner’s mother sits there offering unhelpful, awkward, even uncomfortable commentary while you shop. She also didn’t trust me when I came in to return a Christmas present and said that I had never worn them outside. She brusquely asked the gal behind the counter to check, and then demanded to know when I bought them. She seemed convince I was running a scam.
They also lied about their return policy, telling my boyfriend that he could get his money back if the boots didn’t fit or I didn’t like them. He bought them 2 days before Christmas, I tried to return them 2 days after Christmas, and suddenly they are only accepting store credit?! Their receipts say nothing about no money back. Not a way to create repeat customers, if you ask me.
Chocolate Shoe Box, lose the judgmental staff and the shady policies, and I’ll be back (to use my store credit).

Ok, why didn’t anyone tell me there’s a store in Seattle that sells both chocolate and shoes?! Are you kidding me?
This store had a variety of shoes — sneakers, comfort, mens, boots, etc. but the real star of the show are the cute shoes on the display when you walk in– they have a good variety of cute flats and lyre heels, and then another section with fancy, glittery high heels. I didn’t see anything over 100 and I got a sport cute pair on sale for 20.
Don’t let the vegan thing confuse you. It’s a cute stylish store, just with man made shoes. And oh yeah. Chocolate.

I love this shop! Seattle was desperatley in need of a cool vegan shop and this is it! Cute, affordable shoes, really delicious chocolate and great handbags! I have a Matt and Nat bag from there and I love it. The lining is made from 21 recycled plastic bottles. How cool is that? They also carry SPARitual nailpolish in totally rad colours.

Its such a fantastic idea.
The store is well merchandised and offers a broad range of styles.
I hope this store is well loved and supported by the community, its something we are missing here in the bay area (of California).
Once the shop gets going, perhaps they could look at adding some higher price point items from Olsen Haus, etc. But, for such a tight collection, its awesome that we went in as a group and all pretty much found something. My fiancé’s mother found some flats, my fiancé’s sister found some shoes and I got an awesome purse. My guy appreciated the peanut butter candy I got him, it took the edge off of my impulse buy.
Prices are very reasonable, some are surprisingly low.
There’s a wide selection of styles for work or play, and the guys are also well represented with attractive belts and stuff.

First, I want to say that I think this store is a great idea — Seattle was desperately in need of a vegan shoe store, and I think it is clever to combine it with a chocolate shop (good vegan shoes and good vegan chocolate are both things that I will put a lot of effort into tracking down, so I appreciate putting them in one location).
I stopped in for the first time the other day. The two people working there were both very nice, and it’s a cute little place.
However, I was really disappointed in the shoe selection. There were a few interesting shoes, but most (probably 80%) were cheap shoes made in China. Sure, the prices were low, but the shoes were almost certainly made in a sweatshop and they also looked as cheap as they are — not something an adult could reasonably wear to work.
What I was hoping for? Shoes by Novacas, Olsen Haus, Cri de Coeur, etc. I was looking for interesting and sophisticated shoes of high quality. Also, a nice selection of vegan bags would fit in great in the store. If the owners haven’t checked out Mooshoes in NYC, they should look to it as a model of a successful vegan shoe store.
There was a nice selection of chocolate, but some samples would go a long way to help the customers choose. When you’re dropping $ 5 on a small chocolate bar or $ 4 on a single truffle, it would be nice to have an idea of what you’re buying.
Overall, I do appreciate the effort and expect that it will just take some time for the owners to find the right selection. I will definitely be back to check it out once the place has had some more time to settle in.

This is place has the vibe of a cozy high end shoe boutique with the prices of an outlet. Today was their grand opening and they were totally packed. It was most likely the free chocolates that brought in the masses, but it was the adorable footwear and surprisingly low prices that had the ladies leaving with armloads of heels.
I can’t wait to come back on a day when they’re not so crowded. I can totally see this chocolates and shoes thing working for a girls day out shopping. Maybe if they served a bit of coffee or something too, it would really sell the high-​end boutique feeling. And with those unbeatable prices it’s an indulgence you can actually afford.
Plus, everything in the store (chocolates and all) are 100% vegan. This place makes me one happy vegan girl!
