The Gulf

I was on my way to lunch to pick up a boring cup of soup and saw this truck at Westlake Park and decided to change my mind and check them out. Never heard of them before but I’m always up to trying a new spot.
Pretty simple menu they had up: 1) you can get 2 tacos (shrimp or fish) 2) some carne asada fries.
I opted to get the tacos, one shrimp, one fish. They cook it to order so it takes a few extra minutes. Nicely cooked fried fish and shrimp, dressed the same way for each taco, pico & cabbage slaw and this crema on top. A little small in size but very tasty.
Pricing was a little high but friendly fellas working the truck and thankful that you came by. Love me a fish taco, so I will keep my good eye out on the look for them on the streets!

Finally I got to try the Gulf last Friday! My friends have been raving about how good the food is. And it was excellent! I would highly recommend the shrimp taco and the fries! Omg those gave me a total foodgasm!

I had their carne asada fries and I seriously can’t stop thinking about them! I love nachos and I love fries and this was the perfect combination of both worlds. The menu is pretty short and hopefully that will expand soon.

SO delicious! The carne asada fries are AMAZING! My favorite food truck ever!
