The Hearthstone is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) dedicated to adults age 62 plus, promoting independence, optimum health, security, purpose and belonging in life, through Christian love and values in a caring environment.

History

Established in 1966.

More than 50 years ago, members of the Lutheran Council of Seattle-​King County, a Washington State nonprofit organization, envisioned an engaging retirement community that would make people of all faiths and backgrounds feel at home. The Lutheran Council believed that although the location was quite exclusive, the ability to become a resident should not be.

That was the plan. That was the goal.

Since 1966, our neighborhood community by Green Lake has been a harbor of serenity for people who value friendship and engagement as much as care and nurturing. Through the tireless efforts of the leadership team, ours is an environment that is both organized and flexible, both relaxed and dynamic. It is a formula that has worked for 50 years, and we are dedicated to continue making it work for all.
