I’m so glad I found this great restaurant on Unilocal! It’s a bonus that it’s near the city church too if you want to eat before heading to church. I’d suggest you’d sit in the outside patio. It has a great ambiance. I’m sure it’s even better at night with the string lights on. It’s a chill place with a decent happy hour from 3 – 6 every day. Of course Moscow mules are on it(if you’re not from Seattle, it’s one of Seattle’s drinks and you’ve got to try it! Especially since it’s on their happy hour!)

This is the #1 place I go to in Belltown because — they have good drinks — decent food — and always have a seat open(Why?! No idea!) I’ve also been told that they have a decent vegetarian friendly menu but I personally get the pork tacos or the cheese burger. Their other items are good too but not all of them are filling for dinner. They also have a really nice patio in the back, so if you’re ever drinking before sunset during the summer, check it out. No 5 stars because occasionally they do mess up on something. I would highly NOT recommend the sangria, for example.

Not great but not awful. I had a porter and the fish tacos, which were overpriced for what they were. Super small portion. Waitress forgot someone in our group’s nachos.

Discovered this place last weekend when looking for a new happy hour spot. They have a beautiful garden patio in the back, which was a surprising discovery! I haven’t eaten here, though they do give you free chips & salsa for happy hour. Pretty good beer menu, a few ciders. I enjoyed overall but it didn’t blow me away. Worth checking out!

I wish I would’ve liked this place more. It’s a cute spot with what looks to be a very nice patio in the back. Our server was so nice, great personality and was eager to give recommendations. It was a little disappointing that the drink my husband ordered they were out of. Then when we ordered food, they were out of what my husband wanted. We thought she was joking at first. How do you run out of a chimichanga? You could tell our waitress felt bad and she handled the situation well. He ended up ordering the carne asada instead and I ordered the Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was great, but his carne asada missed the mark. It wasn’t seasoned ATALL. So incredibly bland. Just a little seasoning and it would’ve been great! Overall this experience was just ok. We would probably give them another shot since they had such good service.

I came her with my mom and grandma on girls weekend. The food and service were off the charts! If I could give more stars, I would. Our server, Daily, totally made the entire experience. She was fun, witty, and a great server. All of the meals were stellar; we had the pork chop with mole sauce, the cubano sandwich, and enchiladas. We can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Honestly, when I first walked it, it had a distinctive smell… not sure if I could pin point it, but I wasn’t in favor of it. But it didn’t bother me as much because our group just walked straight to the back in the more open area outside, where fresh air resided. Now this is what I’m in favor of… It was simple, yet gorgeous and I loved being back there. It was so cute!!! Their HH is not too shabby. I’m usually picky with my drinks, but their drinks are pretty good! I tried the rum punch this time. I wouldn’t mind coming back again to try their food too.

I cannot stop raving about The Innkeeper. I’ve dined there twice, once on their patio a couple of summers ago and more recently in their dining room where I had my birthday dinner. What do I love about The Innkeeper? 1. Great food! I’ve tried the empanadas with chimichurri(it’s got a lovely spicy kick!), chips with guac, salsa and bean dip, pickled veggies(jalapenos, carrots, onions), carne asada plate and the black bean burger. I devoured EVERYTHING! The empanadas came with 4 pieces, and very shareable. Well-seasoned and the perfect outside crust. Chips were salty(just how I like them) and all of the dips were good but the guac was my favorite. The carne asada plate came on a sizzling plate with veggies, guac and tortillas and was very filling. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium rare, which is how I ordered it. The black bean burger was so delicious when my husband ordered it last time that he got it again. And he’s not someone that generally cares for veggie burgers. 2. Spirit-forward cocktails! I haven’t had a drink here I didn’t adore. I’ve tried the Boomerang Manhattan, Toronto, Rum Punch and had my first sherry there too! 3. They know how to host a large group! Special thank you to our AMAZING server(I will have to find your name and update my post). He was always there when you needed another drink or food, and he was just so nice! For my birthday they brought out a tres leches cake(yummy!) AND a shot of whiskey. PUREBRILLIANCE. I can’t wait to return when their patio opens for the summer. See you there!

Yummm!!! The guacamole here is drool worthy. The chips are light and airy and delicious. And empanadas! Ooooh empanadas! I wish they’d do a sweet egg wash on them, but the raisins and the beef blended in deliciously perfect harmony for happiness in this Asian. The carne asada was good also, but it wasn’t my favorite part of the meal(hint: beef and raisins). It was a bit hot and humid in the room, probably added to by the merry fire blazing in the corner. Bar service was a bit slow, but the room was pretty full, so I’ll assume they were just busy. Our server was super nice, really attentive. Our waters weren’t refilled regularly until we asked once, then the guy kept coming back around more regularly. Silverware and napkins are in the box on the table when you sit down, just fyi. Would return! They’re very close to where I live and now I know where to get my empanada fix! Yummmm!

Fabbity, fab, fab, FAB! Listen sister: get the bean dip! It’s worth the toots later on, & if you’re feeling musical then I suggest the empanadas. They’ll make you want to slap someone! The Cuban will also delight, but whether you’re looking to score or whore tonight, wash it all down with one of their Moscow Mules. Girl, yes.

Came here for Happy Hour with some friends and we had a great time! Not overly crowded on a Friday after work which was nice, good amount of tables and space to accommodate our group of 6. Complimentary chips & salsa, chips were super tasty and salsa had a nice zip. Service was quick to take our drink orders, tell us about their happy hour menu and check out the beer specials on their board. They were quick to bring out the drink orders to start our engines and came back frequently to check on us for any food orders. After an hour or so and a few rounds in us, we decided to check some of their snacks out. We got the empanadas which was pretty tasty, nice amount of filling and perfect for happy hour. Also we got some of their guacamole to try out, which was pretty good as well. My other friend tried their vegan green chili, came with 2 mini tortillas, chili didn’t have much flavor so unfortunately it wasn’t much of a hit at the table. Overall, it was a nice happy hour with some friends, nice & chill place, good overhead music from reggae to Queen. Love the Caribbean-ish vibe, options for food, drinks and service. Definitely a spot to come back to especially in the summer to sit at the back patio. Place is also dog friendly if you bring your dog to restaurant/bars.

They don’t represent Caribbean food well. The main dishes lacked so much flavor and the service wasn’t that great. We came in during a rainy night and ordered the black bean dip, Cuban sandwich, and spicy Caribbean goat curry. They should really call that the plain goat curry because it had neither flavor or spicy in that. I only ordered that because our waitress told us that it’s a very spicy dish. I think her spiciness scale was broken or the cook forgot to add any spice to the dish because I didn’t taste anything. The only thing worth mentioning is that the black bean dip was good. The sandwich was forgettable. We also ordered some drinks(Boomerang Manhattan) as well and the entire dinner we were trying to figure out if the bartender jibbed in us in the drinks or if the pour not fitting the glass. I did came here for happy hour once a long time ago and remember having a very nice time. So I would recommend happy hour here and only order their Moscow mule for drinks.

Full disclosure: the main reason I love the Innkeeper is because it’s dog-friendly. You can belly up to the bar or sit down for dinner, and your dog can join you! How perfect. Another great think about the Innkeeper is their delicious moscow mules, which are $ 5.5 during happy hour(3 – 6). Some places skimp on the mug, but you’ll be sipping from copper here. I like the relaxed vibe. It’s hard for my to describe the décor…It’s kind of like being in a cool cellar, with barrels serving as stands for candles/lamps. It’s dark and cool and very relaxing.)I hope I didn’t make it sound dingy.) In the summer months, I am a huge fan of their back patio! The menu is just as they describe it: «Bar food with a Latin soul.» I’ve liked everything I’ve had there, but was disappointed in the nacho plate. That makes sense, though, because I just looked and realized it wasn’t on their menu. Tacos of all varieties are delicious, ceviche, and chorizo picante– all great. I’ve had their oysters too, but I don’t like oysters enough to tell you if they were good. I can face the music. I’m not fancy enough to love oysters. It’s cool. One weird thing to share: they keep their napkins and silverware on a little cigar box on the table. They don’t tell you, though, until you ask for a napkin or silverware. I always forget.

Although we didn’t try the food, which looked delicious, we were sorely disappointed by The Coquito drink. My crew is from Puerto Rico and there was absolutely no relation between the ingredients and the island, let alone the recipe. It had a stronger taste than we expected which didn’t help us reconcile the difference between our concoction and theirs. The raspberry Margarita was too strong as well; my friends could barely get through their drinks. My ginger beer was on point though and so was the service. May come back again to try the food and see if the drinks improve.

Ok, so we were on a pub crawl this afternoon, this was the 3rd stop before getting to the hotel… they just kept getting better and better. I loved this place too! At this point, I don’t even remember what I was drinking. But what I do remember is this FABULOUSSUNDAE! Why was I in the mood for a sundae? Well, remember, there were previous drinks involved. Not your ordinary sundae. It was a Fiesta SUNDAE horchata, pistachio, & dulce de leche ice cream with chocolate ganache. Are you kidding me!!! Well, it was also topped with pumpkin seeds. That may not sound very good(believe me, I’m not a pumpkin or pumpkin seed fan)…but this was absolutely fabulous. I just cannot figure out how they put this together but it is to die for!

Atmosphere — they are dog friendly indoors, which is good, but the lighting was so dim, I wished I could see my food and companions better. There were some cool paintings on the walls too. There is a tv screen at the end of the bar, it was playing a sports game when I was there, and there were very noisy/rowdy people watching it, which negatively impacted my experience. Food and drinks — I ordered the yam and sweet potato tacos due to Unilocal reviews, but sadly I was not a fan. I strongly disliked their smell. The chili they came with, I also did not like at all. I did like the drinks and it seemed they have some creative creations on the menu. Service — the waiter was great and he was very accommodating and thoughtful.

Went here on a sunny, Saturday evening. Their patio is gorgeous! I ordered the Cabellero Carne Asada. Absolutely delicious! Loved the big pieces of queso fresco, and the waiter gave a perfect beer recommendation to accompany the meal. The only thing that I didn’t like is that all of the utensils are bunched together inside of a cigar box on your table. I realize that they are trying for style points, but after I’m done rifling through the box of silverware, the«unused»(but most likely touched) utensils stay in the box. Here’s hoping they wash even the unused silverware after each seating…

Damn, I was sure I’d written a review about this place! I really like The Innkeeper. It’s one of the better bars in Belltown in my opinion. The best time to come here is during happy hour. The oysters are a bargain and a half and the moscow mules are excellent, even though I’m typically not a big vodka fan. During the summer, the back patio is excellent. Besides the oysters, the guacamole and bacon are pretty good. Service is always good here. I can’t recall a visit where I was really disappointed with the timliness or demeanor of my waiter/waitress. The menu is Caribbean themed. Accordingly, most drinks are rum and/or vodka-based. So if you’re a whiskey lover like me, you might have a hard time finding something on the drink menu that caters to you, but most drinks are pretty good and as long as you don’t drink whiskey exclusively, you’ll be fine. On Fridays and Saturdays when the rest of Belltown is getting sloppy drunk and puking on the street, The Innkeeper keeps it classy and low key(tbh, I’ve been in here sloppy drunk on a Saturday and they won’t turn you away if you’re chill about your drunkenness). It’s a great vibe for a date or a cocktail connoisseur who quietly judges while sitting in the corner(such as yours truly :)). If you’ve given up on the Belltown bar scene due to too much rambunctiousness, give The Innkeeper a shot. You might just have your faith restored!

Casual and chill, The Innkeeper is the perfect spot for a drink(or two). I’ve passed by their building numerous times before and never thought to visit until just recently. But now I can definitely see The Innkeeper’s back patio becoming one of my favorite spots for the summer. :) We came here on a sunny Thursday evening and found the bar to be fairly empty. Naturally, everyone was on the waiting list for the back patio. But that wasn’t a problem because the bartender kept us well hydrated. ;) When we were finally seated outside, we found a very laidback atmosphere with a mixed crowd of younger and older folks. Our server was very personable as well and had fun bantering with our table and the guests around us. As the sun began to set, the string lights were turned on and the patio transformed into the perfect summer night hangout. My table skipped dinner this time around and ended up sharing a few appetizers and dessert — the empanadas, black bean dip, guacamole and Tres Leches cake. The bean dip and guac both come with a side of chips, so we definitely had more than enough to go around. As someone with a sweet tooth, the cake ended up being my favorite of the evening. :) Apparently The Innkeeper’s take on Tres Leches is to add some cinnamon — yum! I’m looking forward to more nights out on the patio and will be back for dinner and happy hour!
