Forced to pay a $ 5.00 mystery fee
Went in to ship an item to a manufacturer for repairs. The manufacturer shipped backed to the UPS store. Within an hour of delivery, I came in to pick up the package and they told me it would be $ 5.00 «holding fee.»
I mentioned that this was kind of surprising (since I don’t remember agreeing to pay $ 5.00), to which the store employee (guy with glasses) said «So, what? You don’t have $ 5.00?»
Would love to see a UPS representative respond with some info about this fee (e.g., a web link). Otherwise, I am assuming its just something made up at the local store level to nickle and dime customers.

Very nice woman gave me an estimate for items I purchased from an auction gallery close to her. She was much less expensive that her competitor. Took over two weeks to get, and she had wrapped a valuable and fragile item in two sheets of bubble wrap. It is now damaged and worthless. I have never had a UPS store that did not double box something like this.

The service at this location is abhorrent and should be avoided at all costs. I shipped an item home to my family for Christmas and paid $ 80 for a two day delivery on ¹²⁄₂₁. I requested no signature be required because my family would most likely not be home. The driver decided a signature should be required and did not deliver the package until ¹²⁄₂₉ without a signature and they refuse to make any amends or refund the money. Avoid this location because you will regret it in the end!

Needed a last minute document notarized on a Saturday of labour day weekend. Disha was incredibly helpful. Professional and above and beyond customer service.
We even left a shopping bag there in our haste and she found our number and called us to tell us!

If you’re thinking of coming here to get your fingerprints done. DO NOT COME HERE.
I’ll admit the guys behind the counter are definitely nice and «chill» but they don’t know a single thing about fingerprinting. I was too naïve and came to this UPS store thinking they would do the fingerprinting for me.
It was $ 15 for each card to be done, and the worst part was, I had to do it all by myself! He just told me to put my finger on the ink then roll it. I had no previous experience and many of my fingerprints were clearly not visible in any way, but the guy said «I see the swirls». Due to the price, only two cards costs $ 30!
I recommend going to the Seattle Police Department to do your fingerprints, I got 4 cards, DONE BY THEM for $ 7 EACH, the total was still cheaper than the UPS store’s. Their fingerprinting service was superior in efficiency and quality. As an extra bonus, the workers at the police department were so nice to me and I even stayed a couple minutes after to talk with them.
PS, The police station guarantees that your fingerprints will be accepted by whoever you send them to, if they are declined, you can go back and redo them FREE of charge.
That was some serious customer service.

IF you like being told «IT IS, WHAT IT IS «by a rude unprofessional guy who looks stoned and has no intention on helping you when your package does not arrive then this is your place. THE WORST !!! will never ever go back.

It’s 8:35 am, there is a line outside the door.
On the said door, the posted hours are 8:30 to BLAH.
The guy was clearly inside, not looking up, not making eye contact.
Another horrendous experience with UPS. When would they go out of business and put us all out of our misery?

Went in here today to get something notarized and was told they were too busy and to come back later. If you ever need something done — don’t come here.

Dropped in here on a whim to mail a bunch of stuff back to the Boston. Guy behind the counter (DJ) was super chill and just about the most helpful shipping guy ever.

The man ripped me off it was $ 14 to send something to California and I wanted it sent the cheapest possible he told me $ 14 was the lowest I could go and that is simply not true I sent something to the East Coast last week and it was only $ 11 and it was about the same size box and packaging and weight I don’t know if they have different pricing since it’s downtown because at the Federal Way location the pricing was completely different that guy completely jipped me

I was in a huge hurry to get passport preparation done. I was able to call ahead and work with this awesome woman at the store.
When I got there she was calm and helpful and made sure I was well taken care of.
This was customer service at its very best. Thank you, very much!

I have had a box here for about two years now. They have always been good. They have done what I needed and expected and I have always been pleased.
Today however, they went above and beyond. I had an unusually heavy package delivered and DJ from the store went out of his way to help bring the package to the car.
Great experiences here!

I don’t send things very often, but when I do the folks here have been very helpful and friendly and conveniently located.
I’m a big fan of this place for taking back packing peanuts to be recycled! My mom always sends things with excessive padding and I’m glad it can get passed on and reused.

This place is such a disappointment, and a ripoff. $ 39 for a box and some peanuts to send a 14×18 art board ¼″ thick — not including the shipping cost. Both times I have been here the employees have been excessively slow and incompetent, standing around staring while customers pile up in the lobby. Most of them look like they just rolled out of bed. Just go the 5 blocks north to the real post office. Your wallet and your sanity will thank you.

Absolutely appalling.
We had a mailbox here to forward mail up to Canada. A simple request of forwarding mail every Friday. When setup, mail wasn’t forwarded initially. 2 items of forwarded mail were lost over 12 months. It takes several emails to get them to actually do what they’re paid to, as in forward mail. We used to have to email each time to request if there was any mail and to then send it up. Sometimes this was done, sometimes it wasn’t.
We eventually got sick of dealing with this and moved to Regus, a little more expensive, but a thousand times easier to deal with AND they do the simple task of forwarding our mail weekly.
I don’t know what they’re like for their other services, but I STRONGLY do not recommend them for mail forwarding services.

You know how it is when you need something done, and are not quite sure how to get it done. Moving overseas, I had a will written, but it needed to be notarized. My bank wouldn’t do it. Living wills okay, last wills no. So I checked online and found that UPS often has notary services. I chose the one on 1^st because it was close. I walked in with one witness for the will, and figured I’d have to get two drunks off the street for the full three required. Disha, the owner, was sooooo helpful, and nice on top of it. She corralled two employees to sign for me and got the job done in quick order.
Then, thinking ahead, I asked her if I could bring my huge suitcases in to weigh before I headed to the airport. «No problem,» she said. I took them back late that afternoon and her employee weighed them for me with a smile and a nod of understanding. ”

People who work here patiently answered my questions, which is awesome. I’ve been to similar post offices where the employees annoy me so this is a huge step up.

I don’t know about other UPS stores, but this one is great! So far everyone has been very helpful. Today John Mark helped me save $ 70 by cutting a box down to a smaller size, which he really didn’t have to do. He went the extra mile, even though he was the only one working and there were other customers. What a great attitude! Everyone else has been helpful as well, including Michael. Thanks!!!
