Tiger Custom Computers is dedicated to providing IT consulting, maintenance and support services to clients at their homes and places of business. We work on-​site, remotely, and off-​site (pick up/​drop off). We also build custom servers, powerful multimedia workstations and high-​end gaming rigs.

Based out of the Interbay neighborhood in Seattle – with additional technicians in Bellevue, Renton, and Issaquah – we have proudly served hundreds of clients in Seattle, the Eastside, and the rest of King County, WA since 2003.

History

Established in 2003.

For the last twelve years, Tiger Custom Computers has provided IT services for small-​to-​medium businesses and residential clients in the Puget Sound area. When I started the company back in 2003, I wanted to assist friends, neighbors, and relatives with their computers in order to help pay for my college education.

Over the last few years, we have grown from a one-​man shop to having our own office space in Seattle with salaried, full-​time employees. We now provide IT services and consulting to over five hundred clients in the Seattle and King County areas, with additional clients around the country and even abroad. Most of our new clients come from word-​of-​mouth, and I am thrilled that we have established so many strong, long-​lasting professional relationships.

I have lived in the Pacific Northwest my entire life, growing up on the Eastside in Issaquah before moving to Seattle – first for university studies and then to expand the business. I have played with and worked on computers since I was six years old, cutting my teeth on DOS games and programs before moving to Windows 95 with my own hand-​built computer at the age of ten.

In my spare time I enjoy cycling, mountaineering, yoga, martial arts, hiking, photography, cinema and playing online video games with friends.

Found Matt’s company Tiger Custom through a search of local PC builders in the area of Seattle. After reading the reviews on Unilocal I knew his company would be the one. We spoke on the phone to gain ground on what I wanted plus learn some background of his company. Before finding Tiger Custom I spent a month in the fog of computer components and was fed up with being lost. Matt burned that fog away, set up a plan and gave me a build list with an explanation of why he picked out those parts. No hard up-​selling, no bull, just straight forward information and help from Matt’s end was all I ever experienced.
Total time spent was a month between when I first contacted Matt to completion of the build. Build itself took a week, including the GPU/​CPU burn in. Great experience, communication via e-​mail was handled within 24 hours. Only small issue I had was finding their shop and a place to park. Pro-​tip, there is a gated parking lot right next to the building on the south end which you can park in even though it doesn’t look inviting on first glance.

I had a fantastic experience with the team at Tiger Custom Computers: I had them build a custom machine: from the initial meeting to picking up the PC, they were on top of things, and the machine I received is well put together, clean, and performs great: I’m nitpicky, as I used to build my own machines, but everything they did exceeded my expectations.

These guys are the most conscientious people I have ever worked with.
Matt Zaharias, the owner is great. He really thinks about what he would want in his own build, tries to get the best prices and doesn’t mark up anything, charges a fair fee for the build, and does it fast.
The inside was clean, the computer runs perfectly.
He added cable ties, and various other components we didn’t talk about to make it really clean inside.

I develop software, and needed someone to build up a few testing systems for me, with custom parts. I looked around, and believe it or not, it is hard to find a company in Seattle that will build a PC exactly with the parts you want.
But. these guys did it, and on a Saturday no less, and did a great job too.
I’m a developer who’s built a lot of systems, and done a fair bit of sys-​admin, and I believe these guy’s technical chops are quite good.
But, that is not the reason to deal with them, in my opinion.
In my opinion, the reason to deal with them is they seem more concerned about the long-​term relationship with the customer, rather than maximizing their margin on ‘this’ transaction. They were a pleasure to deal with.
For that reason, I’d use them again, and would recommend them.

What a relief! Matt (the owner) just left my house after working some serious wizardry to remove a nasty piece of malware from my son’s laptop. Here’s what was great about Tiger Custom Computers: Matt replied to my email immediately, he made a house call for no extra $, and he was on time. He diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly, and gave my kids lessons on how computers work at the same time! Okay, I learned a lot too. He gave us great advice on how to avoid viruses in the future, and as a bonus helped us get our desktop computer running faster. I wanted to hug him! Next time something like this happens, I won’t sweat it trying to fix it myself. I’ll give Matt a call.
