We went here on a Thursday night with my wife and had a great time. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed with a modern yet warm décor. It was fun to watch Matt Dillon create his magic in the open kitchen. Most importantly, the food was delicious, especially the Crispy Clap-Pot Rice with Trout, which is meant to be wrapped in seaweed along with pickled radish. I know it sounds strange but it’s actually a surprisingly good and unique combination of flavors. The salmon sushi was perfectly fresh and the watercress salad with burdock root and dried pears was also uniquely. Overall a great experience. I’m sure we’ll be back soon

We had the most amazing experience at Upper Bar Ferdinand! We opted for the tasting menu, so got to enjoy about 2.5 hours of amazing little culinary creations along with perfect wine pairings. The ambiance is wonderful, right inside of Chophouse Row. And I love the open kitchen, being able to watch the food being prepared. The entire staff is lovely and knowledgable without being at all pretentious. This is a bold statement, but I’d put this in my top 5 Seattle meals ever!

Took my girlfriend there for dinner and everything was great, we ended up spending a solid three hours sharing plates and drinking wine. The plates and tastes are pretty unique so be ready for some unexpected flavors. All in all its great food, great service, and a great vibe. On top of all that, they don’t accept tips and any tip you do provide is donated. Will definitely be heading back.
