Utina Wardroom

Attentive staff, open space, unique (and great tasting) food, and wonderfully prepared cocktails are just a few points of recommendation for City Catering company and it’s venue the Utina Wardroom.
We held a 40+ person event in this space and found it to be perfectly matching our needs. The bartender was quick enough, serving plates were never empty, and the standing tables were appropriately spaced to leave room for group and individual dancing. Need I see more?!

My husband and I held a joint 30^th Bday here at the beginning of the summer. The folks at Utina Wardroom are great to work with. The venue space is awesome, plenty of street parking, the food is great, and they were really great on working within our budget even if we went overbudget by almost $ 700!
Although, I’d suggest you really make sure to ask the price breakdown for EVERYTHING, because we did find out afterwards that we had to pay for additional stuff that we thought should’ve been included in our venue. These items included renting the catering dishes, barware, tablecloths, even paying for the ice to make cocktails? I know its sometimes normal to charge for some of that stuff, but most other venues had it included as part of the setup. Well, it was too late for us to backout of contract, so we just forked over the extra dough. Part of it was my fault for not telling them I wanted to know exactly everything I would have to pay for and there was miscommunication about that. Overall, the event went great and we were really happy with how friendly and professional everyone was.
I’d use Utina again but make sure you know what you are paying for!

This space is awesome for so many reasons! It is very flexible in usage and look, and it has the amazing opportunity to engage the outside with it’s roll-​up garage doors. The large windows bring in a great amount of natural light and when approaching the venue, offer some amazing eye-​candy for the attendee!
Located in the up-​and-​coming area of South Lake Union, I feel like the location is very centerally located to near-​by attactions and downtown Seattle. It is easy to find and parking is readily accessible.

We hosted a reception at the Utina Wardroom in early May, and as always, City Catering made things come together seamlessly. I heard plenty of guests raving about the food– Favorites were the traditional Czech finger sandwiches that they custom made for our group (Center for Czech Education and Cultre), as well as the Serrano & Basil Wrapped Prawns and Asparagus & Goat Cheese Pissaladiere. And don’t get me started on the Sweet & Salty Chocolate Cake! Food was outstanding. Service was impeccable. The Utina Wardroom was inviting and comfortable. THANK YOU City Catering for making it such a great event! I will continue to send as many people as possible to this caterer, and now to their new space in So. Lake Union. Really superb. The location is easy to find. Street parking is plentiful. Ambiance is great. Rehearsal dinner, cocktail reception, corporate schmooze fest. You won’t go wrong here!
