Gotta say not bad for veggie fast food! I ordered the mini buffalo ‘chicken’ wrap(which honestly isn’t that mini, for me it was a normal size wrap), the cauliflower mash, and Yukon fries. All of these items were great! The buffalo chicken really did taste like the real thing and sauce was very flavorful. Fries and cauliflower mash were sooo good! The gravy for the mash was also a highlight. I did run into a hair in my wrap problem which was a little eww but the staff was very nice and apologetic about it, they made a new one and gave me a free dessert– the chocolate pudding with cookie crumbles prrreeettttyyy good if I say so my self. Pretty much if you’re veggie or a flexitarian like me this is a good place to grab a bite to eat.

I love this place. Super quick and easy with no fuss. The quinoa power salad is my favorite. It’s fresh, clean, healthy and flavorful. Also, it is worth downloading their rewards app even if you go there infrequently.

The veggie grill was a great vegan spot to visit while in town! The atmosphere is refreshing, and the food is delicious – so many options too! I had the Tofu Thai wrap which had any vegans dream in it, seitan«bacon»! It does come with Sriracha so if you’re looking for something as equally delicious without the spice, I would leave it off. The real star of the show was the crispy cauliflower. The orange sauce on the side was phenomenal, I dipped everything we ordered in it! This place is a must!

Excellent food! I can’t believe it’s all plant based. My favorites include: mashed potatoes, the southwest bowl, yam fries, and carrot cake.

Ok, so Veggie Grill is a great place for vegetarians to get a «burger ‘n fries» as well as some fabulous salad meals. They always have several delicious seasonal offerings too which keeps things interesting. I had the«bad boy» burger kale style because I eat gluten free. But I also want to review the service. It is exceptional! Every time we are treated well and if we have questions or the order isn’t absolutely perfect they go above and beyond to not only make it right, but please the pants right off of ya! This has been our experience not just at University Village but all the locations we have been to! Love it! Go try it!

I never thought I would enjoy a vegetarian place this much but Veggie Grill has the veggie thing down! Very flavorful. Their menu and items remind me of Chaco Canyon. The offerings are very similar but the atmosphere and overall experience is not as crunchy. I love meat and go for roast beef, brisket, beef au jus, etc. when available. But, I tried Veggie Grill and really enjoyed it. The people working there are very friendly. Their salads are huge but for $ 10, I think the kale salad could have used some more protein to make it more substantial. There could have been some beans or something like that to make it more satiating. Just kale with some other veggies mixed in does not make a $ 10 salad a good purchase. The sweet potato fries were excellent and very tasty dipping sauce. I loved my BLT with tempeh bacon. It was very tasty. Of course, I would personally prefer real bacon but this was a solid stand-in. :) I will definitely be back when in the area! They are kid-friendly, too! Changing table in restroom!

I have an idea. If you call your place Veggie Grill, put some grilled veggies on the menu. Also, clean the place. We visited @4 on a Saturday, and the chintzy dining room was disgusting. We had our choice of which table to bus before sitting down. Wife and I both had the BLTA. Both smelled like an electrical fire. Seriously. I suppose it is from whatever they do to produce the«grill marks» on the thin, boring sourdough. The bacon was cold and limp. She had the tomato basil on the side, and it was pedestrian. I had the slaw; also nothing special. All this for $ 25.

This place is good if you are into healthy eats. Its more on the pricy side but like all things healthy it is the price you pay. Their food has always been decent. Just not something I would get often. Had the burger one time, decent, had salad, it was good too. Lots of parking at the UVillage, lots of tables to pick from as well!

not bad, veggie grill… not bad. I love meat, and this place can NOT replace meat for me. BUTTTT I do love the idea of it being healthy and very tasty. I have only dined here a couple of times, and I was impressed all times! I have tried the sweet potato fries, the mac and cheese, and the crispy chick’n plate with kale salad on the side. all of these dishes were very delicious, and I can see why it’s such a hit in California(of course it is). The restaurant itself is super trendy but cute, fun, and casual. almost reminds me of a nicer cafeteria you’d find at a high end company or university. I dunno if that even makes sense. thumbs up!

I’m updating my review because of recent menu changes. Just because the restaurant is vegan and they use words like«wholesome» and«clean protein» does not mean it is healthy. Nearly all the menu items are around 500 calories or more. The only items that aren’t seem to be the soups, kids meal and burgers/sandwiches served in kale rather than a bun. I refuse to eat that many calories for lunch. This place is fast food with great marketing. I recently had the glazed bahn mi salad which doesn’t have the option to have no dressing because it is made with marinated kale. It had a whopping 690 calories and 33 grams of sugar. Yes, it was sickly sweet. If I have to eat that amount of sugar, I’d rather eat ½ of a large bar of ghiradelli. They also no longer offer a different soup every day. :( I look forward to the next menu change.

My inner hipster rebels against the fact that I’m giving a chain restaurant five stars… but that’s just a sign of how good my lunch was last weekend at Veggie Grill. Despite the fact that it’s a chain restaurant located in a shopping center, the food was as good as anything I’d expect from an upscale vegetarian restaurant. I also love restaurants where you can order your food at the counter and then sit down — especially when you’re with friends or a big group of people, because it removes the annoying split-the-check hassle that inevitably results(«I only have a 20!» «I only have a card!» «Can we use Venmo?» «I don’t have Venmo!») I digress. We split two entrees: the Bombay Bowl, and the Banh Mi Salad. The Bombay Bowl has roasted veggies, grains, kale, cannellini beans, almonds and a cilantro-green curry. It was really excellent — struck a nice balance between the freshness of the veggies and the creaminess of the coconut curry. The Banh Mi Salad was similarly excellent: lightly fried tofu, kale, pickled carrots and cabbage, jalapeños, grilled eggplant, cilantro, mint, and basil. It was very lightly dressed with a vaguely Vietnamese-inspired dressing. My friend had some ginger hibiscus iced tea, which was really refreshing and not overly sweet. I’ll definitely go back before I leave Seattle for the summer; this place is a find!

When I was living in Montgomery, AL I patronised(and worked for a brief period) a fast-casual place called Zoës Kitchen. As soon as I walked in I was reminded of it, except here it’s all vegetarian, celebrate the vegetable! I’m a huge fan of Gardein products and like what Veggie Grill has created with the products. My first visit consisted of ice tea, Buffalo Bomber with coleslaw, and a side of mac n cheese. Nice and spicy buffalo saucy Gardein chickin’ with cool house made(no MSG) ranch. I like Amy’s vegan mac n cheese, so the mac n cheese didn’t surprise me. Don’t get me wrong, I LOOOOVE hearty, creamy real mac n cheese, but this stuff is very good! Flavourful, creamy, and rich. Can’t wait to return.

If you were looking up the word delicious in the dictionary, Veggie Grill should be a synonym found somewhere within the definition. I came in yesterday and had an outstanding experience. I’ve grew up vegetarian in my early childhood so giving up meat for a meal didn’t bother me, but for those that are skeptical, don’t be because even my non-vegetarian friends including myself now are fan of this place since everything surprisingly taste just like meat with the perks of not feeling in a horrible food coma afterwards since it contains nothing fatty and greasy. The menu may have meat names in the title, but EVERYTHING is completely meat-less. I haven’t been to an American style vegan restaurant before, all the vegan places I’ve been to has always been Asian style which are wonderful, but it’s a great change to experience. Much better than those frozen Morning Star food that I buy to heat up at home. I got the Santa Fe grilled chicken sandwich with a side of fries, the sauce that comes on the sandwich is yummy, the dish itself had plenty of flavors and was a very fulfilling portion. You order/pay for your food on the front counter, but there are people that bring out your food and bus your table. Our server learned that it was our first time at Veggie Grill so he gave us a complimentary carrot cake because I guess their carrot cake is a signature dessert here. What great service, I am impressed of everything here from how clean the restaurant is to the amazing, mouthwatering food to the thoughtfulness of the employees here. Parking is easy, Veggie Grill is located in the University Village. I have to come back and try many more here!

What could be better than a yummy, healthy salad after a day of outdoor shopping at Uvillage? Nothing :)) I love the all hail kale salad. Every time I go there, I try to remember the ingredients, but there is something about this salad that is so unique. It is the perfect combination and I feel like I’m being extra nice to my body by eating it.

Lunch with my vegetarian daughter. VERY good. FOOD: 4.0. We both had Banh Mi(Tofu) sandwiches with fries. Pork Banh Mi is a favorite of mine, but this tofu version was excellent. We both had the optional jalapenos — and they were exceptionally spicy and fresh. Fries very good. We had water. Cost(with tip): less than $ 25. AMBIANCE: 3.5. Inside is cafeteria style with comfortable lighting. Outside seating is nice on a sunny day. Music is modern at a perfect volume — it fades into the background during conversations. SERVICE: 4.5. The woman taking orders was very helpful. The ordered food is brought to your table. No self-bussing the dirty dishes: it is take care of by the efficient wait-staff.

Really great, affordable option for food at University Village. A must try for vegans, vegetarians, and even hardcore carnivores like myself. I’ve tried the Santa Fe Crispy Chickin, Grillin Chickin, Crispy Portobellos, Herb Roasted Veggies, various soups, and sides. Everything was delicious. For a healthy, low-cal option I’d recommend the Grillin Chickin kale style with a side of soup or veggies(I think the veggies are undersold here. They are actually really really delicious). This place is also great for kids! I have a two year old niece who loves their chicken nuggets and sweet potato fries. Cons: sometimes the portions of the sides are unreliable. Sometimes they give me plenty of fries or veggies and I leave full and happy. Other times, they really skimp on the veggies and I end up grabbing something extra off my date’s plate(#sorrynotsorry). It can also get super busy during lunch time, and seating is pretty competitive. Also, if you sit away from the windows, you probably won’t get any service. They should definitely invest in some wifi.

**update to my last review** Stopped by University Village during my lunch hour and needed to get something to-go. Was craving something healthy but hearty… knew Veggie Grill is the place for that! While browsing through the menu, I couldn’t decide on just ONE thing so I opted for my go-to Santa Fe Crispy«Chickin» burger and the Thai«Chickin» salad. The Santa Fe burger WAS my fave at VG, but that Thai salad changed me… forever! o_o Don’t get me wrong, the Santa Fe is delicious! Crispy«chickin» that flakes like real grains in chicken, chunky guacamole spread, fresh veggies, topped with a whole wheat bun… it’s the closest thing to the ‘real deal’! I upgraded my side(for free! yay BOGO birthday coupon!) to a black bean and quinoa mini bowl. This in itself can be a meal! It’s basically black beans and rice(I LOVESOULFOOD!), but the slightly nutty flavor of the quinoa, topped with a special salsa, made the dish unique. I was full eating just that, but decided to eat half of my burger while it was still hot. FYI: eat the burger fresh! Leftovers are not that good. So this Thai«Chickin» salad… let me elaborate. This ain’t your ordinary salad. It is jam-packed with goodies that perfectly complement each other: crisp lettuce, purple cabbage, quinoa, shredded carrot, diced tomatoes, roasted corn, thin-sliced cucumbers, green onion, mandarin oranges, grilled«Chickin» strips, and a sweet chili dressing that brings everything together! The different textures, colors, flavors… MIND-BLOWING! I highly recommend this dish. It also keeps well in the fridge(if you get it to-go, the dressing is on the side) so I ended up eating this the day after purchase.

I love this place! Normally, I can’t feel full after a meal that doesn’t have meat, but I leave here stuffed every time. I’m not much of a veggie person either, but somehow Veggie Grills makes eating vegetables really enjoyable. My usual order is the Papa Portobello, kale style with fries, and it’s freaking awesome! The food always comes out super fast, and it’s delicious every time. The iced teas and lemonades here are super good as well! Even when I’m not hungry but just happen to be nearby, I would stop for the sweetheart fries! The employees here are always super nice as well, which really boosts the enjoyment of the meal!

Veggie Grill is one of my fave lunch spots in Seattle. The food tastes amazing, and the entire menu is vegan! I always feel satisfied, happy, healthy and energized after eating here. My favorite dishes are the all hail kale salad, savory kale caesar salad, mac and cheese, cauli mash potatoes, crispy chickin’ plate. My husband enjoys the crispy chickin’ sandwich and fries. I also enjoy the strawberry lemonade. The portions are always generous, and I oftentimes still have some leftovers to enjoy later. The one thing that we tried that we didn’t like much was their vegan ‘beef’ in the burgers. The chickin’ burger is much better, so we’ll stick to that. The service is always fast and friendly. When you first enter the restaurant, you walk past the menu to the counter and then place your order. The cashier then gives you a number, you get your own drink and silverware and then find your own seat. The restaurant is spacious with lots of seating options indoor and outdoor. It gets pretty busy during lunch and dinner time, but we have always managed to find somewhere to sit down. The food is always made within 5 – 10 minutes and brought out to you. The décor is bright, colorful and modern. The bright color theme gives off an upbeat and cheerful vibe that makes you feel alive, which I appreciate. Prices are a little on the higher side for the menu items, but it is worth the delicious and innovate food creations at Veggie Grill. I will definitely be coming back soon for more explosion of flavors and vegan awesomeness.

Outstanding!!! Every time I choose to dine here, I’m always satisfied with what I order. The wait is never too long, even on a busy Sunday. Even if it may take a minute or two to figure out what deliciousness to get, the person at the register is never perturbed. 2 stars for service. I recently found I had a medical condition that required eliminating gluten, and the lady ringing me up had some excellent suggestions for me when I realized my fave mashed cauliflower and gravy had gluten in it. She was fantastic and I could tell she had tasted everything on the menu. 2 stars for the food. I had the Portobello Burger sans bun with blanched kale instead, along with the vegan macaroni and cheese. The mac and cheese was incredibly filling so I couldn’t eat it all, but it got sooooo close to the real thing that I would order it gain in a heartbeat. And that Portobello Burger… WOW!!! It was topped with a pesto/grilled onions/salsa that complimented the grilled Portobello perfectly. 1 star for how clean this place is and oddly, how good it smells.
