Biggest benefit of this place is that their pharmacy is open on the weekend, which is super helpful. Other than that, I try to hit Target or any other drug store rather than this one. The place is in need of some love and there is always a gaggle of panhandlers out front.

Came to try to print out a large poster size photo. The photo station was definitely not cooperating with the Android phones. Left a little frustrated, but ended up putting my order online without a problem. Ron provided EXCELLENT service. He went above and beyond to help me to get my poster printed, in addition to finding me a specific sized cardboard to glue it to. If anything, Ron is the example of customer service. Another staff member, also hinted that the posters were on sale with a promocode.

If I could rate with a negative star I would. Professionalism and customer service are lacking here. I have used them for over a year now and the final straw with them was today when I was hung up on multiple times for asking for the pharmacy. The automated menu wasn’t working so I had to wait doe someone to answer and that’s when I got hung up on as soon as the words«could I have the pharmacy, please» came out of my mouth. Not only this but I have asked multiple times to correct the phone number they have on file as the one they keep calling is one of my friends instead of mine. A prescription is delayed but not clear on why it’s delayed when asked. So no more. I cancelled all pending fills and asked my doctor so send them else where.

Bonus stars for great pharmacy staff. Retail staff are generally helpful, maybe because of my privileged status(white male), but I’ve seen them downright rude to other marginalized classes. But given the nature of the business and their location, it is probably necessary. It’s no worse than the Walgreen’s downtown on Pike with the the panhandlers, but their certainly is a crew of folks that frequently loiter out front. So, they hang out and socialize, big deal. The Starbucks on the other end of the block suffers the same pox. If you feel threatened by a culture, that’s YOUR problem. Not the store, nor the people belonging to that culture. I feel safe here(as safe as anywhere else in this urban stew) and I belong to this community. I’ll contribute to panhandlers as I have compassion. I wish I could give more. Bottom line, avoid it when it’s busy. Busy Seattle Walgreen’s have terrible chokepoints at the checkout lanes; it is unclear how to form a queue, but I have the same gripe about QFC.

Watch out when going to this walgreens, the parking lot usually has scary folks — and there’s always aggressive panhandlers out front. My advice– go to a different one.

I go to Subway, Safeway, Target and other very regular human places like that and rarely(if ever!) review them… but I feel like I really should say something about this place just incase someone might accidentally wander in expecting a clean, stocked store frequented by somewhat unoffensive and sober patrons like I did… cuz dis ain’t it. I was on my way back from a Dr. Appt in that huge weird medical building/abandoned offices on Beacon Hill and thought I’d just get my Rx filled right there at the Walgreens I passed on the way in. I probably should have gotten back in my car when, in the parking lot, I was«stalked» by a huge SUV with blacked out windows blasting what I can only identify as «bass»… but I didn’t and it very slowly drove next to me as I made my way across the lot into the store. I dropped off my Rx paperwork with the(very friendly and helpful!!) pharmacist and decided to do a little bit of shopping while I wait… something I’ve done a hundred times in a hundred different drug stores. I dunno what the heck was going on this day but most of the shelves were bare and I noticed something really odd — a lot of the products(including some harmless cosmetics) were locked up! I realized right away this place must attract some sticky fingers… and having all this stuff locked up made it very inconvenient to shop. Then I observed a very intoxicated man stumble in and insist on buying a case of whey protein or somesuch thing. Other patrons were also obviously intoxicated in some manner or another — some were barefoot and talking to themselves… and though I’m used to seeing this in Seattle, I just didn’t expect it to be so concentrated in a place popped into to buy medicine at 1pm!

Do you love lines? Do you love really slow checkouts? Do you enjoy being badgered for money, as you enter and exit stores? Then this Walgreens is a must.

Ok look… I don’t like to complain and waste my time unless there is a reason. So I got this stupid coupon, $ 25 for a transferred prescription. So i transferred my prescription to the Walgreen closest to beacon hill. I got there after waiting three days for a call. I showed up and that had told me the prescriptions would be $ 20 each. Well they are if you spend $ 20 for a membership to there prescription club. So I said what the hell? They said sorry you can get them for $ 57 for a one month supply. Now look at Wal-Mart(aka the devil) I got my prescriptions filled(because my doctor told me to) for $ 22 for three months! What the well is that all about? So i pay and what happens my perception was called in and does not count for the coupon. So i was going to get a $ 25 gift card, I was going to get my meds for $ 40 and blister packed with the days of the week, a 90 day supply, however I got screwed like every other corner drug merchant. $ 60 bucks out the door for a bag of pills, no bonus $ 25 bucks but I belong to there club now… I hope I get a Christmas card! Thanks wal-green, wait(wal like wal-Mart, Green like in there pocket got it)

It’s Walgreens. If you need your prescriptions, a broom, shoe polish and a pound of bacon, you’re in luck. Just not after 11. What’s up with that? Suppose I’m legitimately really sick and it’s 11:15 or so? Why isn’t anything open past midnight besides bars in this city?

I agree with the previous reviews about this Walgreens. I used to go here to fill prescriptions but then my insurance dropped them and I now go to the Bartells on Rainier. Wow — big difference. The Jackson St. Walgreens is sketchy and the employees are not friendly at all. The store and parking lot are both cramped. I don’t mind if folks panhandle, times are hard, but aggressiveness is intolerable. This store needs to get their act together. Managers — are you listening???

This Walgreens is the closest to where I work thus I am often compelled to drop in when I’m in need things prior to going into work. Small simple things that is. This particular Walgreens is smack dab in the middle of the central district(AKA the CD). Usually there’s panhandlers hanging outside of it begging for money, which isn’t a good thing. Their customer, & employees are ok people & do their job good. The place is generally kept neat also. Parking can get cramped during the day though. I’d stop here any day of the week still though.

My friend can only find her shampoo here(Mane & Tail), so that’s a plus. But when I’ve had to go there, the workers have been really unfriendly. They also have a really poor selection of travel items. If you’re looking for a place with a variety of travel shampoos and toiletries, you might try Bartell’s.

Ever been to a rite-aid a bartells or a drug store? Well good for you! If you haven’t, it’s a place that sells ointments for ailments, remedies for maladies, creams for that which is deemed bad, etc. etc. etc. And this, my friends, is one of those stores. Oh, they also sell other random crap, like $ 5 t-shirts, junk food, toys for kids, cosmetics, shaving stuff, you get the idea

If I’m dying and need cough medicine, or I’ve run out of toilet paper I’ll come here. But beyond, that I avoid this location at all costs. There’s always a long line, always a surly kid at the counter(don’t even get me started about they angry middle aged guy who works the photo counter). Lately they’ve had to add a security guard to keep the drug seekers, and pan handlers from causing havoc in the store.
