April is the best that there is in Seattle. I’ve seen a lot of other people for sugaring services in this area and April has proven to be not only the best quality but the best price as well. On top of that she is also so sweet and fun to talk to, making getting the hair ripped off your body an actually enjoyable experience. Can’t praise this woman enough, she is seriously the best!

I was able to get an appointment fairly right away with April. Despite being heavily pregnant, she was so fast and made it super easy. The prices, like others have noted, are super affordable and her home studio is clean and lovely. I did have my toddler with me when I went to the appointment and I wish I had known that there are a set of stairs leading from the street up to the townhouse. I dont think many others would have their kids with them, but in case you do, just know that you really can’t take your stroller with you inside anyways, so plan accordingly. April was efficient and did a great job. Glad to recommend her services for those looking for an awesome sugaring person.

She’s amazing! It was my first time ever getting a Brazilian wax and I’m glad she was the one to pop my Brazilian wax cherry! Her place is very relaxing and she made me feel very comfortable. I can’t wait to see her again!

April is a great resource to have in my neighborhood. She was super easy to book — just text her! — and her in-​home sugaring studio was easy to reach, with free street parking. Her little old Frenchie greeted me when I arrived.
The studio itself was small but cute, clean, and comfortable. The space was very intimate, made even more so because April stayed in the room while I undressed from the waist down and climbed onto the table. I was surprised, but not truly bothered. If you’re more shy, you might ask her for a minute of privacy.
I asked for extended bikini + crack to be sugared, and the cost was incredible — I remember it being somewhere around $ 30 for both, wow! The sugaring was very fast, but it hurt a lot more than I’m used to. April is easy to chat with, so that helps with the distraction, but it was still more painful than other sugaring experiences I’ve had. I also quietly experienced some embarrassment during the crack sugaring — I mean, it’s an indelicate procedure no matter what, but lying on my stomach and spreading my cheeks with my hands made me feel a little overexposed. In other sugaring salons, I usually lie on my side with one knee up and lift only one cheek at a time. Not quite as fast, but just as effective and a little less mortifying.
It was all over in the space of 15 minutes. I was given a warm, moist cloth to clean myself off, but I felt weird doing that in front of April so I only passed it briefly over my nethers (and finished later at home). I paid with a check; cash is also accepted.
A little more hair was taken off than I wanted, and I noticed that I ended up with more ingrown hairs than usual — usually I get none, but this time I had several. Still, four stars for convenience, cost, and friendliness!

I’ve never had any kind of waxing except eyebrows. I decided I wanted a Brazilian. April is super nice, friendly, and accommodating. She kept me talking all through to keep focus away from the task at hand. I definitely recommend sugaring. I swear it only took 10 min. I will definitely be recommending her to friends.

I Love, LOVE, love Waxy Moon! I’ve been a customer for 2 years now! Super personable and comfortable space, quick, thorough and clean! April is the best! I drive all the way from North Seattle to see her, she’s that good :)

Pros: super quick and super clean! Really personable, makes you feel welcome and at home. She was also very flexible (able to contact her thru texts), even though I was running late! Also my first time sugaring, and compared to waxing, it was shorter in time, less painful, and had less waste. Plus, it’s water soluble (hated the sticky residue of waxing).
Cons: honestly, can’t think of any. Book an appointment.

April was welcoming, friendly, professional and most importantly, she gave me thee quickest Brazilian + underarm sugaring service ever!!! I was in and out in LESS THAN 30 MINUTES. Definitely will be back.

I can not recommend April more highly. She does great work and is an amazing person to boot. I adore this woman and her rescue dog and approach to life. Her laid back approach almost makes me look forward to being sugared. ;)

Best sugaring experience ever!
I live in the Central District and happened to come across April on Unilocal.She was able to squeeze me in last minute and was super sweet and quick! I am an avid waxer and will never go back to waxing again. She was incredibly thorough and the process was far less painful than waxing. I am hooked!
And on the plus side, she’ll come to you. There is no reason for you to try anyone else. Shoot her a text or give her a call. You will not regret it.

Really awesome to work with. Got a bit of hair removal. Make sure to plan multiple sessions if you have never gotten sugared before. April is really friendly and her conversations are good distractions from the sugaring process. If you are a guy (or girl) and looking for a quick hair reduction, call April!

I am in wax heeaven! Str8 male who loves to be smooth but dreads the aesthcian torture, always got hard waxed, ingorwn hairs, 2 hours to do my whole body, argh!
Then, I looked into sugaring and found my way to April and she changed my life in under an hour, no two hours of torture.
And the pain, what pain compared to traditional waxing?
April is quick, thorough and clearly well-​skilled at what she does.

I would seriously give 100 stars if I could. April is truly amazing! I use to get waxed, but once I was introduced to April and sugaring I could never go back. First off, she is the sweetest, most professional person I’ve ever met. She makes you feel totally comfortable in what could be an uncomfortable position. Her prices are beyond reasonable as well which is a huge bonus. It takes her 10 minutes max and you are good to go. I would never go anywhere else.

I started looking for Sugaring after a horrible experience with hot wax, I had been going to the same person down in belltown for 5 years and it was a hard and sad break to make but my skin had a mind of its own, as did my wallet apparently.
I found waxy moon aka april here on Unilocal and have never looked back.
Yes her scheduling is kind of hard because she is full, (that is only a testament to her fantastic skills) but I haven’t had an issue with it thus far. April has a great sense of humor, is professional, knows how to work with my hair and makes showing your Vag to a stranger totally feel comfortable. She has a clean studio, lots of light and is always playing the best movies on her T. V when I walk in. She is fast and its nearly always painless, well as painless as that experience can be.
I highly recommend her to newcomers to sugar waxing!

I was excited to try out Waxy Moon because of the reviews and prices but I have yet to do it and probably wont.
This review is based off of communication in trying to schedule an appointment with Waxy Moon. It’s not about the waxing services as it seems she does a great job.
I work 8 – 5, M-​F. I emailed to book an appointment with a group of people on the weekend. I received a drawn out email back explaining a crazy and hectic work schedule. It went on to talk about work life balance and the fact that she can’t work weekends because she works 2 jobs weekdays. I get it. I’ve worked two jobs before so I know how it is. I sent another email back asking for a evening appointment over the WEEKDAY. In response I received another lengthy email about work life balance and that she cannot work in the evenings due to the fact that she starts her other job in the early am. Again, I get it BUT please just let me know when you do work so I can figure it out with my schedule! I’m emailing a place of business and I want straight forward answers.
All in all I didn’t end up booking an appointment because our schedules didn’t match, which is fine but obviously we are both busy and three to four emails going back and forth isn’t saving anyone time.

Oh April, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways…
1. She is actually affordable unlike most places out there in Seattle. $ 40 for the first sugaring and then $ 25 for each maintenance appointment (ie every 4 – 6 weeks).
2. She is FAST. I’m in and out in 15 – 20 min. This includes making my next appointment, chit chatting, paying, and sometimes, getting my upper lip and brows cleaned up.
3. Her place is clean and relaxing. What more could a gal ask for?
4. She is super sweet. I adore her. It makes the pain of getting sugared more bearable.
5. This girl knows what she’s doing. I’ve never had a bad experience thus far (and I have with others, unfortunately).
I hesitated putting this review out there because I don’t want her to be even busier than she already is with her schedule but I adore this woman too much… For new clients out there, expect to wait 4 – 6 weeks for your first appointment. She is booked up, but she’s certainly worth the wait.
