Excellent eye care service. They accommodated me in the best possible way. I couldn’t recommend them more highly and I’m not an easy customer.

I was really happy with the service and care. The ONLY thing that I can complain about is possibly the time it took to get the initial appointment (2 weeks from the call) but if you are busy you are probably good. There was also a snafu with my follow-​up appointment. I left 2 phone messages to reschedule but neither were returned and I continued to get messages alerting me of the appointment (I needed to cancel) and also a message saying I missed the appointment. This was annoying BUT they got me in the next day to do the follow-​up with no problem.

It’s unusual that a doctor goes above and beyond your expectations but Dr. Chow did just that. Dr Chow was intellegent, down to earth and honest. He didn’t try to sell me anything! What a nice change of pace. I received exactly what I went for. I’ll for sure go back and get my on trend eyewear.

West Seattle Vision has been my go-​to clinic for the past year. Compared to other optometrists I’ve been to, this place is by far the best value, service, and overall experience. They accept most insurance plans and are great at explaining things that are and are not covered with your specific plan.
Super friendly and professional staff. Appointments start on time. My exam was extremely thorough, Dr. Tran took the time to compare different lenses and explain a variety of options to consider. I never felt rushed during my appointment, and had the opportunity to ask any questions.
Booking an appointment is quick and I’ve always been able to find something that fits into my schedule. Bonus: there is free two hour parking in the back of the building!

Recently had an eye exam with Dr. Chow. This is a very clean and well appointed office with all the latest technological gadgets. The staff was courteous and professional. My appointment started on time. I was very impressed with Dr. Chow and the amount of time he took to complete my exam and explain all my options. I was given a laminated copy of my Rx that I can carry in my wallet.
I’m so happy to finally have a local option for my eye care.

I was so pleased to find these guys! Dr. Tran did my exam and went ahead and wrote prescriptions for both glasses and contacts since I wear both, then gave me small laminated copies in case I needed to use them elsewhere. No one has ever done anything like that for me before. And since I was trying to decide between 2 kinds of contact lenses, she gave me a weeks worth of each to take home and try before making my decision. The whole experience was very pleasant and I found them very thoughtful.

I started going to have my vision tested at the age of 10, that was some 40 years ago.
In all the years I’ve been going, West Seattle Vision stands out as number One. It’s always a great experience.

Dr. Tran was caring and very interested in providing the best possible care. I have difficult vision and she took the time to find a prescription that would be perfect for my vision. I am very happy with the clinic and everyone that works there. They are helpful and kind to boot.

Hey West Seattle Peeps! I had the BEST eye exam ever yesterday at West Seattle Vision in the Morgan Junction (3 doors down from Starbucks)! And, coming from me, Miss High Astigmatism Mama, who’s astigmatism is so bad, I’m lucky to even see the biggest line of letters on the chart (LOL), is a serious testimonial! They spent nearly 2 hours with me. Everyone there is friendly, professional and, the inventory including «Kids» and sunglasses eyewear, as the kids say «Serious Swag!».There’s FREE parking in the back. I highly recommend West Seattle Vision for all your eye care for the entire family!

Great experience this week after another customer’s last-​minute cancellation got me in the door on a weekend, a small miracle with this place. Unlike many vision centers, drop-​ins will likely lead to an apologetic front desk staff requesting you return in 2 weeks when there’s an opening. Book an appointment in advance, or take your chances.
Dr. Tran is incredible – kind, polite, and very knowledgeable about vision and eye health. They have the most high-​tech equipment on site, but she and the staff never try to nickle and dime customers to pay for services they don’t need. High marks for Dr. Chow, too.
The office takes VSP and explains what that covers and doesn’t. («Doesn’t» can be covered by FSA, though.) Prices are in-​line with the market.
Wide selection of glasses and trial contacts for those looking to change brands or test out a new Rx.
Referrals get the referee $ 50 glasses credit, spouses included.
Highly recommend.

with my experience. From making an appointment to handling the insurance to being on time, thorough and engaging, it was great. I’ll be back to purchase my frames and lenses. I highly recommend this business.

I really want to love this place because the people are great (although sometimes a little pushy) and the frames are SUPER CUTE! However, I had a pretty bad experience with the glasses I bought here last year. I brought in the prescription given to me by my regular eye doctor and picked out frames. When the finished glasses arrived and I tried them on, I couldn’t see. Everything was blurry and out of focus. I told the woman at West Seattle Vision and she tested the lenses to make sure they matched my prescription – she said they did. I still couldn’t see. So the doctor available re-​tested my vision. She said that there was a very small difference between her findings and the prescription from my eye doctor. They agreed to order me new lenses at no charge. The finished glasses arrived once again. I tried them on and they were still a bit blurry, but slightly better. The woman said that my eyes would adjust and that they couldn’t replace the lenses again for free. So I took my glasses home and wore them for several months. During that time I continued to strain and it seemed like the glasses just got more and more blurry until I couldn’t tolerate wearing them anymore. Mind you, these glasses cost around $ 650 with lenses, frames, anti-​reflective coating, and all the bells and whistles. I finally went back to my eye doctor to have my vision tested again. He said the change in my vision was pretty negligible. I then took my glasses to the optical in my eye doctor’s building. They tested the lenses I got from West Seattle Vision and said they were no where near my prescription. So I had to spend another $ 300+ to get new lenses. I definitely feel ripped off.

Good selection on frames. I had an exam at WSV for the first time a couple days ago. Dr. Tran was friendly and explained each part of the exam before she did anything. The entire staff was friendly and helpful in selecting frames. They do offer the big machine (?) that looks in your eyes and allows you to skip dilation, but it costs extra. I passed and went for the good old fashioned dilation, but regretted it hours later when my eyes were still dilated… maybe I am overly sensitive to the drops. I went to bed that night, still dilated 7 hours later. I wish I would have paid the extra $ for the machine! They also did the procedure that blasts a puff of air into your eye to measure pressure… there are alternatives to that procedure these days too but I was not offered it at WSV; maybe that’s part of the package I declined when I opted for regular dilation (?). I’m waiting on my glasses to arrive… the turnaround is 2 weeks. Hoping my selection was a good one — I picked out frames after getting dilated.

They were flexible, personable, professional and reasonable. A really great experience. I am so impressed with Dr. Tran. So friendly and knowledgable and personally invested in my wellbeing.

I was looking for an eye doctor and the reviews of most in West Seattle were terrible so I was happy when West Seattle Vision opened. I made an appointment and they were great. State-​of-​the-​art technology and I felt like they really cared about my eye health. They helped with my insurance and helped me pick my first set of glasses. I have found my new eye doctor in Dr. Julie Tran and her great staff!

I recently went to West Seattle Vision for my first eye exam in nine years. Dr. Chow and staff were great! They were fun and friendly. I actually enjoyed hanging out waiting for my appointment and while my eyes dilated. The exam was very thorough and Dr. Chow was engaging and knowledgeable answering all of my questions. I also obtained my first rx ever for readers. Staff helped me pick out some super cute frames and coordinated everything with my insurance company. A week later my glasses were in and everything was a go! I’ve been telling others to check out West Seattle Vision but thought I should share here too to get the word out.

Dr. Chow — five stars. Customer service turn-​around time via their website — zero stars I am still waiting for a response — I may have asked a rhetorical question and it was dismissed? I really wanted this place to be my go-​to for annual exams, however there have been other minor instances where information was just not relayed in the professional matter.

This is by far the best Eye Clinic I’ve been to. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I didn’t even have to get my eyes dialed (YAY) because they have some cool machine that can take pictures of the back of your eyes. I found the cutest pair of glasses, and the ladies at the front desk were super helpful with explaining how my insurance works, and how to get the most out of it. I highly recommend West Seattle Vision to anyone that needs an eye exam, or wants to buy contacts or glasses.

This is by far the very best optical shop I have purchased eyeglasses from in Seattle! I tried two of the other well known optical shops in Seattle only to have one tell me they couldn’t make my lenses due to their lab not being able to make them correctly, and the other one provided frosty service and high prices. The experience here was completely different and a very happy surprise! Their selection of frames is outstanding, their optician is excellent in providing great recommendations and excellent customer service, and I am thrilled with my new glasses. Thank you for a completely wonderful experience and I highly recommend you to everyone I know who wears glasses!

I hadn’t had an eye exam since moving to Seattle over 3 years ago and needed to update my prescription. My SO used to go to another place in West Seattle, but recently had a such a terrible experience he recommended I try this place instead. I am very happy I did. Dr. Chow and his staff are friendly, approachable, and explained everything thoroughly. The new machine that takes photos of the back of your eye was a trip — this machine means you don’t have to have your pupils dilated.
My prescription hasn’t changed and no one tried to upsell/​hard sell me anything. It is a refreshing change. I don’t have Vision coverage and the staff laid out the pricing and detailed what was in the glasses exam and contact lens exam. Very good value for great care. I look forward to seeing (pun intended) them again in the future.
