History

Established in 1998.

Rose Titcomb, a San Francisco native, grew up babysitting her neighbors’ children in Pacific Heights. The demand for her service quickly outgrew her ability to fill the requests. Inspired, Rose started recruiting her friends to help. In 1998 Rose founded The Core Group. In 2005, with the help of her partner Chris, The Core Group became Wondersitter. Fifteen years later Wondersitter is now still a family run business and is recognized as one of the première on-​call child care service in the United States. We have provided WONDERFUL child care to thousands of families across the country.

Meet the Manager

Candice V.

Manager

In 2011 Candice returned to the United States after nearly 10 years abroad in Hong Kong, China and Rwanda working in financial services, international development and social enterprise. In early 2012 Candice, her husband and daughter decided to settle in beautiful Seattle to be closer to family. It was then she decided to join Wondersitter, a family business owned by her brother and sister in law in San Francisco. It was perfect timing because Wondersitter was ready to build on its amazing San Francisco reputation to grow in other cities around the US. Knowing the difficulties of finding and maintaining the «village» to raise a family, Candice is excited to be offering WONDERFUL to Seattle families.
