Their Black Sugar Bubble Milk is SO good but everything I’ve tried here has been very good and the service is always friendly. I’ve also bought their loose leaf teas those are high quality as well.

I have been searching for milk tea in Seattle that isn’t cloyingly sweet for what seems like forever now. The search is over!
I ordered the black milk tea with 50% sweetness and it was actually not sweet enough for my taste. The cashier did warn me that since they make their own syrup it is not nearly as sweet as other places. She also pointed out that they have self-​serve syrup at the counter that you can add to taste.
Next time I will definitely go with 100% sweetness but even with it not being as sweet as I wanted this milk tea is better than any other place I have been.
Next time I get Dim Sum I will be going back to Young Tea.

I used to come here a lot but I found out that, even though they claim that they have healthy teas, the teas they use here aren’t very good quality. They over-​steep their teas too to get more out of them. They are very nice though and their drinks are very consistent, so if the quality of the tea isn’t important, then this is a good place to get boba!
Small fact: I bought osmanthus oolong tea leaves from them but there was no osmanthus in there at all. It was pretty expensive too! ($ 25 for 90 grams)

Their milk tea is extremely good! Adding tapioca and homemade syrup make it tastes much better. My favorite is Earl Grey Milk Tea with tapioca and light ice. Honey Oolong Milk Tea is great too!

If you’re into Taiwanese style boba drinks, young tea is for you. It’s the 2^nd spot I’d go to for boba at the international district. If you frequent often I recommend signing up for their rewards program.
Earl grey milk tea with boba — the earl grey is pretty strong and on point, the boba had the right amount of chewiness.
Iron Buddha milk tea — a special oolong milk tea, worth trying over the usual regular milk tea.
I wish they had more options in tea and flavors. It’s mostly milk tea.
The drinks don’t wow me but they’re not terrible (like Gossip down the block)

I have to admit I’ve become so accustomed to the sweet powder based drinks of the Ave that I forget bubble tea is in fact tea. This little shop in the international district makes distinctly «tea-​y» (if that is even a word) bubble tea. You can truly taste the different teas they use. I got the signature with tapioca and 50% sweetness. Compared to other bbt shops I think they are also pretty light handed with the sweetness so I would recommend going a grade higher than you usually get at other shops to get the same taste. The signature was delicious but will definitely have to come back for the pu erh.
Also extra kudo points for making spot on bobas! The sweetness and texture were perfect.

I love this place! If it was closer I would buy bubble tea from here every day.
The prices are competitive and the cups are really big. I like that you can customize the sweetness and ice of your bubble tea, but I’ve never found the regular to be too sweet. The service is really quick. Seriously! you can stop at the passenger load zone in front of the shop, get your bubble tea, and come back within the allocated 5 minutes.

I’ve only been here once which is why I rated it A-​OK. I always believe you have to try a variety of items on a menu to give it a higher or lower rating and I’m just not there yet so don’t be discouraged by my 3 star review!
The location is right in the International District so unless you come here on a free parking day/​time, I would visit Young Tea when you have other errands to run or meals to eat to make the most of your parking fee.
My boyfriend ordered the coffee milk tea with coffee jelly and boba. We both really enjoyed it. I liked that it wasn’t too sweet.
The café itself is very cute. There are a good amount of tables and stools. The café was about half full with people gathering for a chat, and some people working or studying on their laptops.
You have to walk up stairs (not very many) to get to the entrance so if you are unable to climb/​descend stairs, please keep that in mind.

I think it goes without saying that in Seattle, Young Tea is the best bubble tea house with emphasis on their teas. Their teas are more centered around the quality of tea as the milk flavor is lighter than other places. You can really enjoy the different tea flavors they have to offer.

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place after eating at Little Sheep upstairs. They brew tea and not use powder (at least from what I have ordered) and you can actually taste the tea! It’s not an artificial flavor like other places that shall remain unnamed. Like Sharetea, you can adjust how much sweet and ice you would like in your drink. They take orders in English, Mandarin and Cantonese (maybe more languages?!).
The staff are friendly and are happy to offer their suggestions to your taste/​mood.

I would give you a 4 star but the first time I went I was given a premixed drink. and that made me feel used and taken advantage of.
Granted I did ask for a fresh one and they kindly made a new one for me.
Besides that funny incident, young tea provides fresh milk tea. No powdery stuff so it definitely taste different than what you are use to.
I like the idea of being able to add your own sugar to match your needs.
I do like this place and have been back a few times.
It’s good, fresh and different that the other milk tea joints.

If you’re looking for the typical milk tea with powder milk and very sweet drinks, I don’t think this is the place for you.
Every drink has a pretty strong tea flavor and they add real milk. The best part is, they can substitute it with SOY MILK! I’m lactose intolerant and I was amazed that they had this option because coming from California, most places are powder milk and/​or don’t have that option.
I don’t like my drinks too sweet but I got 100% sweetness here because they make their own syrup and it’s not too sweet. If you’re afraid that it’s going to be too sweet, I recommend getting less because after you get your drink, you can add more syrup yourself at the counter.
I highly recommend this place and I will definitely come back if I’m in the area!

This was a pretty cool place. It was packed when we stopped by on Christmas day. I asked the staff if it was because of Christmas. She said it is usually busy but not quite this busy. The line was long and the place was packed, yet they were pretty quick and still friendly. They have a nice selection of drinks and I love that you can pick your sweetness level! That’s cool. I would like to come here again sometime. It’s not really close to home, but if I am ever in ID again I think this will be my ideal tea spot (not sweet, sugary teas like other places have).

Maybe I just didn’t order the right drink, but I wasn’t impressed with this place.
First off, it smells weird in here. Not sure what the smell was, but I didn’t like it one bit… I wasn’t the only one who noticed, either. My friend turned and looked at me and we both were grossed out.
The employees were fairly nice, so I’ll give them that… And for the most part, the place seemed pretty clean.
I got the iced matcha latte and wasn’t impressed. I stirred it well and even after that my «matcha latte» just tasted like MILK. Straight milk. I asked how sweet it was prior to ordering and the girl said «pretty sweet!» but no… I was told by my friend the matcha taste was light, which I was okay with, but you literally can’t taste ANY matcha.
Another thing that threw me off: they have handicap friendly doors, and handicap signs on the building next to it… BUT THEY ONLY HAVE STAIRS, STEEP STAIRS, to get up and down into Young Tea?! How does that make sense?! There’s no ramp or anything to actually make this place handicap friendly…
Not sure I’ll be back. Glad I finally tried it, though.

We stopped in here for milk tea and tea after eating dinner. It was so cold in Seattle. Needed something… coffee or tea please! So, we stopped in here for tea. I had the warm milk tea. The milk tea was a bit pricier, but the cup is larger. It’s basically the size of the cold milk tea, but in the hot version. haha… Warm me up, before we go go.

Recommend trying their roasted milk tea and signature milk tea if you are a big tea fan. Milk teas here are strong and flavorful. You can choose your sweetness level by adding more of their house made sugar! Probably the best boba in Chinatown if you want authentic tea flavored boba.
Baristas are really nice and friendly! They have a point reward system that has bogo free drinks sometimes texted to you! Recommend joining!

Came here with my friends who recommended me to try this place out. Young Tea apparently makes organic milk tea and their price seems to reflect it reasonably. I am sick of drinking powder made tea so I appreciate tea shops like this that goes beyond making profits off mass produced bubble teas.
Their bubble tea definitely tasted like a real milk tea, though I was expecting something little bit more special than what I could possibly make at home without using any special ingredients. Their bubble tea would taste perfect with some pastries they also sell but not quite as good if you are just drinking the tea by itself.

I really like this place because it’s clean and they serve fresh and real tea drinks. I’ve pretty much only ordered the lemon ai-​yu drink with the jelly and it’s always been refreshing! They also share a parking lot with Little Sheep so it’s very convenient.
They also have wifi and a few tables/​seats.

When in Chinatown, you must have boba! We sought this spot out after reading nice reviews. The restaurant is a little bit hidden on the second floor.
This is real tea. I’ve been to many boba shops with milk tea that’s sweet, processed, and likely out of a mix provided by the franchise owner, but Young Tea is different. The tea is fresh, natural, and sweetened ever so slightly with their homepage simple syrup. The boba had a nice bite to it and tasted great.
The staff were so sweet and made great recommendations on what we should try. They interior is nice and comfortable and was a perfect break on our walk through Chinatown.
