The wheat crust pizza was delicious, but it was unanimous that the gluten free crust was pretty gross. Thus it would be 4 – 5 stars for the regular pizza and about 1 – 2 for the gluten free crust, giving an average of 3 stars.

This is solely a review of their gluten free crusts. I really appreciate that they offer gluten free crusts. However, I would highly recommend a change in vendors because the gluten free crusts taste literally like cardboard. I realize that most people think that of all gluten free crusts but there certainly is a difference in quality of crusts available and this is one of the worst.

Great pizza — will return. Had the pig n pear. Thought $ 20 was a lot but the pizza is quite large. Good amount of toppings. Crust is delicious, light and flaky and browns perfectly on baking paper. Like the organic ingredients.

It took over an hour to get the pizza delivered… And it doesn’t even have to be baked.

Delicious, delicious, delicious salads and pizzas! My husband and I order from here at least once a month. The cranny goat and iron man salads are amazing and the pizzas are so wonderful it’s as if a pizza scientist put together the perfect combos to compliment each other. Zaw’s is hands down, the best pizza ever.

I like their pizza. but… tonight I ordered the arugula patch only to realize 30 blocks away that they forgot the ARUGULA. It’s literally INTHENAMEOFTHEPIZZA. I returned to get it and received the tiniest saddest bag of swampy arugula. The salad I ordered was pretty gnarly too.

*For 30 bucks it’s a solid deal *Loved the Ironman salad, def. a repeat purchase *Easy to bake, fresh flavors, much better than dropping 25 bucks on a single large pagliacci

Called in our order early in the afternoon. Got to the store hours later at our pick up time, and there was a massive backlog of orders. Stood there for more than half an hour with several other customers who were also waiting for pre-ordered pizzas. One girl seemed to be doing all the work, another was watching. A third girl seemed pretty put out that we were all there. It was just kind of weird. That being said, we really liked our pizzas we ordered and will probably give them another shot.

I like this place. They have ‘best value’ deals and I went ahead and got the two pizzas for $ 27 which is a good deal considering one pizza is around $ 18. I especially like the arugula patch pizza and the hunter and gather pizza. Arugula patch has proscioutto, tomatoes, basil, and arugula. Hunter and gather has mushroom and sausage w/arugula top after its baked. We’ve also tried a chicken one which was just okay, probably wouldn’t get that one again. The take and bake cookie is a good deal at $ 3.75 per giant cookie and the chocolate chip one is quite tasty. Service is quick and staff is nice.

For $ 30 bucks you get fancy, gourmet healthy pizza, a six pack of craft beer(or bottle of wine), a sald and a cookie all to bake at home. Some of the best pizza I will ever taste. Great place to pick up something fast that is also healthy and delicious. GOINGBACKLOTS!

We have driven by soooo many times and finally decided to try it when there was a Groupon. I will definitely go back! They make take-and-bake pizzas but with really good ingredients. We had the Hunter-Gatherer, which had mushrooms, sausage and a variety of cheeses on it, and even came with a little package of arugula to top the pizza after it came out of the oven. The pizza was sooooooo good and the girl working there was really nice too. They offer a variety of options and really special combinations of toppings. The price is more expensive than your typical take-and-bake, but it’s really worth it because of the quality. Also, they have some combos with salad and drinks(beer, wine or fancy sodas).

I had been interested in trying Zaw for some time, so I bought a $ 15 Groupon allowing me a $ 10 credit for each time I buy 3 separate pizzas. Their Groupon is a mandatory 3 time experience, and $ 10 doesn’t even pay for half of one of their pizzas. So you’ll be dishing out about another $ 30 for the rest of the 3 pizzas and tax. Also of note, my change from my order was stategically handed to me over the large tip jar next to the register. Tip jar? I tip generously when good service is provided, but taking my money at a counter and handing me a cold pizza is hardly going above and beyond. That would be fine, if not for the multitude of reasons that Zaw is terrible. First and foremost, the pizza is average. I’ve had 2 different pizzas now, and there is nothing to get excited about. The toppings were fresh and above standards of your fast food pizza, but that’s where the compliments end. The crust is paper thin. Even when ordering«thick crust,» the pizza is so light you wonder if you’ll be full when sharing a pizza with someone. Hint: You won’t. The sauce is spread so thin, I’ve yet to get a good taste of it. There’s no pop to it at all. The two times I’ve been to Zaw, it seemed like they were trying to put as little on the pizza as possible and get away with it. Next is the price. Zaw is take and bake, so you’d think the price should be lower to accommodate that you’re picking it up and baking it yourself. Not so much. A pizza with taxes is somewhere just north of $ 20. There are other specialty pizza places in my area of north Seattle(Pagliacci and Flying Squirrel) with far superior taste, better price, full belly at meal’s end and(oh by the way), they’ll cook it for you and deliver to your door. The staff were nice and store was clean. However, I find it hard to imagine this business model supports the number of stores they have. I guess Zaw’s true competition is Papa Murphy’s, as that is also take and bake. Between the two, Zaw wins on ingredients/toppings, loses BADLY on crust/sauce, and loses in a landslide on cost and overall experience. We won’t be back, and neither my wife nor I am looking forward to this last pizza on our groupon…

I was a true skeptic, take and bake for the price of fully baked… hmm… I jumped on and tried it after a couple friends told me that it was actually good. Since we have ordered the pizza nearly 20 times, loved it every time, though I do recommend knowing how your oven cooks as each one is different. Yummy, crust and totally great ingredients!

Okay, not terrible, I would eat again if it were offered to me for free. I spent over $ 20 for a weak little pizza and a couple of cookies. I could have spent as much for a better pizza already baked and delivered to my door. I actually prefer a thin crust, but this one was pasty and flavorless. Topping were decent in quality and flavor, but it was a light weight pizza for a large and barely satisfied two diners. The staff was very friendly and were pleasant to deal with, so no points off for customer service. I just wish these friendly folks were serving a better product.

I gave them a try after the latest groupon deal where it was over 50% off. And have mixed feelings. The good: The quality of the pizza is definitely high. which was a nice change of pace from most pizza joints. It wasn’t overly salty or loaded with grease. Definitely a healthier pizza(if there is such a thing) The salad was pretty darn tasty i must say. the ‘ceasar’ dressing however was the most bland i have ever had. was more just crème sauce. They cater to people with eating restrictions, which is really nice pizza is a hard one to eat for those who can’t have gluten, or are veggie. The Bad: The crust was pretty horrible. Cardboard as others have mentioned is definitely a correct labeling. Normally my mastiff gets a crust or two anytime i order pizza. Gave her one from Zaw, and she refused to even touch it. Which is really saying something when my garbage disposal on 4 legs doesn’t even want it. The price is outrageous for take and bake pizza. especially for how thin/small the pizzas are. Overall value here is pretty low compared to other places, even ones that cook the pizza for… way too little cheese on my pizza, and the 3 toppings i ordered amounted to covering only about 20% of the pizza. never had 3 toppings take up less than half the top before. So wasn’t very impressed with that. In short. This place is great if your a gluten fearing hipster who thinks adding wine to a pizza joints menu makes it ‘cool’. If your a pizza lover though, it’s definitely lacking in most every aspect. Don’t think i’ll be going back anytime soon. My advice, hit up Wholefoods for a fresh made pizza with better cheeses, good crust, and WAY lower in cost.

Good tasting toppings(poor tasting crust), but so little crust or toppings its totally unfilling! We were still hungry after eating an entire pizza. WAY too expensive. The regular employees are really nice, but someone I assume was the owner(didn’t have the same«uniform» but was in regular clothes and telling others what to do) was so surly and rude I literally walked out and let my partner finish ordering. The only good thing about this place is although I _love_pizza and it is super close I am not tempted in the _slightest_to spend the mega bucks the charge to have their pizza!

I’ve had it twice. Two different pizzas. And I’m a loyal fan, now. I’ve heard people rant and rave about Papa Murphy’s and other«bake at home» pizza places, and I’ve always been disappointed. My wife and I tried out Zaw because we didn’t want to cook, it was new and only a block down the street, we liked the inclusion of micro brew and wine as drink options, and like typical Seattle sheep our ears perked up at the word«artisan.» Well it’s fantastic. We had the Savory Savary pizza with the pear salad and whatever wine they suggested to pair with the pizza. It’s a contender for the best pizza we’ve ever had. Several weeks later we found ourselves with no food in the fridge and no motivation to get the coupons together for a grocery store trip, so we ordered just a pizza – this time the Tailgate Feast – and had it with a Columbia Valley Merlot(I think) that we had lying around, and writing about it makes me want another one.

The Good — Two Stars for: Super friendly staff, Good Salad, Editable Pizza The Bad: Crust was cardboard-y and frozen pizza flavorless. It was thin in a bad way. I love thin crust too. Also… pretty spendy and small in size. $ 30 for pizza and salad I have to bake at home. I really don’t understand the market segment for this. There was an interesting hint of red wine that overpowered the sauce of the pizza. My dining companion, who loves pizza, was not fond of it. Bottomline — As one who makes his own pizza dough from scratch a couple times a month, this dough/crust was just not good. Maybe they slipped the gluten free in instead of the traditional. The PCC down the street has better take and bake pizza for $ 9.99, if you need one in a pinch.

Well, I couldn’t have been more happy to see Zaw take over the old Domino’s space that was vacant for half a year… I have been a papa Murphy take and bake client on occasion for years… but I also happen to oversee the running of the only Pagliacci franchise in existence which happens to be on the UW campus. So I have my exposure to every end of the spectrum of pizza. My personal taste leans more toward Neapolitan style pie… ala tutta bella, however I can appreciate different types of pies. I tried to order a Zaw online from my desk at 5:05pm…there was no online ordering available for the Wedgwood store. So, I called. They took my order… did not try to up sell me in any way… I am not sure if I am pleased or disappointed by this… I probably would have ordered extra basil and prosciutto on my Arugula patch pizza if I had been asked. I also ordered a Cranny Goat salad… so my large pizza and the salad came to $ 28.05 with tax. It was ready to pick up in the 20 minutes they stated. The folks behind the counter were very helpful and nice. She did try to sell me wine and cookies, which I actually appreciated. Now to the pie. The crust is gloriously thin and bakes up nice and crisp. I opted to drizzle my own extra virgin olive oil on the pie as it came from the oven… goood call. Soooo, for a pizza called Arugula Patch what you may hope for is arugula. It came in a little bag on the side with a lemon wedge(exactly one 12th of a lemon). The arugula that was in my bag was dead… complete with black edges and that«I left flowers in the vase too long» rotting vegetal smell. Not cool. The pizza itself was pretty good… a little dry, as there were exactly 8 halves of baby pear tomato for moisture. The Cranny Goat salad was just ok. Nice fresh spring mix, good amount of cranberries, not nearly enough goat cheese for the price and possibly 7 – 10 pine nuts, a bit skimpy for the price, $ 7.75. The dressing is a fiasco… a blush wine vinaigrette… yikes! Raw wine and clumps of oil… even after the dressing sat at room temp for 30 mins… the oil was still clumpy… I much would have preferred something with mustard and possibly red wine vinegar… anyhooo… For my first go… not too terribly impressed… but I want it to be a viable option so BADLY I will… I say I will try again. Help me to see the light Zaw… cuz I really DO want to.
