Saved my life!!! Amazing staff especially Dr. Michael Rusky and Lynn Lovino. If you need help with addiction there is no better place on planet earth to go to. I am forever indebted to Azure Acres

This was my one and only time in an recovery center. I didn’t know what to expect. I was quite ill when I arrived and was a bit of work for the staff, to say the least. After 28 days, I was fortunate to experience a shift in my perspective, thanks in part to my newfound sobriety, but mostly due to the support I received from the remarkable staff at Azure. If I were just rating the staff I would give the place 5 stars. A bit of background: I am 51 and was highly motivated to clean up my life and took the program seriously. I read every piece of literature they gave me, wrote much, attended all of the sessions, and I leaned on the staff a lot! There was always somebody there for me to process issues. The facility is an early 20^th century redwood lodge, rustic but comfortable. There is a pool which I enjoyed as I was there during August. There is an bare bones outdoor weight room/​laundry room. I got exercise by walking/​hiking the loop. The food was ok with a salad option at lunch and dinner. To be clear, this place is not about the fitness, spa or cuisine. This is a serious inpatient facility to help get patients clean and started on a sober path. The staff are highly trained experts who temper the approach with just the right amount of levity. My experience at Azure will remain a part of me for years. I highly recommend Azure for individuals seeking a sober path. If you’re not serious, please don’t take up a bed here.

I attended Azure for 30 days and was very impressed with the Clinical Staff as well as the accomodations. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is seeking recovery. My hat is off to you at Azure!

My son attended Azure Acres and completed treatment and appreciated his time there enough want to return after relapsing. He is currently relapsing and we have called Azure Acres many times to try and see if they can take him again (as they said that they were an ongoing support community.) We are very sad to report that after almost two weeks, we have still not received any call back from the intake coordinator after attempting to talk to him about relapse and re-​admittance numerous times. This is taking a toll on my son as this was a place he felt he could go and trust, a place he could look to should he have trouble with recovery. For them not to even acknowledge our reaching out with a return phone call under this circumstance is simply unacceptable. Very saddened to think that a center claiming to support serious addicts could actually add more stress to an already serious, delicate and even dangerous matter. Addiction is a serious issue and treatment centers need to handle themselves with as much care and concern for the addict as they can. Communication is vital. Very disappointing.
