Kirsten and Chyrel were absolutely amazing!
From the trial runs to the big day, I was so happy with everything.
I was married on 4÷23÷16 at Sova Gardens in Sebastopol. I had rented a cottage near by to get ready in with my bridesmaids. Kirsten and Chyrel came there to get 5 bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, and the bride herself ready for the wedding. They were so accommodating: touch ups here, fix this there, last minute changes. It wasn’t about them hurrying to get to their next appointment or how much money they would be making. It was all about mine and my girls happiness and that was very clear from the beginning. They are both so fun and outgoing, easy to talk to and get along with, that it felt like we were hanging out with friends!
I would use them again a million times over for any event I need to look stunning for.
Thank you Kirsten and Chyrel, from the bottom of my heart, for making us all look drop dead gorgeous!

My wedding was November 11^th, 2015. Devotion Studios did both my hair and makeup. Kirsten did hair and Chyrel did my makeup. When I got my trial done, I liked it but wanted just a few things changed… makeup a little darker, hair with a little more body. When it came to my wedding day, I could not have been more pleased! They both made me feel so at ease. I absolutely LOVED my makeup, it popped in photos but didn’t make me look «too much».
My hair turned out exactly how I wanted it! It was gorgeous! They both are very talented, and the perfect calming personalities to make any bride feel sane amongst the craziness of a wedding day. I am very grateful for these two woman!

I used Devotion Studio for both hair and makeup for my wedding this past June– they were amazing, I couldn’t have asked for a better studio to work with. Devotion Studio was the second hair salon I went to for a trial hair session for my wedding and I am so glad that I went with them! Kirsten immediately put me at ease and made me feel confident in her abilities. I asked her advice on whether I should get hair extensions for my wedding (as I have very thin hair and not much of it) and she agreed that I should and recommend budget friendly extensions. The best part about this was Kirsten so kindly cut my extensions the day of my wedding, as I am clueless and had no idea that I needed to do that/​or should do that ahead of time. She really went above and beyond with this.
I chose to have my hair and makeup done at the wedding location and Kirsten told me that she and Cheryl drove by my site the day before to make sure they knew EXACTLY where it was so that they wouldn’t be late on my wedding day! Talk about commitment! They were on time and actually finished everything ahead of schedule :)
Typically, where you decide to get your hair and makeup done is a calm and peaceful oasis — this was not the case for my wedding day– my on site location was pretty chaotic. We constantly had friends and family walking through asking me questions getting items out of the room that they needed– it was craziness — this didn’t phase Kirsten or Cheryl at all — they continued to work calmly and professionally.
My hair and makeup turned out awesome! I got several compliments and told how amazing I looked! Which is typical for a bride, BUT, I felt people were genuinely impressed– and being someone who is a tomboy and doesn’t wear that much makeup regularly and never curls her hair — it wasn’t over the top — it was just right. I also had my best friend and mom get their hair and makeup done with Devotion Studio My best friends hair and makeup looked wonderful. My mom on the other hand is kind of high maintenance and has had the same stylist for 20 years (which isn’t Kirsten) and unfortunately she didn’t like what Kirsten did with her hair — Kirsten apologized and offered to remove the cost of doing my mom’s hair even though she spent at least 30 minutes working on my mom’s hair — that is great customer service! I honestly think that it was my mom being high maintenance and that this «negative experience» was not because of Kirsten’s abilities. She made my thin unable to curl hair last for several hours when normally curls fall out of my hair within an hour– so that says something. My mom also said my hair and makeup looked beautiful so it was obviously just my mom — good thing she isn’t on Unilocal to read this!
Overall, I was very satisfied with Devotion Studio — Kirsten is experienced, kind, supportive, reliable, affordable, and a great person to work with! She was very responsive to all of my questions and was super helpful through the wedding process! I would recommend them/​her to anyone who needs a hair stylist for their wedding in Sonoma County!

I recently got married (August 1^st) and the best experience with Kirsten at Devotion Studio. I found the studio on Unilocal because I needed someone near Sebastopol, and I booked her probably in November, 2014 (almost a year out because I’d heard good hair stylists get booked early). Kirsten unfortunately had a prior engagement for my wedding date but she connected me with one of her stylists, Tamra, who was so sweet and did an incredible job with my hair and makeup. We also had another woman, Bailey, who did a few of my bridesmaids hair/​makeup. My sister (who got both done by Bailey) looked so gorgeous! All of the them but especially Kirsten, who’s studio it is, were so easy to work with, responsive, and clearly just wanted to contribute to me having an amazing wedding. It was also totally reasonably priced. There was even a mix up with my friends paying Bailey by accident because I had already paid for it, so she got double paid, and Kirsten contacted me within a couple days of my wedding to ask me about it because she noticed it. I hadn’t even realized it yet! She immediately sent a check for what we over paid. She’s honest, hardworking and they are great stylists. I would obviously highly recommend Devotion Studio. I will post a couple pictures when I figure out how to do that.

Kristen did my makeup for my wedding and she was great. I do not wear any make-​up in my normal life and was worried that I wouldn’t look like me. The make-​up was very natural looking and I didn’t even «feel» like I was wearing make-​up either. I received lots of compliments and I would use her again and recommend her.

Kristen and her team did an amazing job doing our hair and makeup for my sister’s wedding. Kristen was very easy to work with. She responded to emails quickly and arrived on time with a large team. It was the first time I experienced that all the bridesmaids were actually done on time. I highly recommend working with her!

I’m not really sure how to begin this review because I can’t review the services, only the location. I read all the positive reviews on Unilocal and have trusted Unilocal in the past to be a good resource. My daughter and two of my best friends were looking for a fun spa experience on the morning of my son’s wedding day. I made our appointments a month or so ahead of the day. After searching for the location of Devotion Studio, we finally ended up going down an alley into a less than safe looking neighborhood and to a mobile/​modular home with a pickup truck partially on blocks in the front yard. My daughter and I did venture inside to give them a benefit of a doubt. Inside was no better. I apologized to the ladies for cancelling but told them we were looking for a spa experience and not an in home one. Perhaps it would have been better to have them come to us then we could have evaluated their work and not the atmosphere of their salon. I feel we were mislead by the reviews of an intimate spa location.

5 stars because Kelli is great at make-​up and Kirsten is fabulous with hair. Both ladies are consummate professionals.
I was having a destination wedding in Sebastopol and needed to find a make-​up artist and hair stylist for the day. Mind you, I actually didn’t want to go this route but my best friend from high school who was also the wedding photographer, urged me have my hair and make up done. I think it was going to make her life easier as a photographer and the amount of time she would have to spend on Photoshop! ;P
After having spoken to both Kelli and Kirsten over the phone, I felt comfortable in making appointments for a trial session and the appointment for the wedding day. I used the trial hair and make-​up appointment for the photo shoot the day before the wedding. It was great. I was looking for a natural look and didn’t want to be too «made-​up» and look like a different person on the special day. The next morning I went back at 6 am for the wedding day make-​up and hair. Hair and make-​up were perfect again. I posted up some photos of the photo shoot at the racetrack from the trial and then from the next day which was the day of the wedding for reference.
Just a warning. Book early because Kelli and Kirsten are good at what they do and if my experience and that of fellow Unilocal’ers is anything to go by, there won’t be enough hours in a day to meet all the demand!

Kelli is a pro! Been with her for years for my waxing needs She is super sweet and makes you completely comfortable. She also will do everything she can to accommodate last minute appointments. I also recommend her hour long facial!!!

Kirsten did my hair for my wedding. What was especially nice was that she came to our wedding venue to do my hair, so I didn’t have to plan a separate trip to the salon with everything else we had going on. She had done a trial run a few weeks earlier that I was very happy with but that had fallen out when I got home. I told her about this, and she made the necessary modifications so that my hair stayed put and was beautiful until late that night. She was very good at listening to what my needs were and doing a beautiful job at making my hair perfect for my wedding day.

Kelli is THE BEST to work with! I recently had a destination wedding in Sonoma and was referred to Kelli by my hair stylist. I was nervous going to someone I had never even met before but she was highly recommended.
We did a makeup trial 2 days before my wedding in her studio. She was very welcoming and sweet. She started out with very subtle makeup and we built it up for a slightly more dramatic effect (which is what I wanted). She was also very patient with me as I tried on at least six different lipstick options. I never felt rushed or pressured when I was working with her.
The morning of my wedding Kelli did makeup for me, three bridesmaids, my mother, and sister. She was there and step up early and ready to go when we arrived. She got us out on time and everyone looked fantastic!

Kelli is fabulous!!! She did my makeup for my wedding in June and it was beautiful! It was a humid 98 degrees on our wedding day and my makeup didn’t budge. Kelli is the sweetest gal ever and a pleasure to be around. Her prices are completely reasonable and she spends a lot of time at the makeup trial making sure brides get the look they want. She did all of the makeup for my sister-in-law’s wedding a few years back and did a great job then as well (another very hot day and the makeup stayed put). She is really, really good! I want to have more special events to go to just so I can have Kelli do my makeup again. I absolutely love the work she does. Thanks Kelli!!!

Kirsten has been doing my families hair for over a year now. She is fabulousness with her color techniques and her updo’s hold all night. The price is right. And she is pretty great to talk too. Over this last weekend I needed a trim last min and she fit me in she was also offering a promo $ 100 gift certificate for $ 75 I purchased one and will be going back for some color in a few weeks.

Kelli and Kirsten are TERRIFIC! They are so friendly and pleasant to work with. They did my hair/​makeup for my wedding (on site!) in September — the were prompt and professional, and responsive to requests… my whole wedding party adored them. I give them the highest recommendation for any hair/​makeup needs.

Devotion Studio did hair and makeup for my September 2012 wedding. My trial went really well and I was totally happy with the look (both hair and makeup) we ended up with. The day of the wedding, Kelli did a fantastic job with the makeup. She is really easy-​going and puts you at ease. It was unanimous, everyone was happy with their makeup… However, all three people that got an up-​do were upset that their hair was falling out within twenty minutes. Maybe it’s because the hair team had to rush out and get to another wedding. When I did my trial I went straight to work and it stayed in for over eight hours. So needless to say it was disappointing and I felt bad for my bridesmaids that had spent their hard-​earned cash for a lousy up-​do.

I’m super glad I listened to the reviews of Devotion Studio here on Unilocal,cause Kirsten did a fantastic job cutting off my very long hair into the exact short hairstyle I wanted. I’m having so much fun with it, and my boyfriend loves it too :) I will definitely be a returning customer.

I had gone to Kelli for all my waxing needs for years and after losing track of her I am so excited to see she has her own studio! She is really great at tackling challenging eyebrows and making sure you are completely satisfied.
Kelli also did my makeup when I got married in 2006. I was incredibly fussy and she spent hours working on my trial to make sure it was perfect. She used Bare Minerals and I was concerned it wouldn’t last all day. Not only did it last for the entire wedding my face looked flawless in every photo! Also, I meant to buy the lipstick she was using before the wedding and, being a busy and absent-​minded bride, I totally spaced it. Kelli graciously gave me her tube of lipstick for touch-​ups just in case I needed it. She really went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and looking my best for the big day.
I am very happy I found Kelli again! Go visit her at Devotion Studio and you will not be disappointed!
