Our family has owned property in the Guerneville area for over 80 years. Maintaining a 2^nd property can be challenging so we asked Yard Pro, Inc. (who maintains our land and fruit trees) for recommendations. Sandborn Tree Service was the only company they recommended.
From the very first interaction with the office (Linda, Diane & Mariah) to meeting Ernie, who provided a very detailed, itemized proposal within 24 hours, to the crew (Daniel, Luis, Juan and Ignacio) who treated our property like their own — everyone was an absolute pleasure.
The itemized costs were reasonable considering the size and tree variety (Redwood, Oak, Sycamore & Ash) and Sandborn did exactly what we asked; remove potential hazards and evaluate all of the trees.
We spent a few days with Daniel and the crew. They were fantastic! They arrived exactly on time every day, reviewed daily progress and the next day’s focus. They were very respectful of us, our property, the neighbors and our requests and questions — they even saved a section of a tree trunk for a future DIY project (thanks guys! We’ll send you a picture of the bench and sign when complete!).
Sandborn’s equipment (chippers, lifts, chainsaws, stump grinder) and trucks are well maintained and it was a wonderful to have such an experienced team restore safety and beauty to our home and property. We are looking forward to sleeping more soundly during winter storms and enjoying a sunny yard this summer. We would recommend Sandborn Tree Service to anyone!

Sandborn Tree Service has very professional, respectful, hard working and careful employees who did an excellent job in removing a giant Valley Oak branch that was leaning on my roof. Chip Sandborn even came by the day of the removal to check on the event. They were all very careful of my property and cleaned up all of the debris.

When we bought a home in Sonoma County our property had a few whacked eucalyptus giants. One stood over a live fireplace chimney (go figure)!
Plus the surrounding land of our new home had mature Italian evergreens, a messy young, Liquid Amber tree and youthful willow. Chip Sandborn, not only gained our trust on the first free visit, but he volunteered details about neighbors’ trees, which leaned over our fence and backyard.
We hired Sandborn Tree Service after we obtained our city tree removal permits. The big job was to take down one hazardous eucalyptus tree, which hung over the sidewalk and a street parking space.
The day Sandborn brought his crew to our place, it was storming intensely. High winds and wild spats of rain pelted us.
I had no idea how massive and heavy the limbs of that Blue Gum Eucalyputus tree were, but Sandborn crew not only took it down safely, they cleaned up 100% of the mess. The removal of that tree shook our home like small earthquakes.
I’m still grateful that we choose Sandborn Tree Service, especially given the terrible weather and size of the danger.

Sandborn Tree Service is a reliable, expert service. They know what they’re doing, and they have all the right equipment to trim, cut down, and remove debris. It’s a well established business with professional workers. Today they trimmed several fruit trees on our property and removed a dead tan oak that fell in the recent windstorm. I will use them again and again.
