History

Established in 2011.

When the well respected Venerable Classics restoration studio closed due to the owner’s retirement, their lead restorer, Martin Scherer decided to continue the work he loves and established his own studio, Tesserak Restoration Studio.

Martin Scherer, the owner of Tesserak Studios has been a lead restorer at Venerable Classics for the past five years.

I intend to continue the art of high quality restoration that earned Venerable Classics its excellent reputation.

Meet the Business Owner

Martin S.

Business Owner

I’ve been a professional artist for over 45 years, working in most traditional media in painting and sculpture. I’ve also worked extensively in digital media as well. I’m also a photographer and pro songwriter and musician with many years experience.

I’ve been doing restoration work since 2007. I did my apprenticeship at the well respected Venerable Classics under Janet Connolly. When Janet decided to retire, I chose to continue with the restoration work, which I love, and open my own studio.

I have repaired over 1000 pieces of fine ceramics. I’ve done work for museums and high end art galleries and auction houses from all over the country. I take pride in being one of the best restoration studios in the United States.
