Chicanes Restaurant & Bar

We celebrated my wife’s birthday and our reservation was made in person 4 days in advance. When we arrived there wasn’t any evidence of the reservations for Saturday 2:00 PM. Our waitress was so kind to us that she offered Crème Bruelle with a candle set in whip cream and the words Happy Birthday written with raspberry sauce. We were so great full for her help in making this a memorable occasion.

The three of us who had dinner at Chicanes are foodies. Our server, Travis was excellent, very attentive and informative. We started with a garlicky tasty spinach artichoke dip, better than most I have tried. Soup of the day was a hearty carrot ginger, very different and savory. I had the bourbon pecan sauced chicken and hubby had a pasta with seafood which he loves. Our friend had the pork chop special which was very well presented. Dessert was coffee and key lime pie, very tart but good. Great ambiance. Located within the Inn of the Lakes I was thrilled to see BloodHorse on the hotel lobby coffee tables. This is a top drawer hotel and food service. We will dine there again. It’s a keeper for those who love good food.

Met an old friend from high-​school days at Chicanes. We had a long, leisurely lunch in their gorgeous courtyard setting. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. Lovely experience!

The best French Onion Soup I’ve ever tasted. And we’ve been searching for the perfect French Onion Soup all over the US for many years. If you’re ever gone on a French Onion Soup hunt this is the place!!! Granted a large bowl is $ 8 but it’s worth it. We usually go for lunch and just get the soup. Yum. All of the food is awesome however it’s a bit pricey. The lunch specials make it a bit more economical for those of us who eat out frequently.

Atmosphere was great. Beautiful view. Delicious specials served with complimentary wine. Wait staff was right on target. Truly a beautiful Valentines experience.

First time we went it was awful all the way around. Gave it a second chance a year later and everything was top notch. Glad we gave it a second chance.

Chicane was an excellent experience! The place was jam packed. Always a good sign. The service was very quick and courteous! The sizzling mussels as well as the sizzling Delmonico were out of this world!

Wonderful food and terrific service. We are early, about 4 PM. Had earlybird dinner specials which included a very good glass of wine. Wonderful view of the lake, excellent freshly prepared food.

What a surprise! We were in Sebring for a couple hours for an event and stumbled upon this great little gem. We ordered the steak roll ups for an appetizer and it only came with 3, so we had to cut them up so everyone could get a taste. We ordered the chicken fettuccini Alfredo and added broccoli but was only given one piece of broccoli (and paid extra). Besides those two dishes being somewhat of a disappointment, the Almond Chicken Salad and Bourbon chicken were both delicious and satisfying. The restaurant and hotel is beautiful with beautiful views!

I’ve been here many times with family while visiting my grandparents. It is our favorite restaurant in Sebring and we love the bistro menu! A glass of wine, bread and dinner for a great price. I enjoy sitting at a booth next to the water when we have a small party, and we’ve used the larger party rooms a few times for birthday dinners.

There are many who say that Chicanes is the finest restaurant in the Sebring area! I’ve been to most every place in the area and I would tend to agree.
The ATMOSPHERE here is quite simply gorgeous. If you don’t eat outside, and that’s an option, make sure to save some extra time to step outside. That’s exactly what my party of four did after a late lunch. We all agreed it was spectacular. On a beautiful Florida day it doesn’t get much better. I noticed some window seats that looked amazing. If you can, try to snag one of those.
Our SERVICE was just a little off this visit but nowhere near enough to complain about. Our server was personable but appeared to be a little over extended.
I wasn’t in the mood for a massive lunch. Several folks had told me about the Rollover appetizer so I had to get it. It was filet mignon rolled around pepperjack cheese wrapped with cherrywood smoked bacon & served with a house made marinade for dipping ($ 15). I paired that with a half order Caesar salad.
Those rollovers were damn good! They were cooked to my specifications, juicy, and the flavor profile was off the charts. They were also plated beautifully. Combined with my very fresh tasting Caesar salad I had an excellent lunch. I judged my FOOD to be very very good.
If you are contemplating visiting, make sure to pick a beautiful Florida day so you can combine an excellent meal with the stunning atmosphere.

Excellent service! Thank you Brittney! The food was wonderful! Rollovers for apps, Cowboy steak, scallop grits and pasta Alfredo with shrimp for out little guy made the choice to come here soon worth it.

This place has really gone downhill. Their idea seems to be no one will notice all the nickel and dime reductions but they add up.
I had swordfish that was way over done. The chef’s idea seems to be it’s not done until it is dry. My wife wisely went with shrimp which was good.
Service was very good but be prepared to put up with very boisterous neighbors.

Definitely the fanciest dinner that I had during my five weeks in Sebring, Chicanes is the place to go for date night. Delightful location with subdued lighting, excellent decorating and a comfy booth that was almost quiet enough to drown out the «Happy Birthday» singers at other tables.
I had the French Onion Soup to start, which was excellent except for the gigantic tower of fried onion strings on top. After sliding that to the side, the soup was rich and the cheese was perfectly melted on top. Very nice.
For main, the salmon was great. Not the thickest filet, but it was tasty and well cooked. Mashed potatoes with onions and the steamed string beans were very good.
Nice looking wine list but the beer list was dismal. Oh, well.
A good meal, not terribly expensive, very fancy.

Stopped for some munchies & drinks! What a beautiful place. It’s located in a hotel on the water. We had apps, the Rollovers, bite size filet mignon stuffed w pepper jack cheese wrapped in applewood bacon w a trio of dipping sauces & the Crab Ovals w Key Lime mustard & remoulade sauce. Delish! Our server, Joann, was new, but a total pro! We really enjoyed…& needed this mini escape! Def going back to check out more!

I stopped in for lunch at Chicanes while on a day trip to Sebring. One thing worth knowing about this place: it is fairly upscale. Nothing too fancy… but don’t roll in with your pajama pants on!
The setting at Chicanes is beautiful. Lake Sebring is visible from the dining area, and some booths are right on the water. Everything looked very clean and crisp. The service was excellent; we were seated right away and the waitress actually listened when I ordered «with lemon» for my iced tea. She even brought extras in a small dish! That’s service.
Let’s talk about the food. While it was all mostly good, I do have some minor complaints. The appetizer «roll ups» we’re delectable morsels of filet mignon, but sadly the order was so sparse! We received three bites. These were not worth the price we paid!
I ordered the crab cake salad for my meal and while the salad was fresh and plentiful, the crab cake was too wet and quite bland! After dousing it with some salad dressing, it was good enough to eat.
While both food items were enjoyable, both left something to be desired. However, because of the excellent service and fantastic setting, I would be willing to try this place again in the future!

My husband and I are passing through this area, and made the right decision by stopping here. We wanted to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful patios, with exceptional views, but it was too hot. This restaurant has beautiful ambience. Excellent service. Superb views. Delicious breakfast, and great prices. They do not have «Brunch», on Sunday, and no Bloody Mary’s, or cocktails on Sunday, until after 1pm. Their «Cheese Omelette», is loaded with cheese. We highly recommend this place. Casual dress.

Good food, good service, nice looking and mid priced. The bartender was great but the liquor selection is just ok.

Yummy I wish we had a place like this in Estero! It would be great! The food and staff are wonderful. I need to amend this the lunch and dinner staff and most of the breakfast staff were wonderful except «Dennis».

What a lovely surprise to be found at Chicanes. I’ll keep this short as I’m still a bit road weary from the trip back to Miami. The meal was fantastic:
— The French Onion Soup was truly some of if not the best I’ve ever had.
— The Pork Schnitzel was buttery and tender.
— The martinis were big enough to soak in.
— Sitting outside by the pool made for a near Tuscan experience.
That last bullet above is a cloaked piece of advice. Inside, the crowd was well-​healed and older. Think golfing retirees talking about… golf. Outside the vibe was relaxed, breezy and lovely. Knowing your age and preference choose accordingly.
