Sedona Real Inn

My housemate and I ended up staying here for one night after a side excursion to Sedona during our return trip from Phoenix. Calling at the last possible minute – and traveling with a very large dog – we were able to get a reservation for a room with both a queen bed and a sleeper sofa.
The grounds were lovely and included a small, enclosed park for people to walk and care for their dogs, including a place for dogs to get water. The room was exceptionally quiet and comfortable, offering some nice views of the surrounding area. The a/​c kept us cool even though the town was hitting 110 °F while we were there. We were also pleased by how welcome the staff made us and the doggy feel during our trip, giving him both a portable and foldable water bowl as well as several doggy biscuits and a leash. (Dylan Dog gives the place two paws up.) The complimentary breakfast, while fairly simple, was still much better than what I have been offered at many more expensive hotels. I can find absolutely no fault with the hotel, grounds, staff, or any of the extra amenities they offer. From me, that’s about as high a compliment as any place can receive.
I would love to go back for a longer visit.

This place is awesome! Room amenities are very well thought out. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast also is included. Pet friendly with a dog park. Super friendly & courteous staff. I accidentally left a pair of earrings in my room, they are mailing them back to me. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for a great stay!

This place was quite nice, the front desk staff were very friendly, and the bed was very comfortable. However, for the high price paid I was surprised to realize I could hear the room next to me, the shower of the people above me, people walking up and down the staircase outside my room, and vehicles in the parking lot. If you want a well located hotel, this is the place. But if you want a solid night’s sleep without the use of sleep aids, I would advise staying elsewhere.

Not as nice as I was expecting for the price. Everything was acceptable and the mattresses were fine. I was disappointed that nothing was quite as good as I expected. The televisions were cheap (but each had a DVD player). The coffee in the room and at breakfast was watery.

This was a 5 star review until one desk worker ruined it. This place is clean, pretty, well located and (mostly) has a great staff. We enjoyed our stay here up until check out time when our experience was ruined because of the guy behind the desk. He refused to give us a receipt! He told us that because we booked through a travel website and not them we would have to get the receipt from the website. I have been using said travel site for years and never had this problem! What hotel refuses to give a receipt!!! My husband and I are moving cross country on military orders and have to have the receipt in order to get reimbursed (which I informed the desk worker). So now we have to jump through hoops just to track down a receipt from someone who is willing to help us. If you are traveling for leisure you’ll probably be fine to stay here, but others beware.

First of all, I did not stay in this hotel, my review is just for their refund process.
I booked my room for 1 night last November, but was involved in a car accident at UT one day before. I called the travel agent travelocity, was told it was already passed the cancellation deadline, the travelocity agent kindly left a voicemail to the hotel manager for me. The manager called me back, and told me he would try his best to sell my room, and refund me if he could, which, I totally understood. A couple of days later, I got full refund from travelocity. I will definitely stay in this hotel if I visit Sedona next time.

Is in a great location. We left a cellphone behind and 40min after leaving received a phone call. They over nighted it to us, I wasn’t expecting them to do that but that’s awesome. Will definitely return AND they offer lifetime 15% off when you book with them! That’s fantastic! Free Breakfast was actually pretty darn good! Nothing like being greeted «top of the morning to ya» when waking up in the morning to get their breakfast.

Room was clean; staff was friendly; breakfast was delicious; dog friendly went to the next level with an awesome family dog park and travel bowl with treats on check-​in.

We stayed here with my wife for the weekend. We liked the room and the inn has a cozy and quiet ambiance. It is a little out of the way which we didn’t mind, since we came to Sedona for mountain biking and we were driving to trailheads anyway. Complimentary breakfast was edible, although nothing special. Unfortunately, what didn’t click at all was the staff. Let me bring up three events:
1. When I was emailing the inn, asking about amenities — I noted I couldn’t figure out from descriptions and photos if all rooms come with bathrooms — I received a rather passive-​aggressive sounding response: (direct quote) «Yes, Seriously? ALL rooms come with Bathrooms.» I’ve seen many surprises in my travels, hence I’d rather check on even the most obvious things. Am I not allowed to ask for clarifications?
2. We arrived a little early and the gentleman at the front desk told us we would have to wait to check in (which we didn’t have a problem with at all, since we were planning to go for a ride right away anyway) or… he offered us a dirty room. I suppose he was going for a joke, but perhaps the delivery or me being tired after traveling made it sound rather awkward and unfriendly.
3. On the last day, we had a tricky schedule: check out was at 11 AM, our flight from Phoenix was at 9:30 PM. We wanted to squeeze in another ride before leaving, but we were hoping we could find a way to clean up before the flight. I asked the front desk if there was a possibility we could come back in the afternoon to take a shower. I was told that I would have to pay half-​day rate for the room, i.e. $ 60. When I noted it’s a lot of money for a shower, the gentleman agreed and promised to speak with his supervisor. The supervisor (gentleman from #2 above) gave us the exact same option. He even asked me to «understand his position» as he «wouldn’t be able to resell the room». This was on a Monday and the parking lot was half empty. I might be wrong but I seriously doubt our room was to be resold on the same day. And the only other option we were given was «late» checkout at 12 PM. This unfortunately didn’t make any sense because we wouldn’t be able to do any significant riding in such short timeframe. My question for a discount was simply ignored. So we paid $ 60 to take a shower, as we didn’t want to fly back home dirty and sweaty.
Overall, interactions with the staff felt awkward, as if we were unwelcome. Event #3 was particularly painful, because we clearly saw no creative effort from the staff… they just repeated what was in the rulebook and focused on getting our money.
All in all — this is a nice looking and quiet place but we were unlucky with the staff. Next time we’re in Sedona, we will probably look for a smaller place to stay.

Ideal if you are traveling with your furry friend. Gifts for the pup at check in, very large fenced in grassy area to walk the dog, bbq grill, picnic tables. Our ground floor suite was clean, huge and comfortable. Great location… just on the edge of town coming in from Phoenix. Close to trail heads. Great restaurants nearby. Concierge and staff courteous and helpful. Hot breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Included tasty breakfast. Friendly staff. Stayed 2 nights and would return. Close to most trails and shopping. Concierge service. Most importantly, very clean. Drawback: no safe in room.

Read the reviews on this place and decided to take a risk on this one. I know a reviewer said it was far from the main drag, but I like to avoid congestion at all cost as I like to find parking and not walk a mile to my room if I decide to go out for dinner and come back after 9pm. I truly think this is the best value in town, and for the following reasons. 1. Can you say soft water??? I believe these guys may have the only soft water system in the area. Coming from Cali, the dry air works wonders on my skin (not positive), so it’s great to have soft water. 2. The showers are solid granite with glass sliding doors. The maids clean this room so well each day, one one of the days, I was reaching for some liquid soap in the shower that I brought and jammed my finger into the glass shower as it was so clean, I didn’t even notice it… OUCH!!! Fire Places in the room, DVD players in the rooms for each tv, immediate hot water (no warm up process), and full breakfast included. I mean eggs, sausage, a waffle maker, etc… Can’t believe they do this for the price of the room. Do these guys make money???
But lastly, The Staff are amazing at this place. Very warm and they make you feel like family. Part of their own.
If you like quiet, great service, but most importantly most bang for your buck, this is the place… well it was for me.

This place was fantastic for the basic room I paid for. I live on a budget and this was one of the best places I have stayed at for what I paid. Continental breakfast was much more with egg choices, oatmeal, waffles, cereal, bagels, fruit (fresh) and more. The microwave and fridge were great and it was not with the toilet; near the sink but I have no concerns with the location. They have a great clock that has different phone charger options and a couple of USB outlets, it came in handy. The walls are thin — thankfully we did not have kids next to us. The strong jets were needed after a four hour hike but the hot tub was nice and hot.

Very EXCELLENT experience with Sedona Real! Decided to have a nice weekend with the Mrs this weekend. Took a chance on this hotel and I’m very happy that I did.
Check in was very easy and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable on local restaurants and points of interest in the area. The room was immaculate. Looked like a small apartment. One tv above the fireplace with a nice couch. Another tv in front of the bed so you can catch a program while in comfort. Very nice wet bar with sink and mini fridge. The shower and bathroom were very well kept and spacious. All in all, this was an awesome place to stay in sedona.
Very great experience with Sedona Real and I for sure will be returning. Awesome views too!!! Go check them out!!!

Excellent experience, clean and quite.
The pool and hot tub were a pleasant surprise. First hot that didn’t smell like chlorine. It was so clean you can see the bottom clearly.

This hotel was okay, nothing fancy, nothing bad, something basic and priced right for what’s it’s worth. I was in town for the day and stayed here one night.
Ken who checked me in was very nice, gave me information on the town, where to get dinner and walked outside to show me where the building was that I’d be staying in.
Hotel is clean, kind of needs a remodel, the shower was a little odd, I’m thinking I was maybe in a handicapped room as there was a bench in the shower stall.
It was one of the cheaper hotels in the area in the category above the motels, had a comfy bed, a desk, coffee in the room, a TV and a fitness center. They also include free breakfast. I would say it’s a 3 star but I’m going to give it 4 stars as I left my jacket in their fitness room, they found it and are in the process of mailing it back to me which shows they have great customer service!

This is actually a nice looking place with a small river that drowns out some noise. However I picked a bad day to stay here, because a bunch of noisy ATVers just landed here shouting to each other all night (I’m told there are about 40 of them spread out in the compound). Honestly couldn’t they be considerate to other guests and tell them to keep the noise down? Guess I’m not getting any sleep tonight. I should have stayed at the cheap crappy motel from last week.
The good thing is the free wifi works, that’s how I’m typing this review.

Was not a fan of this hotel. We stay in Sedona a lot and have frequented several local hotels and B&B’s. Compared to others it did not live up to the price. We will not be staying here again.
If you are a mountain biker check out other hotels. Hauling bikes up and down stairs sucks.

This place is a bargain considering we came during holiday season and pretty much every single hotel was booked to the max. The room we booked is suite style with two full size beds and one pull out. The setup is a little strange with the sink of the bathroom separated and located at the entrance. The toilet and shower are in a separate room across from the sinks.
Pros:
— Free WiFi throughout the entire property
— Small Fitness Facility — This closes at 10pm, but technically you have access ²⁴⁄₇ and can workout if you’re quiet.
— Free Hot Chocolate and Tea in the Lobby
— DVD rentals — the room comes with a DVD player. You can rent a movie and get hot chocolate and microwave popcorn all for only $ 2.19!
— Hairdryer
— Lots of towels and pillows
— Decent Continental Breakfast — They serve your typical eggs, sausages, make your own waffles, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, toast, coffee, juice, etc. No bacon though.
— Good location to get to most places in Sedona (with a car of course)
— Knowledgeable and helpful concierge
Cons:
— They only gave us 1 bar of soup for 5 people
— Breakfast gets really crowded and it’s hard to find tables
— Pull out bed is uncomfortable, but they usually are
— Somewhat strange setup of rooms
Overall, very clean and quaint. I really liked the cozy inn feel to it.

Very nice place to stay if you have a pet. We got an online deal for $ 159 a night for the suite. It was nice and large with a tile floor for our pet. Lots of pets there. We were in Sedona Nov 30^th and the weather was perfect for hiking. There are a lot of the hiking trails only a couple mile drive from this hotel. We hiked Devils Bridge, great first hike and awesome views.
The free breakfast was typical and OK but the room was always packed and we did a lot of standing and waiting. The next day we just went out to eat. But that was the only lil bump in the road.
Oh and the room fire place was on all the time. Nice.
