Mike, my computer guy next door, is the best in the business. His knowledge, expertise and patience is exemplary. Mike and Jill are always there to provide immediate assistance, and has helped me throughout all my moments of crisis. The Computer Guy Next Door is highly recommended!

I will not use another computer. only mike he’s the man. gave me a great price on a new system. even price club couldn’t even match. came install everything was amazing.

Each time someone in my family cracks the screen on their phone, I run to Mike and Jill at The Computer Guy Next Door. We followed him from his Centereach location. Now he’s got a really cool storefront in Selden. I went there to have him fix my laptop, but walked out with a really great pre-​owned one instead! If you’re a bird lover, go check him out.

What a great company! If you’re ever in computer trouble, Mike will make it right.

So I’m an idiot who took my beloved Alienware for granted and got a little too wine happy one night. I was distraught when she wouldn’t start up right away (for those reading DON’T TRY TO START UP YOUR COMPUTER RIGHT AFTER A SPILL) When it did start up the screen was all sorts of messed up. I called Best Buy (Geeksquad), Staples and a handful of other recommendations from friends. Most of them wouldn’t even touch a spill repair, one of them actually told me I should just cut my losses and buy a new computer (It’s a $ 2000 computer, I’m not going to just throw it out and get a new one without trying something first). When I called the computer guy, however, Jill answered the phone and was understanding and not pushy or judgy at all about the nature of the spill (dumbass with a wine glass). She answered every question I had, stupid or not and was very pleasant.
I dropped it off, Mike talked to me about what happened and what he would do to get it fixed. The next day they called with an update. It wasn’t a big update, just that they were waiting for a price on my screen, but an update nevertheless. They knew I was anxious. The day after Mike texted me with the price of the repair, how she looked on the inside and about how long it would take. He also assured me that he treats every computer like his own. I got periodic updates over the time they had my computer.
I picked up my laptop on time and paid exactly what they originally said it would cost. It works great and looks good as new! Very pleasant people would definitely recommend.

My laptop had a virus on it, and I brought it to Computer Guy. They were closed, but still accommodated me and tried to help. The owner (Mike) was so helpful, and I really felt he gave me honest advice, aside from helping me remove the virus. I am so glad I didn’t go to Best Buy! I would have waited an hour on line, and probably I would have had to leave my laptop overnight, aside from having paid a hefty price. I would highly recommend this place to everyone I know, and this is my new go-​to computer place if anything should go wrong. Two thumbs up!

My computer was running slow so I brought it for a tune up. It turns out it had a virus on it that took a lot of effort to remove. It ended up taking them longer than expected to do the work because of this but they did a good job at a fair price and everyone I interacted with was pleasant and helpful.

Runs like Greased Lightning!
When my office computer became unbearably slow I did everything I could to exorcise the demons slowing things down. I ran Malwarebytes (which I pay for), cleaned temporary filed and folders, defragged, ran ADWCleaner. But still it lagged.
Then I talked with Mike about buying a new or used computer and he suggested I let him tune up my 5 year old computer – «that’s not old for computers these days.» I was skeptical, but let him have a go at it. The results were as promised. It is as fast as my new home computer and at a fraction the cost.
Mike is a great guy and really knows his stuff. He and Jill are running a terrific business and I highly recommend the Computer Guy Next Door for any computer or electronics problems.

Great people, my son’s mack was not working was getting ready to buy him a new one, I thought it would never work again he had spill a can of soda all over it. Hi my name is Bill Morgan and although I don’t write many reviews I feel I can help all computer users by writing this one. I recently managed to crack the screen of one of my laptop computers. It was my own fault, and I was angry with myself, so I conducted a search online to find out how much this mistake was going to cost me. The prices were all over the place, in the form of e-​mail responses. Everyone was anxious to do business with me. However only one person returned my phone call: «the computer guy next door».
An unusual occurrence actually having to speak to another human being, calling me back asking me how he can help. I explained my situation because of the distance involved I volunteered to bring my laptop to him. At this stage of the game I hadn’t even asked what the price was, I was so overtaken by the opportunity to speak to another human being. Mike made it sound like That my problem a common one, and was easily repaired.
When I went to his shop it was easy to see how busy he was, but that didn’t stop him of explaining to me exactly what it would take to repair my machine and exactly how much it would cost and when I could pick up.
I received my machine back in like new condition Mike had discovered some low-​lying viruses that were slowing my machine down, that I wasn’t even aware of. I took it for granted that the machine was getting slower because it was getting older. I was completely wrong about that. My old laptop runs like new again.
Mike took the time to explain to me some of the little things that I was doing wrong, that were causing my machine to get infected. Not infected enough to make it interoperable, just to slow it down. He repaired by broken screen cleanup whatever viruses I had, and when all was said and done it was less money than everybody else who would have just replaced the screen.
I highly recommend the Computer Guy Next Door. I only wish is that his shop was closer to my location, however he will always get all of my business.

MIke was was great. open on Sundays! and extremely reasonably priced. he even replaced my button and a stripped screw for free! I’d say he is better than fair! if I need a computer or apple device fixed I’m going back to Mike.

About a year ago I needed a computer fix quickly and I did not have the patience to deal with the big outfits. So I went to Mike (computer guy next store) and i have been using him since for a variety of computer problems. He’s prompt, personable and really seems to know what he’s talking about. His pricing seems very fair as well. He’s kept my old lap top running longer than it figured too but I imagine I’ll get a new or refurbished one from him when I’m ready because I know he’ll provide the back up when i need it.

Mike has upgraded several laptops and a desktop for me and they are like new now. His prices are excellent and the service superior. He has also replaced iPad and iPhone screens for several friends of mine and they all raved about the work he did. The guy does it all and does it right.
