The Lavender Connection is a beautiful, locally owned lavender farm specializing in U-​Cut fresh lavender, essential oil, and boutique handmade lavender products.

The Olson Family welcomes you to relax and spend a summer day with us! Our unique farm has over 20 varieties of lavender available for U-​Cut — more than any other farm in the region — from light pink to dark purple. We offer complimentary admission, all summer long, even during the Lavender Festival.

Come stroll the fields, and take advantage of amazing photo ops of our multi-​colored lavender field and historic barn. Bring a picnic, relax in our comfortable chairs, and stay for the entire afternoon! Watch as we distill lavender essential oil, and learn about the different uses and kinds of lavender we grow. Visit our perfumery, where you can invent your own scent, pairing essential oils and fragrances with our lavender as a base. We encourage anyone with a military ID (including retired personnel) to visit and cut a free bouquet of lavender. Pets are welcome — as long as they are leashed. Visit our quaint store located in the historic barn; our boutique products are handmade with lavender essential oil distilled from our own plants. We are open to the public July 4 through Labor Day.

We invite you to stop by for a quick visit on your way to the Dungeness Spit, Port Angeles or to hike the Olympics. We’d love to have you stop by!

History

Established in 2004.

Owners Rick and Susan Olson purchased the CreekSide Lavender Farm in 2004, after falling in love with the lavender fields of Sequim on a day trip the summer before. The Olson Family has been welcoming guests to the farm every summer since.

My husband, son and I visited this cute place over a year and some months ago… from Hawaii! We actually came to Sequim to visit the Olympic game farm drive thru zoo. But I’ve also heard that Sequim is known for yearly lavender festival. So on that note I decided to look up some lavender farms. Being that were from Maui, Hawaii we didn’t know where to go, so we trusted good olé’ Unilocal to take us to the perfect farm.
It took us to the Lavender connection. And I’m so happy we were able to visit only because It was later in the day and I was hoping they were still open… yes luckily the owner himself took us in. I was in complete awe’…he showed us how he distills the oils, giving us a brief history of the land and of all the different species of lavender…
My smile was from cheek to cheek. It felt so spiritual to pick my own buds and be able to take home, I didn’t want to leave this quaint place… I got to the gift shop and oh man, I couldn’t hold back I bought big bags of dried lavender, some oils (as I’m a massage therapist) and some whipped butter, which I’m completely in love with… to this day a year later the smells of my dried lavender brings me back to this special day. I suggest you give yourself hours to just lounge around and enjoy the moment. My only wish is that I could’ve stayed longer! You’ll be glad you stopped by at the Lavender connection!

This was the second lavender farm we visited, and we were unsure there would be any lavender left, as it was late August and the lavender had mostly been harvested. As we pulled up to the farm, one of the owners greeted us and asked if we would be picking any lavender, or simply viewing. We opted to smell the lavender, since I was thrilled it was even an option. I enjoyed standing close and looking down on the bees busy at work.
My favorite type of lavender is now Seal lavender, by the way.

2nd year on the row to visit this farm. You can see and smell lavendar distillery here. They have the most varieties of lavenders. This year the owner made new flavor essential oils. Highly recommended!

We visited with our toddler and the owners were so nice. There were many different varieties of lavender as well as a variety of great products in the little shop. The prices were fantastic. I only wish I’d thought to purchase more while I was there. At least they have an online shop.
Will definitely return if in the area. It’s near the Olympic Game Farm.

Friendly staff & they carry lots of variety of lavender plants for sale. I also like that they labeled all their lavender bushes in the field. It’s not yet a big farm, but there are new starts of lavender fields in the process. They are one of the few that carries Seal & Thumbelina varieties, which were not found in other farms in Sequim.

This is one of my favorite lavender farms to visit during the Lavender Festival. It is a free lavender farm, and it stands out because I get the best pictures at this lavender farm. I visited this farm before I had kids. And then there were a couple of years that I did not really go to lavender farms. And then in July 2013 and 2014, I am starting a tradition of getting pictures of my kids at this beautiful lavender farm. I enjoy the products such as lavender soaps and the serendipidity spritz. It is actually the one farm during the Lavender Festival that I normally cut lavender at. I am looking forward to many more years of carrying on this tradition with my children.

As we were about to head out of town we wanted to find a Lavender place and were lucky enough for it to be this one! It’s a beautiful setting, with barn, woods, fields around. Not too small but not big-​business feeling. Heavenly.
And they were so nice! We came in with our 5 (!) small kids and they were nothing but gracious, welcoming hosts. They took our picture, spent time talking and teaching us things, were good to our kids.
The Lavender smell is, of course, to die for (we came at the right time of year) but also there is an adorable little gift shop in a rustic barn with really cool stuff made from lavender — we got some lotion and I kid you not, it’s the most potent, incredibly good smelling lotion I’ve ever smelled. not to be missed!!! THANK YOU CreekSide Lavender Farm! :)

This was my favorite farm that we visited. They had so many different varieties of lavender to cut that I felt I really got my five dollars worth of lavender. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the barn was very quaint. The parking was good and clearly marked. I bought some lavender lotion that wasn’t greasy and had a nice scent to it. It was a big glass bottle for $ 8 which I felt was a good price for the amount and packaging that it was in. I will definitely go here on my next visit to Sequim.

I came here for my birthday a few years ago, as a stop on my way to the Coast. I had heard about all the farms, and since there were so many we just drove around until we found this place, and it was amazing. I cannot wait to go back! The owners were fantastic and the variety of Lavender is superior to any other local farm!

Quite honestly, before going to Lavender Connection, I thought that there were only four varieties of lavender (and this was after Nelson’s Duck Pond; before then, I thought there were only two: x). Lavender Connection has over 20 varieties of lavender in their field… which you can actually pick from for your $ 5 U-​Pick bundle. (Honestly, some of them looked the same to me, but I’ll trust the experts.)
There was also a bench set out in the middle of the lavender rows so you can take a pic in the midst of all that purple. :D
They had a tent out back where they were distilling lavender oil… and somebody came out to tell us about the process (which takes all of 3 hours for what seems like small amounts to me; that’s a lot of love, yo — think about that next time you get lavender ice cream from Molly Moon’s).
They had a cute store where they sold some lavender scents, salts, aprons (I wish I bought one, because they were just adorbs!), pet scarves. They also had an area where you can mix and match some ingredients to make your own lavender-​based scents.

Wonderful, wonderful farm (CreekSide Lavender Farm)…be sure to visit during the annual lavender festival in Sequim. If you can’t make it up, there is always their online store:
. Their items are lovingly handmade by family and friends with ingredients right off the farm. These people just have a nice way about how they do things. I have never, ever been disappointed.

The owner provide a lot of information on which kind of lavender is good for cooking, boutique, or crafting! So we know which kind to pick since I do not do craft but would like to use it to cook. After finishing picking, the owner wrapped up the lavender I picked in a pretty purple craft paper and nice purple ribbon and put it in a cute purple bag. This makes the lavender picking experience exceptional to me since when I was in the other farm, they did not do the free wrapping service and did not explain which plant is good for cooking. Plus, there was no fee charged for entering the farm. I love this place and will go again next year!!!
