To go out of your way to come here? I don’t know about that but… The service is great and the staff is very friendly. If you live around the area the place more than serves its purpose. Steaks are above average. Never had an issue with the quality of food they serve. Something must be done about the fries though, until then I will not give the place a higher rating. It’s almost impossible to get good fries around here. Please get rid of the frozen fries.

Was in the area and looking for a good lunch. Pulled up Unilocal and reviews looked good. Ordered the cheese steak with fried onions and hot peppers… Also ordered a side of fries but didn’t realize how big the cheesesteak was. Couldn’t finish all the fries but that’s ok because the cheesesteak was delicious!!! Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area… Place was clean, waitress was polite and fast in getting the order in and drinks. 5 stars!

I will flat out tell you the pizza here is good. Just don’t order a salad or wings as they are marginal and very over priced. A small salad and 10 wings will set you back $ 16; way too much for this place. Again, their pizza is good so only ordrr that and you will get a great deal.

I have only been here with breakast with my parents when I am back in town. This place reminds me of the good old boys club around breakfast time. Every in there knows each other. Breakfast is very good and on point. I enjoy my time when we go there.

Chicken Kenyon sandwich is a hidden gem for sure. One of the best sandwiches in the area! Not to mention their portions are WELLLLLL worth the money!

I love around the corner from steak out. I moved into my house in July and have ordered here a lot. I’m born and raised in philly and there were 5 places max id ever eat a cheese steak from. Gave this place a shot, and no doubt best cheese steak I’ve ever had in jersey.

I had been told by a couple friends this place is great. Well I went there yesterday for lunch with a friend. The cheesesteak had almost no cheese on it, plus I couldn’t taste a hint of salt and pepper. After getting our sandwiches, we were told to grab our chips. My friend got fries, which were limp and soggy. The most stand out thing was watching, I assume, was the manager talking to a guy about the help wanted sign. I felt horrible for that guy trying to get a job, the manager loudly asked several times if he was on drugs. If he didn’t want the guy to work there, I’m sure he could’ve been nicer. I won’t return and will tell everyone how that guy treats people.

I and my partner travel a little over 100 miles, nearly two hours, from Montclair, NJ for one of the best cheese steaks this Delaware Valley ex-pat can find in Jersey. When Big John’s in Cherry Hill(then briefly Berlin) closed I needed a South Jersey staple for cheese steaks. Steak Out bested the old Big John’s. Well worth the trip. If coming for a cheese steak; come prepared to eat a hearty meal even with the half-steak of 10 inches. The piling of meat could feed two people. A must-stop for cheese steak lovers.

I really love the cheesesteaks here although there are plenty of other menu items to choose from. You can get a cheesesteak just about anyway you can think of. My favorite is the philly. It has peppers, mushrooms, and onions. I tell myself the veggies off set the badness I am about to indulge in. You can take out or eat in. We often come on lunch and if you call ahead they’ll have it all set up for you. Service is friendly and attentive. Prices are pretty fair as well. If you can get to the city this is a great place to go!

Not sure what all the hype is about with this place. While large, their cheesesteaks are tasteless and they give you almost no cheese. It’s pretty much a steak sandwich. Their pizza is good from what I remember, but meals like their chicken strips have no breaking and are tasteless strips of grilled chicken. If it wasn’t overpriced, I might go here from time to time, but that isn’t the case.

I went due to the reviews. Nice little place. Friendly staff. I ordered a Pepper jack cheese steak. A little larger than average, but so are the prices. It was good, but nothing special. Slightly bland. Try it out, but dont go out of your way.

Best cheesesteaks in south jersey! We haven’t tried anything else… b/c the cheesesteaks are TOO good. Regular. Chicken. Buffalo! The cheesesteaks are large enough to split between two people. My husband and I split one and an order of fries. The people who own/work there are super sweet as well. So glad we found this place.

It’s probably my least favorite shop around. There is no delivery and that just makes things hard. The steaks a large, but not tender, and almost TOO large. Too much meat no cheese, and I ask for«extra, extra» cheese on mine. The pizza is ok, and the fries are good, but overall there are better places in the area. The parking lot is shared with chick-fil-a, lowes, dollar tree, pets mart, and a nail salon, it has one way in and one way out, it gets very busy, so just be careful pulling in and out.

Worse pizza I ever had. Hawaiian pizza had pathetic ham and sour canned pineapple chunks. The Margarita pizza was wet/watery and the cheese just falls off because crust is soggy. One an DONE…

Ordered the Margherita pizza. It’s a wet version. Must have some tomato sauce mixed in with the fresh tomatoes. Also kinda light on the fresh basil and mozzarella. That being said, it is the best Margherita in the area. Crust a bit thick, but it was crispy when fresh. Was much more expensive. $ 17.95 plus tax. My son loves their steak sandwiches.

I stopped here after reading the reviews on Unilocal. The environment and service is very good. Our waitress was friendly and the time it took to make the food was speedy. I had a cheese steak with raw onions, mayo and hot peppers and my boyfriend had the infamous buffalo chicken cheese steak. We both agreed both were very good and I liked how they used red onions instead of white but it was too dry and didn’t have much cheese. I tried their buffalo which was good but far from the best I’ve had. If you want a great buffalo chicken cheese steak try Papa’s Pizza in Turnersville, NJ. None the less, a good steak!

This place is okay. To be fair, I am a vegetarian. I ordered a mixed cheese hoagie. The roll it came on was the perfect hoagie roll texture — my favorite aspect of the meal. The cheese was standard American and provolone, and they do that thing where they put way too much on. I asked for oil and vinegar but really couldn’t taste it. It was to-go so I added both at home when eating it. There was a really wide drink selection, which I appreciate not being a soda drinker. I typically drink iced tea and hate nestea, so the brewed style tea in the fridge was a plus. I saw other things like the cold glass bottle of Starbucks fraps. My brother got a buffalo chicken cheese steak which he seemed to love. We also had a side of fries, which I didn’t like that much. It’s called«Steak Out,» so one would expect steak fries or substantial fries at least. These ones were like imitation mcdonalds with less salt — very thin. I also got a side of potato salad which when I opened after getting home, discovered contained bacon, so I couldn’t eat it. The menu said nothing about bacon! It was simply listed as «homemade potato salad.» Bacon is not a standard ingredient in potato salad. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it to another veg and probably won’t partake again myself.

I had to update my review because the husband(Philly cheesesteak snob/connoisseur) has now decided that Steak Out’s cheesesteak has surpassed his favorite cheesesteak for the last thirty years. We have also enjoyed the pizza from Steak Out. Very impressive. So much so that it has also surpassed our previous local favorite. We ordered a large with extra cheese. It was excellent NY style without being too greasy. This is as good as it gets people! I do wish they had better fries, still!

I have been all over the five state area looking for the Best Cheese Steak and I have had some excellent sandwiches. Today, I decided to try a local place, that I pass on a daily basis, Steak Out. It is EXCELLENT! I am passionate about a good cheese steak with fried onions and this place did not disappoint me. They just won another award for their steaks and I can see why. The roll is perfect and fresh and they fill it with steak that tastes like it was just cut. The onions are sautéed with the steak, giving it an incredible layer of flavor and they will cheese it according to your instructions. I opted for American and it was perfect. These huge sandwiches are juicy, requiring the Philly Lean when you eat them or the juice will run down your arms and onto your clothes, and that’s a good thing. For my first visit, I went natural and had nothing on the steak and it was the best I have had in NJ or PA, and that includes the two biggies and the other wanna be over in Philly. They have a huge menu, but if you want a cheese steak that rivals anything you can find around, head to Steak Out. You will not be disappointed. They have a BYOB license so bring your beer or wine and enjoy. Lots of seating room and the chairs are so comfortable and the service so good, you won’t want to leave. I have a new favorite place for my cheese steak fix, and it’s close to home.
