History

Established in 2015.

I’m a mom, licensed massage therapist and nature lover who thinks it’s high time she start modeling conscious consumerism for her little ones. After researching the effects the 84,000 chemicals used to make the products we use on a daily basis have on our bodies and our environment I was horrified. I know how time consuming and confusing the research is. I know how important it is to people from all walks of life to avoid as many harmful toxins as possible. Enter, Sustainable Roots. A place you can consume with care and know that each product was made with your safety and the safety of the planet in mind.

Business Owner

Erica Medina is a 39 year old mother to 4 year old boy/​girl twins and a 3 year old daughter. She has been a licensed massage therapist for over 10 years and spent 5 of those years working at a 5 star hotel in Chicago. Rest assured 5 star customer service is a top priority! Before entering the massage world, Erica took care of adults with severe cerebral palsy at Misericordia, also in Chicago. Erica is a lover of animals, nature and travel. She has 3 favorite accomplishments (besides finding and marrying the love of her life and her 3 gorgeous offspring!) 1. is successfully breastfeeding her youngest until self weaned at 20 months! 2. is shaving her head to raise over $ 3,000 for kids cancer research 3. is Sustainable Roots and all it stands for.
