NTB – National Tire & Battery

I’ve come here multiple times for a basic oil change. Quick service and friendly. Though I do have a few issues with them. As a young woman, I am cautious when I get work done on my car, because I’ve had many try and tell me I need unnecessary, expensive work done. Unfortunately, NTB was no exception. They told me I needed brakes, rotors, and calipers done and tried to scare me into thinking I was driving with practically no brakes. They told me this would be about 800 dollars worth of work. I did the work myself the next week (for 100 dollars), and it wasn’t even necessary work. My brake pads were hardly worn down, and the rotors and calipers were in just fine of shape. I hadn’t been sure since the vehicle was new to me. Another time I was there, they told me that they would rotate my tires for free, but never actually did the tire rotation. While they are friendly here and I don’t mind getting a quick oil change here when I need it, I take everything they say with a grain of salt. Unfortunately, they are one of many shops that tend to lack integrity.

After waiting 40 minutes to be recognized. I went in for a quote for rims and tires. claimed their Internet was down. He said «Leave your number and we will call you with the numbers» Never got a call. never going back and they lost 2000.00 worth of business..

I’ve been going here since ²⁰¹¹⁄₂₀₁₂. Matt the manager and Andy are the greatest guys when it comes to helping me with my car! They make sure they prioritize things to fix encase I don’t have all the money for everything that day. If there is nothing to fix they are honest and say things look great. I have gone to a few other places as I live in Eden prairie now and not Shakopee but those places reminded me why the drive is worth it! They are so patient with my 2 kids who sometimes have to wait with me. All around I have nothing bad to say. The customer service is amazing and I’ve never had an issue with my car after getting a service. Recently I got one heck of a deal on my tires being changed is what pushed me to join Unilocal and wrote about this great place!

this place used to be called Tires Plus. They hosed me a lot by continuing to offer me services for my vehicle that I did not need. I once came in for an alignment and ended up getting the brakes done also for about 1 thousand dollars. Be careful they will talk you into some unnecessary things. My dad had similar experiences with them trying to get extra things repaired that did not need to be.

My brother and my dad are part time dealers and We deal with Shakopee NTB 3 – 10 times a month, their always helpful never say no, Evan if they have to stay a bit after hours to finish a job.
Matt, Andy, and all the guys at that NTB are amazing people to work with.
