This park is really big and in an interesting location. There are a couple of ways to get here but the route I took was Highway 435 to Holiday Drive back behind the Deffenbaugh dump underneath the railroad track and then back through a housing subdivision. You would never guess there is a gorgeous park back there. Truthfully I didn’t even know this park existed until a couple of months ago. I was part of several Kansas City corporate challenge events, and a few of them took place at this park. They played soccer here, which I did not compete in but I did watch. The fields were divided up by division and their had to been at least 20 – 30 games going on at one time. I came back later and played flag football here. And there were probably 20 games going on at a time. The sidewalks are clear and curve around to different parts of the park for you to easily get to. The restrooms are centrally located and were kept very clean considering how many people were there. There’s also ample parking. At some point I would like to go back and just walk around the park and experience what else it has to offer. Like I said it is a fairly large park, and has several small rolling hills, and it’s divided up with soccer fields, open areas, and trails.
