Speedy Alterations

Don’t let the name of the business fool you like it did me. They are priced way too high and extremely slow! Oh and if you want speedy service, yeah that is another charge. I came in to have a few things sewn on my military uniform. It was $ 5 for each item to be sewn on. I could understand if it were something big or complex but a simple rectangular US Army nametape or my small square rank… yep $ 5 a piece.

Did a good job on the groomsmen suits for my wedding. The only thing I recommend is making sure you are specific with what you want and how you want it to fit, so they aren’t left to guess

I went here because the great reviews. If you do go here, make sure that you get everything you pay for in exact writing. I paid for one dress to be altered and dry cleaned and other dress to be cleaned. I stated several times that I needed the dresses to be cleaned when I paid ahead time and they assured that it was included in the ticket. Unfortunately, I did not get a detailed receipt. When I come back, they said that I needed to pay again for my dry cleaning. I told them that I had already paid, but they insisted I pay again so I did. Then when I picked up the two dresses they told me I had only paid for one dry cleaning and I need to pay a third time. Why would I have two dresses dry cleaned and only pay for one? It turns out there is a reason why they do not give you a full receipt when you pay. I had used them before and they had forgotten to send in my dry cleaning and I just thought it was an innocent mistake, but I guess I should have taken it as an omen.

I’ve never been to a tailor/​seamstress before, but I had a pleasant experience. That said, I don’t know what 5 stars looks like, so I took off one star. Sophia was very helpful. I dropped off a suit jacket to get the sleeves taken up. Spent less than $ 30 and she got the job done in 5 business days.

I don’t know enough about tailoring to know if this is five stars, but this place seemed great to me. I had two pants hemmed. They were speedy measuring and fitting me. They were having a very busy week, but she still managed to get the alterations done within a week. It was $ 20 for two pairs of pants (plus tax). Seems good to me!
Oh yes, and they say they don’t have the pet fox anymore — who knows if that’s true or not, but don’t get your hopes up to see it like I did.

Dropped off 3 dresses (one to be taken in, one with some boning to be fixed, and one with a shoddy zipper) and 1 blazer, to have the sleeves shortened and slimmed. Pick-​up was 1 week, and one dress, as it turns out, needed more work than expected (ripped lining). I wasn’t charged for the extra work. FWIW, I also requested to have the zipper replaced, but the seamstress explained that it would cost $ 36, whereas fixing the fabric around the zipper would cost $ 10. The pricing was fair, the work was good, and the seamstress was pleasant to chat with.

Great local alteration company. They did a great job for a reasonable price in a timely fashion. Just as promised Too bad they don’t have the cute fox anymore but their new rescue dog is sweet and cute too.

Ran (pronounced Ron) and her daughter Mary did and incredible job on a bridesmaid dress and a dress I needed for a speaking engagement.

Wow. Love this place. We were looking for a tailor who could turn two pairs of mens pants in a day. We live out of state so thanks Unilocal for leading us here. Very reasonably priced, we even came 4 hours early on our one day turn around and she was already done! My boyfriend looked great at his sister’s wedding activities because of his well fitting pants!

Awesome lady that works here! She is very kind and efficient! It was a little pricey for what I wanted but she did get an important alteration done for me in 2 days so I think that relented the price. Speedy, I would say is an appropriate word to describe the services! It’s kind of awkward bc it’s a small shop so the dressing room is basically in the waiting room but you’ll live! Lol

I went in to get a very delicate material that had a hole in it patched up… The final product looks great! The price was very reasonable! I will take my other items I need fixed there no question!

I decided to use Speedy Alterations based on all the fantastic Unilocal reviews, and I have never been disappointed. I’m short, so my jeans almost always have to be hemmed. They do such a great job-​you could never tell the difference! They have also shortened sleeves on jackets for me, added new zippers, etc. Totally worth it and super fast!

Hard working, honest business worthy of your patronage. As the other’s have mentioned, this is a no-​frills, service based, tailoring shop. They are less expensive than most, and the turn time generally is a week on most items.

I read all of the review for Speedy Alterations and decided to give them a try. I am a fan. I took them 5 pair of pants and had them back in a week. The best part, it only cost me $ 43. I’ve been other places that took twice as long and cost quite a bit more. I’ll definitely be taking my other clothes here.

I have been on the hunt for THE tailor and haven’t found a place that I fully trust.
After reading Unilocal reviews on Speedy Alterations, I took a big gamble and brought a dress that needed so much work, they basically had to rebuild the dress to get it to fit me. Moreover, I needed this to fit me perfectly in less than 2 weeks with zero room for error.
Today, I picked it up and they did a FANTASTIC job! Not only did they rise up to my expectations, they exceeded them by far. The dress fits like a glove. It fits so well that I look skinnier and more fit after they fixed it. (Just kidding).
As for speed and pricing, they truly are speedy! I got a completely re-​structured dress in less than 4 business days. My dress cost more than the other reviews, but I had so much work done to it and the fabric was pretty delicate (lace) that I feel like I got a great deal. I have paid other tailors so much more to do less work and left me dissatisfied.
None of my clothes will be going anywhere but Speedy Alterations from now on!

Just as the name says, Speedy! Somehow ripped the seam of my jeans and didn’t feel like changing… Called here, stopped in and they sewed/​patched them perfectly within about 8 minutes. Awesome job!

I took two pairs of dress pants here to have them hemmed. It’s a mom and pop shop that is wonderful. The woman greeted me and took my order promptly. She asked me when I would like to pick them up and I told her to take her time. I came back the next week because I wasn’t in a hurry, but she said she would have them done the next day if I needed. They seemed pretty busy. I got my pants back and am totally satisfied. I paid $ 8 for each pair plus tax. I will keep taking items here, because I am short and do not foresee myself growing luxuriously long legs in the near future.

I went to this shop because of a good review they got by Jennifer D. on Unilocal — she was so right!
They were so nice to my daughter and me, and did an EXCELLENT joy on the alterations — and were FAST!
I will definitely go back here when I need alterations.

I had five suits that needed altering after losing 50 lbs. The couple at Speedy Alterations exceeded my expectations did a FANTASTIC job! Each suit fits beautifully and you would never guess they used to be 3 – 4 sizes bigger.
You get what you pay for and Speedy Alterations is top notch when it comes to the quality of work and professionalism displayed! I spent a third of what it would have cost me to replace my suits in my new smaller size.
I am sold on Speedy Alterations and will take all clothing items in need of tailoring to them from here on out.
