Established in 2009.

Mattress To Go was created in response to consumer demand for absolute «rock-​bottom» pricing on premium mattresses, and combing that with educated and expert advice. We’ve eliminated all the sales commissions and bonuses that are built into mattress prices and we don’t maintain an in-​house delivery staff. The result is a better-​than warehouse club pricing structure, but it’s provided in a premium sleep shop environment. We have a large selection of 30 different mattresses and we provide vertified expert advice. On average, we save our customers 20%-30% over the «sale» prices at other stores. A typical $ 799 queen set at a furniture store will be in the $ 500 range at our store — a huge savings! Since 1992 our family has won numerous BBB and industry awards for our knowledge and service. Our reputation is beyond reproach.

My family has been in the retail mattress industry since 1992 and we’ve won many awards for our customer service, product knowledge and community service. The Mattress To Go concept was made possible by my relocation from central Michigan to Macomb County in 2009. I always wanted to open a sleep shop with honest discounted pricing, while still providing a premium selection combined with expert advice through my Beducation® program. Mattress To Go is such a shop. I’ve always prided myself on my level of product knowledge; I visit the factories where our mattresses are made and I take the time to learn about the differences in foams and mattress construction. My number one priority is to place myself in the shoes of my customers and find for them the best solution to their unique situation. With 20 years of experience and using university research-​derived protocols, I think I do an excellent job of following through on that goal. I’m also certified Sleep Specialist.

The best mattress experience I have ever had. I had decided on IKEA for our spare bedroom mattress but wanted to drop by and see what kind of deal we could get and we ended up picking one up here instead. The price was great and Jeff couldn’t have been any more helpful or friendly.

If you do any research on a bed, which you should, the road leads to Mattress to Go. The man knows mattresses. He has them in every budget and your getting a quality bed for the price. He does not do all the gimmicks of other AV’s and GW of the world.
After doing my research, I went with latex. I have never heard of latex beds before but it is fantastic. We love our beautiful Pure Bliss mattress. I use to wake up three times during the night but no more. I feel so rested every morning.
Like everyone said Jeff was so helpful, I went to the store five times laying on different latex firmness. Jeff knows it is a big decision. Do not forget the latex pillows!

You would be a fool to buy a mattress anywhere else. Seriously.
Jeff is a connoisseur of bed products. He is like the Neil Degrasse Tyson or Steven Hawking of mattresses. In addition to knowing more about mattresses than anyone alive, he’s not the traditional slimy, commission-​grubbing salesperson. He takes the time to understand your needs and make an educated suggestion, regardless of what he stands to gain personally.
The products in his store are great quality and super reasonable price.
Before you waste a ton of money on a mattress that might not be right for you, talk to Jeff.

I am out In Los Angeles, and I am getting our new bed from Jeff and Mattress to Go, to give you an idea of how lucky you are to be so close to Jeff and his store! I was about to give up, and stick with our bed that is I am pretty sure is an antique by now, when I went on Youtube as a last resort, just to see if anyone had anything good to say about any place that sells beds out here. (My family is from Michigan and Minnesota.) And nobody had anything but horror stories, about the bed, or the delivery, etc. (and I somehow got too old to strap the bed on my car, I don’t know when this happened exactly, ’cause I know I feel 18 inside, but the last time I tried to heft a recliner on to the top, it reclined right back on to me, in the parking lot, in front of someone who luckily got the chair up there for me, but you know, that’s just not the Midwest way! So, delivery it is now.
I am going off point here! I found Jeff on Youtube, under Matt to Go, and Beducation, explaining how to choose a bed, teaching how solid beds are constructed, explaining the differences between various constructions and materials, you name it, he covered it. But of course, a guy like that, he is in the Midwest. I don’t mean to insult anyone, but let’s just say the majority of guys like Jeff are in the Midwest.
I called, really just to tell him thanks for putting up the videos that cut through all the hoohah. And then, it turned out he ships, he ships beds allover. So we are getting our bed from Jeff, at Mattress To Go. We know how the bed is built, we know it is not a repackaged used bed, (and I have slept on many a hand me down bed over the years, but I knew who had handed it down, and I wasn’t paying for it!) just little stuff like that. And his prices are lower for a really well made bed, than the prices for beds out here that get terrible ratings every where I looked online.
He’s a good guy, smart guy, and has great beds. If you are in town, or wherever you may be, please don’t buy a bed until you check out Mattress to Go, and Jeff. You can go on Youtube, or call or email him, and save yourself all the miserable experiences people seem to be having just trying to get a good bed. Be well! (miss you midwest!)

Excellent! That’s the one word I would use to sum up our experience at Mattress to Go. Excellent service, excellent quality, excellent follow up.
Our mattresses were 10 years old, and we knew it was time to purchase new. We started to research and kept coming back to the helpful information in the Beducation section of the Mattress to Go website. On a nice day, we drove from Grand Rapids to metro Detroit to check things out in person. What a great decision!
The store was located off of major crossroads and easy to find, with parking readily available outside the entrance. The store was clean and organized, and more educational information was available by the beds and on the TVs that were mounted on the walls.
When we walked in, we were greeted immediately by Jeff, the owner. He was personable and knowledgeable, and struck the right mix of attentiveness without hovering. He asked us questions about our sleep habits that we had never really considered, and recommended a variety of beds to sample.
We spent quite a while in the store, moving from mattress to mattress (it was a 4 hour round trip, so we wanted to be thorough). Other customers came in while we were there, and Jeff politely excused himself to help them. We had the opportunity to casually observe those interactions and were just as impressed with the way he worked with others — consistently knowledgeable and pleasant.
We found mattresses that we really liked, so we started the ordering process. Jeff helped us consider pricing differences between shipping and another drive to metro Detroit — as it turned out, it was less expensive for us to pick up the mattresses. Jeff was willing to hold the mattresses for us until we could make the drive back to the area (another few weeks after they were available). He even recommended that we hold off on purchasing the pillow toppers that we were considering, sharing that it’s better to sleep on the mattresses for at least 1 month to determine whether a pillow topper would really be necessary. How many owners do you know who would talk you out of spending more money in their stores?!
After our purchase, we received a handwritten follow up card from Jeff. He even included a comment regarding a conversation that we had in the store. Then, he followed up when the mattresses arrived, helping us determine the best time in OUR schedule to drive back to the area.
We’ve had our mattresses for 2+ months, and are so pleased with our selection and decision to work with Jeff at Mattress to Go. He guided us in the right direction and made mattress shopping a fun experience. We would definitely return to Mattress to Go for our future mattress needs and are pleased to recommend Mattress to Go and Jeff to others who are in the market. Excellent!

This is a retailer worth every cent of your business.
Three full months of head-​spinning research led me to this no-​nonsense mattress shop in Shelby Township.
The owner, Jeff, greets you as soon as you walk into his store and somehow manages to handle every aspect of your transaction himself.
Everything about his business model seems to be geared toward value and service — I discovered he doesn’t employ a staff to help keep his prices as competitive as possible.
And even though he runs the shop on his own, he still delivered the best service I have ever received for a transaction like this. For those fortunately close enough to opt to save on shipping cost, he will personally tie down the mattress set on top of your vehicle to your confidence and satisfaction (buy the 4 pack ratchet strap set from Home Depot for $ 18 and you’re set).
As a salesman, he is a great blend of patient and informative. Very easy to talk to and not «pushing for a sale» with every single word. It’s like you’re talking to a friend about mattresses, only the friend is an expert.
A few days after my easy-​breezy trip home with my mattress on my roof, I received his handwritten thank you card in the mail replete with personal remarks about our chats. This is a retailer worth every cent of your business.
So if you’re just beginning to research your future purchase and this is your first stop, I encourage you to visit his website and read his About Us page to learn about the other half of this major transaction — the mattresses. It has been nearly two weeks and I can only speak to my Exceptional Touch «Ultra-​Premium Hand Crafted» mattress set, but all I can do is sing the praises of an incredible upgrade in sleep experience.
Pro-​tip: ask him about all of the accessories that go into upgrading a mattress set (pillows, pillow protectors, mattress protector). Turns out he sells the mattress protector I was about to buy on the internet… and his price beat the internet’s best price.

Had awesome service from Jeff while picking up my first new mattress ever! Great prices accompanied by great service! He even helped me load everything into my vehicle and strapped it all down. After sleeping on what Jeff called «my liquid bed» for almost 30 years, I was not exactly thrilled when my husband told me we need to get «a real bed». However, after reading all the reviews on different places, and then visiting them, hands down this place is the top! Jeff was so helpful and actually picked our bed out on the first try. His patience and understanding of what I needed, and even allowing me to spend as much time needed to make my choice. His knowledge of knowing just what his customer wants and needs, along with his outstanding customer service has this place sitting at the top of my «you should go to this place» list. I am in love with my new bed, and the fact that Jeff was able to save me money by telling me what I really needed to buy instead of trying to sell me on things that I did not need shot him to the top of my most favorite places to shop. I flew from NJ to MI to buy this mattress — that says it all (the fact that I was also going to my wife’s graduation will be left out for dramatic appeal)
Once in a while a business stands out from among their peers and it becomes very easy to write a nice review for them. Mattress to go is one of those businesses. In the past I’ve been buying mattresses from the big box stores but I have found them to be impersonal and not very customer friendly. Then I saw the YouTube videos Jeff the owner from Mattress to go made and instantly I knew this is the guy. He’s not trying to trick you or sell you something you don’t want/​need. He’s there to educate you on what’s available and you make the decision.
When I visited the store Jeff was just as informative and enthusiastic as he was in his videos. I sensed he was one of the most competent salesmen/​owners I have ever met. He is easy going, has a calm demeanor and is so helpful that it was a joy to go bed shopping. He worked hard to meet my requirements of delivery time frame and kept me updated via email of the progress.
I bought a King size Henley PT at half the price compared to a Stearns and Foster. The first night sleeping on the mattress was one of the most restful night sleeps I have had in a while and my back pain is getting better.
Most corporations just don’t get it. People aren’t looking for cheap; they’re looking for value. I’d rather spend a little more knowing I’m getting value for my dollar. Jeff at Mattress to go gets it. He understands what the consumer wants. Great value at a great price.
I will be buying another bed without hesitation; I can give him no higher recommendation than this.

As predicted /​expected the ‘Bride’ & I went there Friday Night to roll around on some beds, his selection is very huge. Entry level, medium & top end, also noteworthy is he has some super special mattresses, that you would consider using in a guest /​spare room.
We selected after almost 2 hours of trying them out, a Kathy Ireland Therapeutic, double spring system & a 4 inch foam pillow top.
I borrowed a gal pals Dodge Ram to go fetch it yesterday, and Jeff was ever so helpful, loading, protecting & securing the mattress.
I thought I would be able to unload it myself, but a good pal down the road was home & available [ ty RON O. ] & stopped over.
We slept on this little slice of heaven last night oh my, oh my~
This mattress is so FULL & TALL it finally filled up our 18 inch deep fitted sheets
