Established in 1987.
Shelby EyeCare Associates (originally called Dr. Danna Haba — Optometrist) was opened in l987. Right from the beginning we were privileged to offer optimum eye exams and vision care to our patients. Dr. Haba is a behavioral optometrist who excels at diagnosing and treating all types of vision problems. Shelby EyeCare was pleased to have Dr. Jennifer Place join the practice. Dr. Place shares the same practice philosophy as Dr. Haba, strongly believing in highly personalized care for each patient. She places great emphasis on listening to patient concerns and ensuring that every need is addressed.

Business Owner
Dr. Danna Haba founded Shelby Eye Care in 1987. She is a general care optometrist, specializing in pediatrics, learning disabilities and closed head injuries. She consults with the school and parents regarding the role of vision in learning difficulties.
Dr. Haba graduated with honors from the University of Missouri College of Optometry in 1985. Dr. Haba specializes in behavioral optometry/vision therapy, works extensively with children and adults who have difficulties in learning or vision perception, physical handicaps, and/or brain injuries. Dr. Haba was a past adjunct professor for the Michigan College of Optometry, and is a frequent lecturer and consultant nationally to educational, rehabilitation, therapy providers and other eye care professionals. She has been involved in a co-operative research project with the University of Detroit. A Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, Dr. Haba is a member of AOA, COVD, MOA and OEP.
