Days Inn Shelby

I can’t figure what’s up with all the bad reviews. First off the staff was very friendly. My room was very clean. It wasn’t the lap of luxury, but gee it was only $ 57/​night. The airconditioner worked great and it was very quite from outside noise. The free breakfast was ok too. It’s not a full buffet but a Continental breakfast as advertised. You can cook a hot waffle if you want. My bed was soft and the room was stocked with everything you need, refrig, mircowave, coffee pot, iron, blow drier and more. I think the owners must be remodeling the room because mine was great. The only thing that’s wierd was that the lobby doesn’t open until 0600 am sharp. That means you can’t just hang out and drink coffee and watch the lobby tv until the 0600 am breakfast is resdy. That’s a hassle if your trying to make it to work by 0630.

Never again. Building is trashy and dirty. Heater stopped working on a morning when it was 21 degrees. Large gap at the bottom of the door. Had to put pillows against it to try and to conserve heat. Bathroom was gross. Staff was not very friendly.
I travel a lot and will never give Days Inn my business again. The corporate HQ should pay this place a no notice visit.

Very old building but the room was clean with some renovations.
The «free» breakfast was terrible. Will be going to Waffle House down the road.
Don’t think I would stay again. Pay a little more for better accommodations.

Das Days INN, ist relativ ruhig gelegen, schön hergerichtet und macht gleich an der Rezeption einen schönen und sauberen Eindruck! auch die Zimmer sind sauber, gemütlich und angenehm! Wir sind zu zweit da, und zahlten 78,78 $ bei dem Frühstück mit inbegriffen ist! Ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen!

It’s hard to believe a chain as big as Days Inn would do this. I made reservations on line 3 weeks before I needed to travel. I received a 15% discount. That was great.
I had to cancel my trip 5 days before my check in. I travel enough to know that you should be able to cancel 24 hours before.
NOT at this Days Inn, it was an online special they charged my CC for the full amount when I made the reservations. Then will not refund it. I realize it was a special, but this day and age things happen beyond our control. They wouldn’t even work with me for even ½ back.
I will never stay or recommend Days Inn.

The building has been around for awhile, and I didn’t have to ask the clerk to find out. The room was okay, but it’s on the outskirts of town and kinda had a shady vibe to it. I was well rested when I checked out and didn’t have any problems. If you’re trying to save some nickels this a good stop.
