Nice environment but I prefer coffee with more body to it. Also it was obvious they cater more to the locals.

Definitely my favorite place to chill while in Shelby. Their Mexican coffee is something I’ve yet to find a match to elsewhere.

The blue moon tea latte is a different kind of drink. It’s a combo of blueberry tea, vanilla, and frothy milk. My husband also got the signature iced coffee that had a blend chocolate, half and half, and vanilla. It wasn’t overly sweet which is why I liked it. There was also huge homemade scones, croissants, and other baked pastries. The prices were also reasonable. Loved this place!

Local coffee shop with lots of yummy goodies to eat and always friends to see! You can get a pastry made fresh in the store. Join their fb page to keep up with events their having like poetry readings, live music or free henna tattoos.

The closest to my absolute favorite coffee shop at home in California. Staff is always friendly and I’m never disappointed with anything I order. Never.

Awesome coffee & treats! Local flare fit for any big city, right here in our own small town! @tiff_brad Loves to go here for some much needed Java and a moment to relax.

Did this place close down? I went to Shelby and couldn’t find it. I loved their white Mochas!

Convenient and reliable place to get a boost of caffeine when I’m in town visiting my family. Service is a little slow, a lot of the employees are young and making good coffee takes practice. Nothing out of the ordinary here… my one real complaint is that you have to stir the sugar/cream in your coffee with dry spaghetti noodles. I don’t really understand that? If they are trying to be eco friendly they could at least use metal spoons that could be re-washed. You have to use like 5 spaghetti noodles just get the stirring motion to happen and then the spaghetti starts wilting as it cooks in the hot beverage. It’s a cute idea… I guess… but donate the spaghetti to the hungry folks in your town and give me a dang spoon!

Stopped by to get some gift cards and a cortadito. Basically double espresso shot with sugar in the raw and steamed half and half — this is what Five Hour Energy drinks when it’s sleepy. So creamy and delicious even with the heart palpitations!

Great selection of coffee and tea! Service is always excellent and I love the atmosphere. It’s always a great place to visit if you’re in downtown Shelby.

Stopped here today while working and need a pick me up big time. I’m a regular at star bucks and always get the same thing. I was sad when I looked at the menu and didn’t see my drink. I asked the batista if he could make my favorite cup of Joe even if it wasn’t on the menu. He said absolutely and within seconds I had the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had in my life. If there was one of these in Charlotte I would go here every morning. I’ll stop by every time I’m in Shelby.

I’m not a coffee drinker, but I do occasionally like to stop in for hot chocolate or tea. LilyBean used to be over on Lafayette St but they’ve now moved to a new location with a lot more space. It’s very nice and trendy inside. Lots of fun art and they’ve really integrated the store’s atmosphere into the old storefront they took over. Everyone seems to know each other here. They have lots of drink option and the prices are pretty reasonable for specialty stuff. I wish they had a few more options for deserts and such, but I’m not complaining too much. I’m proud that Shelby seems to support its local coffee houses versus bringing in chains and corporate juggernauts. I always appreciate a store that becomes a part of the community like LilyBean.
