Avalon Shelton

I moved to Shelton from Tallahassee, Florida in ⁵⁄₂₀₁₄. It was my would be new officemate (Jeff) in Bridgeport that recommended Avalon Shelton to me. Immediately I called the number, and it was Darlene Zummo who assisted me. Not only was she very nice on the phone, but she was also organized in what I’m supposed to do, giving me a list of numbers to call. I was in Tallahassee at that time, and the only picture I saw was Avalon’s current picture right now (with the pool) on their marketing pages. It was Darlene’s reassuring voice and the way she managed everything that I knew everything will be ok.
It would turn out to be not ok — but what a wonderful one year and ten months it has been! The folks here are great. When I say great, they will attend to your service requests immediately. They will go out of their way to make sure residents tops on their list. Let me give you examples:
1.) I used to park on the 5^th floor, and it was a hassle when it rains and snows. One day Darlene Zummo called me if I am interested in taking the 4^th floor covered parking as it became available. I did not even asked for it. Was she reading my mind? She must be the nicest person I’ve ever met.
2.) Last winter, we had a fire and gas scare, and it was bitterly cold outside. Fortunately, there was no fire and no untoward incident except that it took about 2 hours for the local firefighters to clear everything and allowed us back in. Jim Capra handled the whole incident marvelously. He talked to the building supervisor of the adjacent condominium that let us, residents, to take refuge in their building. Nex thing I knew, Jim came back with bottled waters and snacks. Who does this? I’ve been to several apartments as I have moved from state to state and I’ve never seen this.
I feel like I live in a luxury hotel, except that I cook my continental breakfast. Their gym, while small is good enough because it is hardly occupied so it can be all your own. The pool, the grills, the TV room, are great, especially their wi-​fi which is always available when I lose my Comcast connection. The location is walking distance to restaurants and a short drive to the rest of the restaurants on Bridgeport Avenue. I-​95 and Merritt Parkway is pretty accessible, and the shopping is everywhere, well within the 15 – 20 minute drive. If you like Dunkin Donuts, you can walk to the corner in your pajamas. There’s laundry cleaners a block away. Or you can have it picked up at Avalon.
It is truly a beautiful living experience here at Avalon Shelton. I am writing this from the bottom of my heart as a way of thanking all the staff of Avalon Shelton even though I only mentioned Darlene and Jim — since I am moving out of state again.

Wonderful place to live with your family reminds me of a high end luxury hotel, been living here for 2 months and I love it .The staff is amazing and Darlene from the leasing office been the nicest person ever

The Avalon Shelton was like a Resort style living with all new appliances and friendly staff. Darlene was very nice helping us anytime with a smile on face.
Gym was also equipped with new machines.
We enjoyed our stay over there.

WE LOVE IT HERE! Convenient to restaurants, hair and nail salons, parks and other area attractions. Maintenance requests are answered within 12 hours. Pool and grills are great. The ONE thing that would give this place 5 stars is a function room that could be reserved by tenants.
