Established in 2008.

In any fire, tinder is needed to turn the spark of imagination into a bonfire of reality. Creative Tinder was formed to be that tinder for you — the fuel for your imagination and ideas.

After a decade in marketing and management for the media and entertainment industries, Creative Tinder President Dean Purvis was frustrated by the lack of personal attention and customization in the design and creative development industries. Too often, he felt companies would push their ideas on the client instead of listening to the client and working towards the client’s goals.

Dean began Creative Tinder as a counter-​point to that idea. To provide personal service focused on supporting your goals with ideas from our diverse and talented base of creative professionals.

Creative Tinder was started by President & Lead Firestarter, Dean Purvis. The child of an engineer and a ballet dancer, Dean grew up in a house that appreciated and encouraged both sides of his brain. Though those sides often felt at odds, as he grew older, he discovered that his best work, technically or creatively, came when he allowed them to work in tandem. He brings that same spirit to Creative Tinder.

Creative Tinder is much more than just one person — it is a collective of creative minds working for you. Our team members include designers, artists, writers, editors, developers, programmers, UI experts, brainstormers, problem-​solvers, technical madmen, marketing gurus and general creative geniuses. Under the personal direction of Dean, each hand-​picked team works with a singular purpose… helping fuel your creative ideas into bold and vibrant reality.
