Really down to earth guy. Brought the car in for some headlight/​taillight electrical issues. He thought he could easily fix it but ran into some issues because the guy who sold me the car had messed around with the electrical putting aftermarket headlights in. I left that day after he had worked on it and he didn’t even charge me. When I came back with the original oem headlights a few days later, his garage was packed. It was 2pm. By 4pm, he called me to let me know they were done and the price was very reasonable. I’ve had a lot of mechanics over the years and I definitely have to recommend these guys. Hopefully I won’t need to anytime soon, but if I do have any issues, I’ll be taking my car to him.

Eugene has now worked on my 1979 Trans Am and my 2012 Altima with great results. The price is always fair and he gets the job done. My T/​A was running poorly due to a mechanic doing a shoddy job when I lived in Denver. Eugene had his guys get it running like a top and fixed other misc. odds and ends which were not fixed earlier like missing brackets and a broken vacuum hose to the carb. With my Altima, the AC went out and I got quotes from 900‑1200 to replace the compressor. Eugene replaced the compressor clutch for ¹⁄₃ the price and I was on my way.

No one likes an issue with their car, but these guys make it a little less worse. Always friendly, hard working, attentive and most important honest. I think we can all agree a trust worthy mechanic is a rare thing… the fact that they are great guys is just a bonus. This is my go to when anything runs amuck; and even when it’s something small they have always been helpful and prompt, and trust me I come in for some pretty small stuff they could easily roll their eyes out. If you need work, this is the spot.

If you can’t repair a problem with my car the first time around and I have to bring it back to you a second and even third time don’t charge me each time for a problem you should have fixed the first time. It makes you appear to be incompetent and unethical. I’m filing this experience under «Scam N Me «rip off!

I have know Eugene as a honest and very professional mechanic for four years. When I have problems with my car, he finds and fixes them very fast for reasonable price. I always receive a great service here. Thank you Eugene for your excellent work.

Best folks ever, and they do great work. It’s not hard to believe that they were less cool to Thom P. than they are to most girls, because they don’t treat girls poorly (at least not this one). Thoughtful, kind, and really old school. If you want a place that’s open all the time, go to Pep Boys.

i have been going to Eugene and his crew for over 10 years. Eugene is knowledgable and knows exactly what needs to be done. He always goes out of his way to accommodate his customers.

I found Eugene in 2005. My then-​car, (a new-​to-​me, i.e., bought 3 year old, 2002,) Toyota started having some engine noise. I took it to the Toyota Dealer and they quoted me $ 1200.00 to repair the car.
I decided to get a second opinion, and went to Eugene at Dad and Me on the recommendation of a friend who raved about him. When I brought my car in that first time, I understood why my friend called Eugene ‘the car whisperer’ and ‘the most honest mechanic you’ll ever meet’: He popped the hood, turned on my car, listened for a minute, took a look at the engine, then told me: ‘You don’t even need this, but $ 30 to replace 2 motor mounts is what you could do.” Boom. Problem solved, $ 1170.00 saved, noise gone.
That’s the cool thing about Eugene: Integrity. He builds relationships with his customers, based on honesty and quality work. He will not only tell you what you do need, he will also tell you what you don’t need… no scare tactics, no attempts to up sell… And man, does he know his stuff, (foreign or domestic, hybrid or gasoline engine, he just KNOWS… and he explains everything thoroughly before he does the work so you know your options.) Another nice thing about Dad and Me is that you see the same faces every time you go in. In the 8 years I’ve been going to Eugene his staff turnover among ‘his guys’, (i.e., the 2 other guys who work in his shop,) has been ZERO. Eugene does great work, and he hires guys whom he also expects to do great work… and they do. Integrity, honesty, quality workmanship, a strong work ethic, and clear communication have been my experience at Dad and Me.
When my (then boyfriend,) needed someone to do some work on his truck, I introduced him to Eugene. In 2010 when my, (by then fiancée,) passed, Eugene was the person who helped me find a new home for his, (by then suv,) when I decided i didn’t want to keep a second car. In addition, in the years before and after, I’ve referred over a dozen friends and clients alike to Eugene; Every person I’ve referred to Eugene has been completely satisfied with the work he has done on their vehicles.
Last year I bought a new car. The dealer included 3 years of free oil changes and other regularly scheduled maintenance. I’ve had the new car for a year this month and I haven’t bothered going to the dealer to take advantage of the freebie oil changes; The regular maintenance at the dealer would be free, but I don’t know that mechanic, so I take my new car to Dad and Me instead because I know who is going to be working on my car and I know they care about doing a good job. Eugene has earned my trust, Eugene has earned my business, thus Eugene is who I’ve chosen to take care of my new car… end of story. :)

We have been taking our car to Eugene for several years now. He is the best ! Honest, generous, trustworthy and trusting. I do not know how he manages to give each and every customer such wonderful personal attention but that’s him. He is a neighborhood treasure and worth every penny. I would recommend him to anyone who would respect his workmanship.

This is a shop you can trust. I was an auto mechanic in a prior life and know good and well when one is trying to pull a fast one on me. Most shops are worthless and look to gouge folks, but this shop is legit all the way. None of those fancy software programs to figure out how much to charge, which is usually overinflated. No cutting corners on your repair job in order to widening the profit margin such as replacing only some of the parts and reusing old ones with some added brush-​on gasket sealer.
These guys are FAIR, COMPETENT and PRICED APPROPRIATELY which is the GOLD STANDARD in auto mechanics!

Gene and the guys are always so patient and honest. He’ll always let’s u know all the facts and doesn’t do scare tactics to get u to fix it here. These guys are awesome!

I have had my car serviced at this shop two times now. The first time was brakes (and it turned out I needed two front tires as well). My most recent visit was because MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON!!!
Eugene could not have been kinder both times.
Car issues give me a lot of stress because I’ve had bad experiences with previous mechanics. In the past I have felt taken advantage of and have spent a lot of money to not necessarily have my problems fixed to my satisfaction.
Both times I have been to the shop Eugene was patient, explained exactly what was wrong with my car, and worked with me on the price for the repairs. My car was ready the same day. He even phoned me a week later to make sure I was satisfied with the service.
Women – do not feel like you’ll get a bunch of double talk or be condescended to and bamboozled. He’s patient, thorough, and will show you what’s going on in a way you can understand – even if you don’t know or understand the first thing about cars.
Dad & Me is my new mechanic of choice and I give this mechanic five stars.

When my car was giving me problems, they took nice care of it. The mechanic was very helpfull and told me all the issues, cost before fixing it. They even helped out on getting the parts cheaper. My check engine light is gone and my baby runs great. A+ service thank you Rafo jan.

I love Eugene! He is always wonderful about showing me the problems with my car, calling me to tell me what needs to be done and how much it will be (before actually doing it!!) and trying to find cheaper parts for me.
He even loaned me his shop van for 2 days while he was waiting for a part for my car. It was a POS on the outside, but man did that thing run WELL! I will never take my car anywhere else, I totally trust him completely. He is so great and dedicated to his customer.
