okay i didnt believe it, i read these reviews and figured they had to be fake who in the world is happy getting a root canal? being that this would be my first root canal it was hard to believe but i made the appt anyways and figured i would trust the people before me and it was a great decision! he did a great job i have no more pain and it was just another day at the office for dr bassali
note the root canal was a little pricy but i guess you get what you pay for right?

When a busy doctor leaves his Saturday tennis game to take care of the screaming pain in my mouth, 5 Stars. Period. Working in his empty office, without assistance, he had me back out the door in an hour, antibiotic prescription in hand, and two hours later I was eating once again (which I hadn’t been able to do for three days).

Went to see the doctor this morning for a consultation regarding a root canal, not only did he do the root canal the same day but he was extremely gentle and caring. I was really nervous and he put me at ease and the rest of the staff was also excellent and professional. Total breeze, hopefully don’t need another root canal but if I do I know where I’ll be going.

I was so scared of heading to the dentist for root canal, this was the best experience I had at the dentist. I never would’ve thought I would fall asleep during a root canal. His team is so friendly and they worked with me, to get the medical care I need. Definitely don’t want another root canal but if I do I know where to go!

I too fell asleep during my root canal. Dr. Bassali is AMAZING!!! Calmed my fears and had such gentle hands I barely noticed it was happening.

Was referred to Dr. Bassali by Dr. Dixit from studio city dental group a second time for a root canal. My first root canal went rather well and I was pleased. The second root canal, I was rather angry and outraged by his behavior because, after fixing my root canal, he subjected me to countless amount of X-​rays which made me extremely uncomfortable and I still do not understand why he subjected me to countless X-​rays. I did report this to Dr. Dixit and I haven’t heard back.

Can anyone say they fell asleep during a root canal?

I was referred to Dr. Emad Bassali for root canal by my dentist. As with most people, root canal work connotes lots of pain and discomfort. However, I was in for a surprise of my lifetime! Dr. Bassali is simply amazing with his exceptional skills to complete my root canal with very little pain or discomfort. Truly I’ve been in more discomfort when seeing my regular dentist for minor dental work than the root canal work performed by Dr. Bassali. I actually felt so relaxed that I had almost fallen asleep while the work was being done. Plus, Dr. Bassali has a great sense of humor which immediately puts you at ease.
Dr. Bassali is a terrific communicator; he explains in detail the work being done. After leaving his office, I felt terrific and had no residual pain as is usually the case when I leave my regular dentist office. I also appreciated the phone call from his office the following morning to see how I was feeling. Overall, I found Dr. Bassali not only an extremely professional, competent, and skilled endodontist, but also a very kind and caring doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Bassali to perform any root canal.

I needed a root canal. I went to one of my dentist“s friends.
In the middle of the procedure a piece of metal from the hand piece that was being used broke in my tooth. My dentist sent me to Dr Bassali. I got an appointment right away. He saved my tooth and took care of me at a very reasonable charge.

He is caring and understanding. I love how he listens and explains the dynamics of what is happening with teeth period! He is great to our family and our extended family. His office is beautiful and clean. The staff is terrific especially the office manager (YB). The follow up care is also great.
If you are ever in need of a root canal, ask your dentist to refer you to him or seek him yourself. You will not be disappointed!

I am the kind of person that gets nervous just going to get my teeth cleaned so when my dentist said i had to have a root canal, of course my heart dropped. I was referred to Dr Bassali.
When i got to his office i told him how nervous i was and he assured me that all would be great and i will not feel a thing. Well, of course i was filled with disbelief.
All i can say is, the man is a genius. I not only did not feel a thing but i think i fell asleep in the chair!

I was referred to an endodontist because of a possible complicated root canal on my front tooth, which also had a crown/​veneer. I needed to go to a specialist, especially since my regular dentist saw a «dark spot» above where the root canal would go. Dr. Bassali’s reputation precedes him, he came highly recommended from my dentist, as well as several other family-​friends who have had procedures at this office.
First of all, I would like to tell everyone who is scared of the dentist that my root canal did not hurt at all! It was a much more pleasant experience than anticipated, and by far, my best dental experience to date.
I was living abroad at the time, and was home for a short while, so the doctor carved out a longer appointment to accommodate my time constraints. He did the x-​rays himself, the numbing and local anesthesia shot, and all the prep work, swiftly and accurately. I normally gag on those x-​ray squares, but this was done so quickly, I didn’t even notice, and no there were no retakes!
I could tell that he is very well versed at what he does; he was doing his work so well, while constantly keeping an eye on his patients and ensuring their well being. If I felt anything weird during the procedure Dr. Bassali would immediately stop and fix it. Dr. Bassali also took the final x-​rays himself and made sure I had a follow up appointment.
The office is easy to find, and there is plenty of parking. The building seems well maintained and the office itself is certainly clean and quiet, with plenty of entertainment and a cheerful staff. The office manager was very friendly; she didn’t mind any questions I had regarding the forms etc. The dental assistant who worked with Dr. Bassali was always talking to me, asking questions, and making sure I was not uncomfortable. The procedure took a little over an hour from the time he put the numbing gel on, to the time I walked back out to the front.
If I ever needed another root canal I would definitely go back to this place. The level of attention and care they provide made the whole experience excellent.

Was referred to Dr. Bassali by Dr. Dixit from studio city dental group (awesome dentist).
I was super nervous to get a root canal, but from the start I was comforted. From the appointment phone call with the receptionist to the reminder phone calls to the procedure itself, I felt at ease. Everyone in the office was extremely nice and Dr. Bassali himself was amazing.
There’s a PowerPoint shown while you wait which I thought was genius! Gives you info on what the procedure will look like, prevention tips for future, and possible side effects.
The root canal was painless and I was able to wear my headphones to listen to my own music and not hear too much of the drilling — which helped a lot!
Would recommend him hands down!

What can I say– came to Dr. Bassali 11 years ago for a root canal and when it was determined I needed another one, I became a return customer. Gentle and quick, Dr. Bassali is an expert at his craft. Look no further– front office staff are pleasant and worked to get me in even on New Year’s Eve!

I have bridge where a tooth underneath went dead after having the bridge for nearly 20 years. It went crazy on a weekend, of course. My regular dentist Dr Sheldon looked at it and figured it needed a root canal so he sent the xray to Dr Bassali who said it needs a root canal.
The bill for Dr Sheldon’s 314 that day (he did a cleaning an examination, and the bridge was elevated from the infection so he ground it down a bit and a few xrays) No complaints. Dr Sheldon is an awesome dentist.
So I get to Dr Bassali just down the street, the consultation is $ 125, the procedure $ 1300. I explain my dental insurance ran out like many Americans it’s impossible to get union hours in the republican gulag I live so she applies the $ 125 consultation to the bill and so I only owe $ 1175. Nice.
He was behind the day of the root canal so they called me an½ hour before and pushed my appointment back. a half hour. The procedure itself is perfect, his root canals completely painless and fast but here is the surprise you get at the end. Before he rushes off to do another root canal he says now you have to go to your regular dentist and have him fill the hole he made in the bridge ($ 225 on average). Now you have to go call your dentist and hope he has some time to finish Dr Bassali’s job.
Dr Bassali did a great job overall and his staff is great, if I have one criticism it will be that it was that I did not know what he was going to do, and what I would be required to do. Had I known i would have scheduled my having to run to my regular dentist right after. I know, why would I not want to be going to appointments all week?!
For those of you on a budget these kinds of bills are the kind that destroy you. My tally for dentistry this week.
