Goodway Print & Copy

Not greeted not acknowledge when walking in. There were no other customers, was asked what do I need? $ 5 minimum just to make some copies. Would love to support a local mom and pop store but with horrible services and unreasonable rules? I’ll stick to staples

I am the office manager of a restaurant in Calabasas, and we get all our paper and promotional products from Goodway — and have done so for at least 10 years. Goodway has always provided fast delivery and fair prices. The owner, Leslie, is professional and prompt. We order everything from customized business cards, gift certificates, menu paper in a wide variety of sizes, to buckslips, envelopes, and more. One time, we received about 20 sheets of paper in a size that was a bit too wide — despite it only being a few sheets, Leslie insisted on picking it up and trimming it to the correct size, and dropped the paper off the very next morning.
Overall, 5 stars for customer service, print and paper quality, and reasonable prices.

When it was time to send my job to a printer, I cringed when I heard that the committee decided to use Goodway. Their website doesn’t specify a preference type for files to upload. When I call to confirm about the upload, the service desk girl aka Leslie told me that she haven’t’ received it. I confirmed my upload as a PSD file and she said some one just deleted it and would prefer a PDF. She was able to find it in the trash section and use it. Well, the copy proof came and there were a discrepancy on a element perhaps in converting to PDF from PSD, I wasn’t able to get her to correct it in time and basically she said that there wasn’t anything she can do. Go print somewhere else. I even had better support from Staples and Kinko’s.

I have been doing business here for a few years, and there are definitely some good things about the way they operate. For one, they have a great website where you can place an order with all instructions and submit your files electronically. Well, you can submit one file at a time, but its still fairly convenient and you almost always get a response quickly.
The reason for the 2 stars is the customer service from the owner, Leslie. She has always had a dour attitude at best. She’s been cordial to me over the years, but over the past few months she’s been downright rude and today she actually yelled at me for doing my crop marks incorrectly. I was in contact with the shop about some revisions to them on and off, but no one called me to make any major changes as they’ve done in the past if there was ever a problem. It was extremely unprofessional and I am still shocked that someone would treat a longstanding customer (or any customer!) with such disrespect. I am a business owner myself, and I would never, under any circumstances yell at a client or be rude to them for any reason.
The prices here are ok, but I’ve seen better. I say go somewhere else where you will be treated with respect.
