Specialties
Keyboard Concepts is a retail piano store (4 locations in Southern California). We have been in business since 1983. We sell new Yamaha, Bosendorfer, Schimmel, Knabe, Casio pianos, digital pianos and keyboards; used Steinways, Mason Hamlin, Kawai, many other brands. We have a large sheet music and accessory department and host various musical events, concerts and recitals at all of our locations.
History
Established in 1983.
Our first location opened in 1983 in Van Nuys and remained at that location until 2011 when we moved across the street to 5539 Van Nuys Blvd in Sherman Oaks. During the past 29 years we opened three other locations in Agoura Hills, Santa Monica and Tustin in Orange County.

Dennis H.
Business Owner
Dennis M. Hagerty is a lifelong resident of the San Fernando Valley. In 1983, Dennis founded Keyboard Concepts, Inc., an 1,800 square foot store. Since then, Dennis and his partner, Jeff Falgien, have expanded the original store and opened three other piano stores in Agoura Hills, Santa Monica and Tustin in Orange County. Keyboard Concepts is now the largest Yamaha and Bosendorfer dealer in North America.
Dennis and Jeff are enthusiastic supporters of music programs and events at local schools, churches and various charitable organizations. The success of Keyboard Concepts may be summed up in Dennis’s Golden Rule of Selling: «You never get a second chance to make a first impression».
