The bomb dot com! Been waiting for a good noodle place in my neck of the woods, they have everything! WIN!

Was expecting more but was OK. Taro boba was OK and Tom Yum soup was also… just OK. Would I return? Yes, I would but not by choice but to meet someone for dinner and their choice.

I got the Veggie ramen and it was amazing! Something about that broth is phenomenal, and their boba is great too. I give it 4 stars because it sorta took a while and they messed up my order and gave me beef ramen at first, however, they apologized multiple times and fixed the problem as soon as possible. Can’t wait to go back!

Do not confuse the reviews for Noodle World with those for the Thai Restaurant who was formerly in this location!!! Very different!!! We have, foolishly, been to Noodle World twice since their opening 10 days ago. The first time was during their opening weekend, and I(incorrectly) assumed that the dishes that were wrong(chicken instead of beef, etc) and the food being so-so was because we had not ordered correctly and decided to come back. Sadly, we did return. This time, there was no line, the place was EMPTY. Even with few diners, the orders came out wrong once more. The vegetarian dish we ordered came out containing pork. The Phở with Rare Beef contained these rubbery slices of the most dried out leather it was hard to tell if at any point it had been beef. The broth of the Phở was bland and tasteless. The other dishes were poor quality… you would do better to buy an Asian noodle dish in the microwave section of the grocery store. Even the iced tea was bad. The waitress and other staff asked how our meal was and I explained that we were not enjoying our meal. No attempt was made to correct the dishes or to amend the bill. Needless to say, we will never be returning. Had high hopes for this restaurant and am so very disappointed. Noodle World, you FAIL.

This place is OK. A couple of my buddies suggested that I should try this noodle shop. We ordered the House Special Noddle(7 bucks), Fried Tofu(7 bucks) and a Pad Thai(8 bucks) The House Special Noodle is ok, nothing special about this dish, soup is kinda bland and flavorless. The Fried Tofu is good. i really liked it, deep fried to perfection(crunchy and airy) and the sweet dipping sauce made this dish perfect! The Pad Thai is ok, typical pad thai that you usually get at a Thai restaurant. Overall, the food is OK but the service is top notch! really friendly staff! Should I come back? hmmm.yes. maybe ill skip the House Special Noodle next time. LOL there is nothing really«special» about it. Btw. i love their BOBA drinks! Delicioso!

Yes, finally a place that actually fills the gaping South East Asian food hole in Sherman Oaks! For those of us who live around the area, North Hollywood and Ranch 99 square in Van Nuys were the only places to grab authentic South East Asian food-Thai/Vietnamese, etc. Note: AUTHENTIC. While Noodle World is a chain restaurant, and a sort of Jack of All Trades, they do not disappoint for the convenient location and price. There are not much options for dining under $ 10 in the Sherman Oaks area(don’t read this if you would much rather, sadly, like one of the reviewers, go across the street to the much-overhyped In and Out) which does not include fast food or tired Americanized take out food, so to be able to choose from nicely-sized offerings for $ 7 to $ 9 is very good indeed! I have tried so far their Vietnamese Grilled Pork dry rice noodle with sweet sauce as well as their Hainam Chicken Rice with a special home made sauce. Both are decently good and I will not hesitate to order them again. They have at the tables, house-prepared chili sambal which is interestingly different in a good way. It is always a plus(for the eatery) for me to find something other than the ubiquitous Sambal Oelek. Drinks-I ordered the Young Coconut Juice came with lots of crushed ice and is simple, refreshing and yummy but they also offer the usual Boba teas and smoothies. Staff is helpful and attentive(during the times I went) and food might not be as fast as some phở places but hey they’ve been open less than 2 weeks. I am perfectly fine with growing pains at this point. Perhaps at busy hours they might get a little flustered but hey give them a chance to work it all out. All in all, I am very satisfied with my dining experiences so far, and will undoubtedly be back. It was a superb move for them to take over the previous thai restaurant and I hope Noodle World stays open!

As with all new businesses I expect a few kinks. The place was busy… very busy. This was a good sign. The food came out slowly, but again… grand opening… I ordered the veggie egg rolls and the bbq pork & wonton noodle soup. The veggie egg rolls were very nice. They came out hot, crispy and had a nice flavor. The bbq pork & wonton noodle soup came out a bit later and was missing the wontons. The manager went back to check with the kitchen and came back with a small bowl of wontons. Everything was good, especially the management team. They worked just as hard as the servers, running around making sure the guests were tended to. I give more stars to the management because they impressed me more than the food did. I’m very happy to have a Noodle World here in Sherman Oaks. I will be back!

Came here on the grand opening day and was surprised there was 59 reviews already! then I found out that the thai restaurant that was previously here took over their Unilocal page. We parked in the back, unfortunately there was only like 8 to 10 parking spots in the back. My friends and I did find parking though. I then ordered the BBQ pork soup with egg noodles and an Asahi beer. The beers were cheap at $ 3.50 a bottle! We talked to management about closing later… if they do… I might just become a regular!

Noodle World just opened today, so don’t get confused with the other reviews for the Thai place. Love this place, and so glad that we finally have a decent phở place in our area. Great variety of food, and great customer service. We came in with our baby and the management provided us with a baby infant seat thing right away. We had the Noodle World Phở and it was the bomb! We also had the Crispy Chowmein Seafood. Ummmmmmmmmm! I am a fan of this place and most definitely will go back. I hope they have a grand opening special.

Fire! Sept 07th2010 Thai Jasmine has sustained fire damage on Sept 7th2010 and is currently closed for cleanup. The damage seems to be contained to the kitchen and rear entrance area. Lunch The place is great for a quick and cheap lunch. Two people can walk out for under $ 20. The portions are large enough to fill you up, just understand that if you order shrimp you will be disappointed with the amount you get; but I think thats everywhere. Boba For my Boba Fans, unfortunately since the change of name from Lanna Thai to Thai Jasmine, they are no long serving Boba. Decore If you haven’t been to the place since the name change, its gotten a little batter. They have covered up more of the indoor pool and turned it in to a pond surrounded by bamboo planks; looks much better. The tables and chairs have changed and so has the bar area. The new bar sports a nice flatscreen TV which had replaced three wall mounted tube television sets. Food The food has changed a bit. They are no longer giving you pad thai noodles with every meal and the cookie is gone too. The lunch only comes with a salad, but if you know, you can order the soup(wonton) although its a buck extra its much bigger than what it was when it was free.

The food at Thai Jamine is summed up in one word: DELICIOUS! My friend and I went here on a whim and boy did it turn out to be a great last minute decision! I had the Pad See Yu(spelling?) and it was incredible! The chicken wasn’t overcooked and the noodles were the perfect consistency! He had the pineapple curry and it was delectable! I can’t even describe how the curry was! NOW, here’s the best part! The meal was super cheap! I’m not kidding! My meal was like $ 8.95 and I believe his was the same price. The ambiance in the restaurant is pretty stellar, too! They have a chic bar setup and a beautiful aquarium. Oh yeah, did I mention they have a pond in the middle of the dining area?

I came here when it was called LannaThai on Feb. 6th, 2010. The food was great, but this experience had a…(ahem!) somewhat sour ending… Ok, so last minute we make it to this restaurant in the Valley and turns out it’s closed. So of course, I quickly pull my iPhone out of my purse and look for another in the area. This place Lannathai comes up, I call and they say kitchen’s still open. So we go! My bf orders the Fried Rice and I order the Honey Roast Duck with brown rice. Both delicious! His fried rice not greasy at all, just perfect. My duck, amazing. Dessert — fried bananas with coconut ice cream — just perfect, too. Server was a little in a hurry since they closed soon, but I can understand, since really it was us who were untimely. Yet VERY timely to have experienced THIS: you do wonder at this point if we loved the food, and the server was polite, what WAS wrong, right? Well to our astonishment, the second we’re done eating, we look up to a table across the room and we see women(a few) of the staff(I think they were cooks!!!) PICKINGTHEIRNOSESWITHTHEIRFINGERSANDCLEANINGTHEIREARSWITH Q-TIPS ANDPUTTINGTHEDIRTY Q-TIPS ONTHETABLE!!! I had to burst out laughing(heck, what can I do? I already ate the darn food!) and of course I COULDNOTWAIT to write this review. By the way, I DOKNOW they weren’t clients, because I saw there was no one else left dining besides us, and I saw them come into the dining room through the kitchen door, purses in hand, sat down, like employees do when it’s closing time. The thing is, I can’t give them 1 star, because I did like the food before I saw what I saw! I know — it’s wrong in every way. So yeah, food was good, but now we know what THEIR secret ingredient is!!! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go gargle with ammonia. LOL!

Decided to give it a try after reading the reviews. Seems like they had more current positive reviews. Was on a double date with another couple so was able to try quite a few dishes. From the moment we walked in we were all impressed with the restaurant. A koi pond right in the middle of the dining room plus a 500 gal fish tank off to the side. Nice full bar setup with a 55 in to watch the Laker game. Too bad they lost that night though. We were happily greeted by the friendly staff. Our server was very nice and helpful. She recommended the papaya salad which was off the hook! Not on the menu though. It was a special for the evening I guess. Followed up with chicken satay which was tender and juicy. But what really makes a good satay imo is the p’nut sauce which was bomb! The wifey & friends ordered the seafood combo, pad thai, yellow curry, and spicy green beans. Everything was soo good. Overall food was an a+. Service was also good. Just the the right amount. Wasn’t neglected or overkilled with attention. Will definitely return. Might just be my new spot for Laker games.

I have been eating at LannaThai for over 15 years and keep coming back again and again. Perhaps it’s because the food is consistently good. Perhaps it’s because there are always booths available. Probably it’s because there is a giant swimming pool in the middle of the restaurant with a stone deer and a floating hippo in it and tons of change at the bottom. Regardless, I love me some pork won ton soup, a lovely order of Pad Thai and perhaps a nice order of Garlic Chicken. Portions are good sized so it makes sense to eat ala Chinese family style. Prices are reasonable and they have a full bar plus foofy tropical drinks(their nod to Trader Vics) Yup, this is my hands down Thai of choice!!!

The food was not anything extra ordinary, the«really spicy» dishes tasted like they sprinkled some chili pepper on them…(aka not spicy). I was ordering with a big group of family(15 people) and when told on the phone that we could pick up the order in 30 min, we left after 20 minutes to drive over and pick up. Unfortunately, after getting to the restaurant 10 minutes later and waiting another 30 minutes for the food, my Dad and I were quite irritable with the waiting staff who kept assuring us «5 more minutes.» I think it may be a nicer experience for dine-in, but I have never experienced that so I can only speak for the horrible take out. We didn’t find any real issue with the food, plently of food, a bit pricey, but it is a higher end thai place, or so it looks. I would say choose another place, you can get cheaper thai food in the area of better quality and better service.

OK, so after coming here the first time and not being completely satisfied with the quality of their chicken, I had heard that they changed their ingredients and began using better quality ingredients. So I had to come in and try it for myself. I am pleased to say that their chicken is much much better. I also had their thai tea which was good. Definitely worth checking out if you like thai food.

Went here with a few friends last night; I wanted me some noodles and thai iced tea. I ordered the beef pad see you, which was the best I’ve had(for the price and in this type of Thai restaurant), and also tried a bit of the chicken satay which was also the best form of the dish that I’ve had in quite a while(it was well seasoned and grilled close to perfection). As for the service, everyone who helped us cared about doing their job well and were extremely pleasant. Everything about this meal was good(especially their delicious thai iced tea w/whipped cream), and I would definitely return when in the mood for cheapish(but not crappy) thai food.

I was craving some Tom Yum soup and no other Thia places seem to be open on Sunday so I stopped in here. The soup was just gross, it was basically water with some grease floating at the top no flavor at all. And to make it even worse I get the Tom Yum with coconut and it was a currdled mess I couldnt even eat it. Try Sabun Gna instead they are amazing, ordered there the very next day and it was like night and day!
