Specialties

We are a Portuguese Restaurant/Café specializing in traditional dishes and regional sweets from the motherland. The name of our Café is Natas Pastries, the name of our signature pastry, a crème brulée type filling in puff pastry. We’ve been open since 2005 now and we are known for our delicious homemade food, our delicious pastries and our friendly service.

We serve breakfast all day, try our selection of house baked Portuguese sweet bread French toasts drizzled with Maple Syrup or Egg dishes made with Chouriço served with oven baked Rosemary Potatoes.

Our lunch/dinner menu includes our popular Sopa de Pedra, a vegetarian thick soup, full of flavor and goodness, our famous Chicken Panini Sandwich with our Artisan House Bread or Delicias do Mar Salad, a Shrimp and Crab Salad topped with Egg and Avocado. or try our traditional dishes such as our Steak, «Bife a Casa», our popular Seafood dish «Caldeirada», Cod Dishes such as «Bacalhau com natas» or Feijoada, Espetada de Gambas, etc! Accompanied any dishes with our house made Sangria or our exclusive selection of Portuguese Wines for a truly escapade into the old world cuisine of Portugal.

History

Established in 2005.

The business started, June 10th 2005, by Fatima Marques, a Portuguese native and longtime Los Angeles resident. Natas Pastries, named for the confection, LA’s only Portuguese Bakery has created a following for their multilayered shell, egg-rich crème brûlée natas. The bakery’s location in a nondescript minimall across from a car wash belies the oldworld warmth of its interior. Dark woods and blue and white Portuguese tiles cover the walls. Natas Pastries grew in 2010 by adding a dinning area where you can enjoy the indoor as well as the outdoor experience of an European Café and the true tastes of Portugal found nowhere else in the city. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Now serving Beer and Wine !
