I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while but finally got around to it after finishing the last touch on our room remodel.
I found Oran Remodeling on Craigslist. I was weary but I contacted quite a few contractors to come give an estimate the week before Christmas. Some didn’t return my call and the ones who did ended up flaking… all except for Shay with Oran Remodeling.
Shay actually picked up the phone, said he would come out the following day for an estimate at 1pm. To my surprise, he actually showed up and on-​time. This was already a good sign.
We wanted to convert our bonus room to a 2nd master bedroom by adding a walk-​in closet and bathroom. (We built the room for the bathroom but are still saving money for the actual bathroom). We also had him install a ceiling AC/​Heater that works awesome! Shay quoted us 1 week and to be done before the new year and I think it ended up taking 8 days total. So pretty much on-​schedule.
His quote was very reasonable and they started working the very next day.
Every time I called him, he answered or would return my call within 24 hours.
Towards the end, his guys rushed a little but I had a list of everything I wanted touched up and they got 95% of it.
The workmanship is good. Not amazing, but good for what you pay for plus not having to deal with those flaky contractors out there.
Overall, we love our new master bedroom and will definitely be reaching out to him again when we are ready to finish the bathroom and remodel our kitchen.
