I’m in love with this place the food is so fresh and flavorful. The workers were very comforting and offered me samples for anything I was contemplating on getting so willingly. I hope they open one by Glendale/Burbank. Manager was very friendly and over all great experience!

I go to Salata at least 3 times a week and I never had any problems with food or any of their employees. it’s a pretty good size for the price. if you really like salads this is the best place to go. of course they do have their own portions but they never gave me a problem when I asked for a little bit more of each topping well any Way just eat healthy and Think healthy.

Recently I was advised by my doctor to eat more greens what better than a healthy fresh salad with Romain heart lettuce… With all the fast food chains that are serving unhealthy menus in the food court… The most healthy and the most wonderful restaurant in the food court… This restaurant is the best when it comes to fresh salads I would highly recommend the grilled chicken breast you can add it to any salad for phenomenal source of protein…

RUDESTOWNEROFANYBUSINESS I’VEEVERDEALTWITH!!! I’ve been to this business numerous times and have watched it slowly decline in freshness and customer service. I live only a few blocks away so I was putting up with the decay In quality just because it was so close and convenient. Now I’m sure to visit the MANY other salad places that are much fresher and dedicated to customer satisfaction. Originally the owner had hired a team to manage it but wasn’t making enough money so him and his wife started working there and penny pinching. I HATEPENNYPINCHERS!!! It’s a make your own salad place, some people use all the ingredients some people use fewer ingredients and ask for more of it. THEYREFUSETOGIVEYOUMORE. Basically I had a salad with almost nothing but lettuce in it… Ewwww When I made an insightful remark to the manager(owner) about how his employee(later found out it’s his wife) was so stingy with the few things I asked for in my salad, he got instantly furious. In front of other customers we went on a tangent about how the portions are there for a reason and started repeating«we don’t want people like you here» and«no one else has this problem, you don’t understand business». This is easily the most upset I’ve ever been while writing a Unilocal review. I feel like someone should take away this mans business license or salata should retake control of this franchise because this husband and wife have no business working in the customer service industry.

This place is basically build your own salad/wrap bar. It has many choices to choose from; greens, veggies, protein, etc. I’ve been here many times and I’m a sucker for their tomato basil soup with peta chips and the southwest chicken wrap. I just wish I can give this place a five star what’s stopping me is that they first off charge $ 3 extra for protein and they barely put anything down! I absolutely hate when restaurants or any place to eat serves something yet charges extra and doesn’t even give the customer a good amount to enjoy off of. Also, they can work to get their employees to be a bit friendlier. It’s just a. Bunch of teenagers not taking their job seriously and I’ve seen it happen at this specific location many times. Overall, they have fresh ingredients I will be returning but just like I do every other time I will ask for extra chicken and make my money’s worth!

This place was just ok for me… You build your own salad by telling them what you want and the ingredients are very fresh BUT the pricing is expensive for what you get AND the add-on proteins(Chicken, salmon, quinoa) are very cold and they refuse to heat it up for you! I do NOT like cold protein on my salads YUCK… I had a small salad with chicken pesto and added avocado for 10 bucks. Just meh.

Wanted to try this place out just because it looked healthy and fresh. Employees aren’t friendly. I asked if a table could be cleaned and the girl didn’t even bother going out of her way to clean it she just told me to ask someone else. Salad was good but very pricey. I don’t think I would eat here again because of the bad customer service.

I’m surprised at the number of good reviews for this place. My husband and I ate here because we wanted something light– especially if we decided to go out for dinner. The concept is great! But the ingredients are subpar– not very fresh. My romaine lettuce was brown at the edges– and every veggie tasted like it had been at the bottom of the crisper drawer for a week. Employees also seemed to be less than thrilled to be there.

Great idea-but they really need to do better training on their employees… who happen to mostly look miserable in ther jobs-all of them. I came here with my daughter on 12/24-probably one of the busiest days of the year at the mall-and they had ONE salad person behind the bar and ONE cashier working. There was a woman ahead of us getting two salads already half made-and the lone preparer helping her actually stopped preparing her salads and wanted to start on ours… it was awkward to say the least. At the end of the line-finally 2 more people showed up at the cash register… but apparently 3 people could not figure out how much a wrap and soup should be-and they tried to charge me $ 22. The product is good-just very poor service.

My favorite place. looking for a healthy, clean fresh meal? meet them in their different locations. Doesn’t matter which part of the city I am, turn the wheel to them .I SEEWHAT I WANTTOCHOOSE… VERYIMPORTANT to me. Good service, polite, smiley and helpful staff, and the most important: health trend.

This place can be hit or miss. Which sounds weird talking about a salad bar joint. It really depends who is working. I went in one time and it was a bunch of young guys, and they didn’t seem to care about what they were doing. The one guy took a minute to remember I added chicken…15 seconds ago, but that is likely due to the fact he hardly put any chicken in my salad… I feel like at times they skimp on the ingredients. I’m like… it’s a salad… load it UP!!! …especially when I pay $ 3 for chicken. I do EXPECT you to give me a decent amount. I am paying for it. Used to go out of my way to get a salad here. Probably won’t anymore. If I’m at the mall, I might give it another go though. Hopefully it will be the pleasant ladies I had the first few times!

Came here for lunch with a coworker. I was happy to see a place at the mall that was super healthy. They offer kale and baby mixed greens and spinach as salad options. The large salad is a good size. They build your salad as u go down the line like a salad bar but they r loading it. That is the one thing that is a little annoying. U ask for a topping and they just give u a pinch. Example I asked for tomatoes and it was just a pinch so I asked again for more. This seemed to annoy the lady. My coworker said she noticed the same thing when she asked for more cheese. . The salad is 3 dollars more if u want protein and u do. I had the pesto chicken I thought it was delicious. But my friend got the salmon. I thought her piece looked smallish. All in all its healthy and tasty. But u do wish u could load up your own plate and have them weigh it like in a traditional salad bar.

An unfortunate need to visit the Apple Store for a phone repair(especially while they have crowds buying the new 6S) led to a very reluctant side trip into the food court while I waited. And what a surprise. I hadn’t heard of Salata, although they seem to have multiple locations. But I’ll be sure to keep them in mind in future. This is basically a design-your-own salad bar with lots and lots of options to choose from. But what’s impressive, and different from most places(I’m looking at you, Souplantation!) is the focus on vegan items. Five out of the nine salad dressing choices were vegan and there were three choices for vegan protein. And all that in addition to the chickpeas, peas and beans you can include in your unlimited toppings. The pricing is good too — I got a huge helping of tofu for a tiny additional price. I washed it all down with one of their delicious ice teas — unsweetened, which is perfect for me. What a pleasant way to kill some time. And thankfully I had enough to eat, because I’m probably going to be wandering around for a while remembering where I parked.

Super quick and super healthy for a mall fast food! There was three sections of toppings to pick from and I got a lot of food! There toppings ranged from beans, sprouts, cheeses, nuts, red onions and even beets! I will be back

Staff was nice and the line was quick, prob. cause no one was in line. My first visit to Salata was the one in Northridge and it was amazing, the line was long and it took a while but the salad was well worth it. I ordered my version of a Cobb salad the first time I was in and I was craving another ever since. I live close to the one in the Riverside mall so I thought I would give that a shot, I work late on Friday’s so I normally get lunch prior to starting for later in the day(its the one lunch a week I look forward to). I let the woman helping me know this so she recommended I get the dressing on the side, I was on the same page as her(didn’t want my salad to become soggy). I ordered a half my first time and decided to do a regular for my 2nd visit, as she started I could already tell that the scoops of everything in my salad were so much smaller then my first visit(strange considering I ordered the bigger salad). I’m a small girl but I loved that in my first visit I was able to taste all the ingredients in one bite. The woman continued with the same portions through out the entire salad, she provided one dressing and thank god I asked for a second one cause it would of been one dry salad. I just finished my salad and had so much LETTUCE left over, I was literally digging for more ingredients other then the lettuce! I barley tasted the bacon, egg, beets and garbanzo beans, happy I didn’t pay extra for the avocado. I feel a little ripped off for a $ 12 salad but lesson learned, don’t visit the Riverside location(no wonder it was empty). I don’t know if the Northridge store just HOOKSITUP with the ingredients, but Riverside does not. I gave it 2 stars cause the lady helping me was nice, but 1 star for the salad.

Well, it’s a better than nothing location. Very tiny inside, very little seating. You are forced to take your salad in a to-go container if the few seats they have are all taken up. Then go out and try to find seating in the over crowded food court. I like Northridge Fashion center’s set up and seating better. The salad itself was just OK, very skimpy on the portions here and I think the owner or manager is the lady who put mine together. I think she may have smiled once and utterd or mumbled some words I couldn’t understand. Very Lack luster here.

An interesting new addition to the food court dining scene at the Westfield Fashion Square Mall. Healthier options if I may say are being added in lieu of your standard fried and died cuisine at the mall. What Salata offers is a made to order salad for anyone and everyone. As a vegan, they offer specific options, but you’ll need to identify yourself before starting your order so they don’t wind up putting bacon or animal based products in your salad. Most of the dressings are vegan, but again ask and they’ll be more than happy to help you out. For non vegans, there’s quite the variation of choices of protein that you can ask and portions are actually quite substantial. I would say, if you’re not that hungry get the smaller salad. They do offer a selection of teas as beverage options aside from the standard fare. Overall, it’s a step in the right direction because while Panda is Panda… not everyone wants Panda all day every day.
