My favorite store in LA better deals than any movie place or music. I collect Blu Rays and they always have the best deals, way better than even Amoeba, although Amoeba has a bigger selection. second spin is really fair prices. I shop here almost every week, customer service is the best to, all the workers there are great and help you find everything! I always tell everyone to shop here, let’s hope this place stays open, and everyone stops going to redbox and netflix lol.

Than 10 minutes inside. I had my list in hand but abandoned it faster than it came out cause the prices were ridiculous. It’s 95% used stuff and they were asking new CD prices. Even their cheap stuff was insulting. Common titles for $ 12? Really! What a joke and waste of a trip.

New and Used DVDs, CDs and Vinyl Albums… some cool novelty items as well as posters, toys, nicknacks, electronics… etc… really easy to go for broke on all the deals they have. Starting to build up my TV DVD collection now thanks to these guys… it’s like amazon.com’s cousin I never knew about. Highly recommend checking it out and cashing out on their used deals.

I normally don’t write bad reviews unless I’ve been done wrong multiple times and this place done did it! The staff here are so unfriendly. They look like they hate their job. Big turn off!

Take down your «we buy used CDs and DVDs» sign! Without fail, every time I have come in the guy at the front has rudely stated, «we just can’t buy! Come back in a couple days.»
False advertising!

I went in here to buy some dvds that you can’t find online. I signed up for their email list and then they didn’t take me off. I receive spam messages and email blasts promos all the time. I have tried and emailed multiple times to get them to stop but they can’t figure out how to take me off the email list. The store is fine, but don’t sign up for their email list because they won’t take you off if you want. I actually had to sign up for an account just to unsubscribe.
UPDATE: 11÷22÷15 — Today I got another email from them. This never stops. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE EMAIL LIST. You will never be able to get off. I was added to multiple lists and it took 3 customer service people to figure out how to take an email off the list. Never shopping here again.

I didn’t even know this place existed! The tree at front covers the sign, I only saw them one time going to urban outfitters I was like «hey there’s a music store» so I walked in and it was like a mini Amoeba, everything was arranged neatly and the employees were very nice and welcoming, I love looking at the vinyls I was just bummed there wasn’t a lot to look at. The prices are great as well. Other than the parking which sucks, this place is great.

This place is amazing, besides the great prices and the great customer service, you can find just about any movie, documentary or CD that you are looking for and also some vinyl! I always tell my friends and family to come here when in search for music for movies and they are always pleasantly surprised when they visit for themselves!

Once good for a variety of multimedia, this place has now jumped the shark sadly. Downsized oldie music selection has given way to way too many modern movies that suck. And the constant loud heavy metal intercom music isn’t conducive to sound civilized media shopping experience.

This place is cool beans. Old school movies, games and music. Think of it as Amoeba’s very little sister. They have a small selection of vinyl (hey, be happy it’s there at all!) Cd’s (think TLC Crazy, Sexy, Cool) and a nice selection of movies on DVD and Blue Ray. I didn’t see any (I wasn’t looking) but I think they have some things on VHS. Over all, cool store and at a convenient location in the valley. For the really obscure stuff, I’d still stick to Amoeba, but you’ve got a nice little gem in this store.

This place is just terrible, absolutely terrible. The staff are snooty and arrogant slacker/​hipster types who seem to scoff at anything you ask them. Excuse me if you have to take 10 seconds from putting bright orange «used» stickers on old dvd’s to answer my question, but this is still a retail establishment. At least they’re friendlier and more receptive at Amoeba records in Hollywood.
Not to mention their used DVDs are extremely overpriced. You know something is up when a used copy of «Reindeer Games» is $ 17.99. WTF? Really? Who prices these movies? I can go to Best Buy and get brand new DVDs on blu-​ray for 50 percent less than they charge for a used DVD.

They close at 9:00. Tonight I walked in at 8:50. I had three DVDs I wanted to trade, and a newly released BluRay I wanted to buy. I wasn’t expecting much for the DVDs, maybe $ 5 store credit. I just wanted rid of them.
I realize it’s unfair to expect much when you walk into a store 10 minutes before close, but there wasn’t a single other customer in the entire store. I was trying to get there by 8:30, but parking in this area is notoriously bad, and it was raining, so even worse. I only had three DVDs, not a major collection. If there were other customers inside, I would have forgotten about selling the used stock and just bought what I wanted.
I saw the BluRay I wanted on the shelf, but the sole employee wouldn’t even entertain me. I walked in, he emphatically declared «We’re closing!» and forced me out.
I’m sorry, but if your doors are unlocked, you’re open. You can politely tell me you’re closing soon and I need to browse quickly, or quickly explain that — for whatever reason — calculating the value of three DVDs will take you well beyond your 9:00 close, but you don’t just force a potential customer out.
It’s ok though. I bought what I needed from Target, and for $ 5 less. Now I can donate those DVDs.
If I come back, it will be during their inevitable going-​out-​of-​business sale. Maybe then they’ll have some competitive prices.

If I’m ever lost, check this place often I’m probably here. I love going through their stock, they have a great variety of hard to find movies as well as new and used movies for some great prices. You could come here every other day and the stores inventory would be different every time. There is a knowledgeable staff and everything is pretty well organized by category and then in alphabetical order. I really like the deals they have like buy 1 TV series get 1 for a dollar. The deals are always different so its good to check back often. I don’t recommend ordering online, they overcharge the shipping and it takes forever to receive, but actually going in person is pretty great.

This place is pretty cool. There is some variety but there are other things you just can’t find. The best thing about this store is the $ 5 CD section. I found some pretty cool things there. I wouldn’t suggest buying vinyls here because they are super pricey.

The inventory they have here is absolutely insane. I went in the first time looking for records and found many that I liked. Their prices are a little all over the place though, their records that were new and still sealed were WAY over priced, a lot of them I knew I could get online for half as much. But their used records are a very fair price.
I went with my boyfriend who is HUGE on movies, so he had a blast looking those shelves and shelves of movies.
I found the staff a little rude and intimidating. We were getting ready to leave around closing, and five minutes before they were actually closed one of the women behind the counter yelled into the store «Alright folks you’re done, bring up your purchases and head out!». I can understand them not waiting stragglers hanging around while their trying to close, but there was definitely a better, friendlier way they could have gone about that.

Got here at 8pm to trade some DVDs in. The place was empty. The guy behind the counter is on the computer, no customers around. I walk up and ask about trading my movies in and if he has a certain movie in stock. He literally holds a finger up at me while keeping his gaze upon the computer screen. He couldn’t be bothered to even look over and politely tell me he’ll help me in a moment. Total dick. So I approach the other employee and she tells me they stop taking dvds at 8 (They close at 9pm)
For a place that deals in an almost dead medium you would think they would jump to do business whenever they can. I really hope the owner reads this and has a serious talk with these two jokers. And if either of them IS the owner… Snap out of it. Get your shit together.

Love to hang out and explore here, so much cool stuff and such a great variety, good atmosphere and vibe coming from all over here. Very hospitable and helpful staff.
