Sherman Oaks School of Dance and Music offers dance and music lessons to students 18 months and up! We offer Mommy & Me classes, Preschool Dance, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Piano, Voice, and Guitar. We are a curriculum based school, yet incorporate plenty of fun. With a professional floating marley dance floor and university graduate instructors we ensure that your student will receive the best instruction in the San Fernando Valley.

Hello! My name is Gabriella and I recently opened Sherman Oaks School of Dance and Music. I am excited to use my degree in Elementary Education and extensive dance background in order to provide the San Fernando Valley with fun, yet educational classes for children 18 months and up!

As I sit here watching my two year old take class with teacher Gabby I can’t help but smile ear to ear. After only two months he has blossomed in class. He started off not wanting to do much, now he’ll start setting up dance class at home and have my husband I be the students.

My two year old loves the Mommy and Me class (and so do I!)… Ms Gabby is so patient and has a wonderful teaching style. She connects with their age group with imagination and excitement. It is a low pressure environment where the kids learn and really love what is being taught. So happy with everything about this school!

What an amazing dance studio. I came across this dance studio when I was looking for summer camps and dance classes for my two daughters. We live in the Studio City area, but decided to give Sherman Oaks School of Dance and Music a try. Both of my kids took their «risk-​free» trial class, one in hip hop and the other in ballet, and absolutely loved it! The dance lessons are well-​structured, the kids seem to be learning quite a bit, and most importantly they’re having a blast! Very pleased and excited we found this dance studio!

I just saw the first recital since my daughter began taking lessons, and I still can’t stop smiling. My daughter’s teacher, Gabby, is very passionate and seems to tailor her instruction based on the child’s strengths.
My daughter is taking private lessons, so maybe it’s not like that in groups, but she seems to be teaching my girl very ambitious and energetic routines right out of the gate, as opposed to my daughter’s last teacher who seemed to spend two years on fundamentals and never taught her an actual routine that puts the moves together. This is the thing that finally got my daughter to appreciate all those earlier years.
I highly recommend this teacher and studio to anyone with a little one who loves to dance.

What a wonderful experience. Brand new studio. From the first lesson my 4 year old daughter is the happiest little dancer. This is her second year «dancing «. She learned more in 1 lesson than the previous year at another studio. On top of that she enjoyed it twice as much also. The classes aren’t just playtime, there is a proven method to engage and keep very young children involved without making it seem like «school «.

Sherman Oaks is so lucky to have this dance studio! The owner/​teacher (Gabby) is so passionate about dance, and an incredibly enthusiastic teacher. She has a wonderful way of talking and listening to her students, and observing their strengths and abilities to push them to learn new steps. It’s a pleasure and a joy to watch my daughter thrive and learn new moves in a very beautiful atmosphere!

Great studio! The mommy and me class is by far my daughter’s favorite of her activities. The class is very engaging with a lot of imaginative play! Not just play for the sake of play but it truly does help the little ones learn their dance moves. It’s also incredibly adorable to watch (as a parent)!

Was super excited to stumble upon this studio a couple weeks back. My daughter has only been dancing for about a year, and we hadn’t loved our previous studio. I spoke with Gaby about signing up for a ballet class, and she was SO helpful. After Olivia’s first class, she was ECSTATIC! I had never seen her have this much excitement about dance. Gaby is extremely attentive, and truly has fun with the kids. Definitely recommend this studio for any dancers/​parents looking to invest in their daughter/son’s dance training.

It is in such a great location, and with convenient parking, which is always a plus. The instructor and owner, Gabriella, is fantastic, warm, and knowledgable.
