SnowPiffs Boba Tea Cafe

WHAT?! I wanted to come back! I can’t believe they closed down):
I came here on a whim, craving boba & it was late. This was the «closest» to my hometown!

This place was legit! Sad they closed, the custom service was incredible and the SnowPiffs were unforgettably delicious. Hope you guys pop up somewhere some time in the future.

This place is nothing short of amazing and delicious! It’s a bit hidden cause it’s south of the Blvd on Van Nuys. I was trying to try this place several times but because of the parking situation I couldn’t get here sooner. So I had never had this type of shaved ice before and I don’t think I wanna go anywhere else to get some. I got the strawberry with coconuts and wow was it good. You could actually taste the bits of strawberries. They drizzle condensed milk on top if you’d like but I didn’t like it much cause it made it too sweet for me. They have little mini cupcakes too which we got a free one to test with the Unilocal check in. The owner was way cool and very helpful.

Stay a little while. Let’s play some board games. There are so many!
I’m pretty simple when it comes to any desert. Strawberry on Strawberry. Anyone else like that?
Boba is ok. I did not like it. I do not recommend the boba here.
Although the cupcakes & other deserts are another story!

The cupcakes… Omg the cupcakes! They are sooooooo moist they melt in your mouth.
I got one of each and they were all delicious.
As far as the mango green tea, it didn’t taste right. It was lacking sweetness and tasted a little watered down.
Customer service is TOP NOTCH! She remade my drink 3 times!!! That’s going above and beyond what is expected from a server. Thousands of stars for that! Will be coming back for sure!

Snowpiffs is a great place. I love their boba options. Parking kind of sucks so that’s minus one start for me. Sucks is kind of an understatement.
Check in for a free cupcake with your purchase. I bought the green tea milk honey boba and my boyfriend bought the lychee honey boba.
The red velvet cupcake was very delicious and moist. Totally worth it.

Snowpiffs is a quaint little shaved snow place within the heart of Ventura Blvd.
The staff within Snowpiffs is very friendly and they welcome you whenever you come in. They are very helpful and will answer all questions about their products. They seem to be very genuine and sweet. In Snowpiffs they also offer games to play while you enjoy the desserts. Which is a plus, making it a fun place to bring friends along.
Snowpiffs offers a variety of selections of shaved snow, cupcakes, coffee, tea, slushes, and other assorted desserts. Which is incredible considering the menu presented is only about ¹⁄₃ of the menu.
For $ 5 you can get shaved snow and unlimited toppings. I usually go with my boyfriend and we opt for kids sized (it’s usually all we can finish.) Regular size is so much more for just a dollar more. We’ve tried all tropical/​fruit flavors and all that we’ve tried are packed with flavor, and very refreshing especially in SoCal Summer weather. The toppings offered really do add to the taste and make it 20x more enjoyable.
For $ 4 you can also get a regular sized boba which is usually bigger than normal boba cup portions. They offer over ice and iced flavors. Again with the flavors we usually only order fruity flavors. So I haven’t tried Thai tea just yet, or their coffee. Though I have bought coffee boba for my parents and they say it’s one of their favorites (they like lightly sweetened coffee.) So I can’t really speak from personal preference.
For $ 3.50 you can get two cupcakes which are absolutely amazing. Bittersweet chocolate is one of my favorites. Along with Carrot cake, unfortunately carrot cake is only offered some days. I also really enjoy their red velvet. Though I never really liked red velvet in general because the icing is too sweet. But theirs was perfect.
Along with those they have cake pops, parfaits, cake slices, and macaroons. But only on certain days.
In short, Snowpiffs is a great place for very affordable shaved snow, and a friendly environment.

Pretty good shaved snow with awesome customized options for the price. I love the generosity of the free cupcake when checking in.

If only there was a location in NorCal!
Oakley hooked it up with a mango madness (extra fruity pebbles) and thai tea. The mango madness was the cure for the 90+ degree weather. The thai tea comes in a cup that’s bigger than your normal boba cups — worth it!
The shop is clean, and there’s some space for sitting. Would have hung out longer, but had to make my way through more LA traffic.

A big fan of true shaved ice (shaved ice cream?), and this place does it right. No sno-​cone type stuff; instead, the real melt-​in-​your mouth feathery shaved ice cream. Lots of traditional and unique selections for flavors and toppings, and unlimited toppings on the large size. We got the birthday cake combination, and the girl serving us allowed us to make some customizations on our mix as well. Quick service, friendly staff. I think the price is a little much for something that is mostly milk and water, but I’ll still definitely be going back for more SnowPiff adventures.
Parking is bad; plan to walk a bit.

Oakley you rock! All 7 of the boba teas I ordered were amazing and everyone was raving about where I went. The girls loved the cupcakes and I really enjoyed the strawberry shortcake cup :)
The store is super clean and inviting and service was A+
We will be ordering again, yummy.

Features:
–I Unilocaled this place as it was close to where I was at. I was very attracted to the cute name so we decided to come here. We came here and definitely liked this Dessert place.
–I had the Passion Fruit Tea and it was perfection with the boba pearls. Every time I order a fruit tea, they always add so much sugar and it ends up tasting too sweet. However, the passion fruit tea was not too sweet and it was really up to par.
–I ordered the red velvet cupcake and it was very delicious. The cake itself was soft and tasted like it was freshly baked. The cream on top was adequate and not super sweet, just the way I like it.
Improvement:
–The server was a little slow because there was only one person working. He had asked us to wait because he had to change out something and in the short time we waited, there were a few more customers that came in. Overall, it was not a bad experience since we did not wait long. Plus, the server was nice.
Tip:
–Although I didn’t taste the other teas, my experience with what I had was 4 stars. Hope yours will be too!

A little hidden gem in the heart of Sherman Oaks. Located on Van Nuys Blvd just one block south of Ventura Blvd. Who does not love deserts. The best mini cupcakes around and mini cakes. If you are a person does not want to over eat on your deserts. Then you just found the place.
You got everything from shaved ice cream to Boba too. I highly recommend the vanilla bean or the red velvet cupcakes. For all the Boba lovers you must try the blueberry green tea and the mango green tee. If you are coming here friends or love ones you will enjoy it.
Great customer service with a smile. One of the nicest staff you will ever meet. My new Boba place in Sherman Oaks.

This place is located one block south of Ventura Boulevard on Van Nuys. This is my first time coming to this cute little dessert café.
There were so different options to choose from, they had blended drinks that were like a slushy, their cake pops, many parfait desserts, shaved ices and mini cupcakes. If you are into mini foods this place is the bomb. I was with a group of friends and it was really fun to try a bunch of different things. Everyone picked out a few different options and we all shared so we got an opportunity to taste lots of different things.
The first thing I tried where the shaved ices. And it’s a little different because it’s not plain ice and then they put syrup on top of the ice. This actually has the flavor in it we tried three options piña colada, birthday cake and some kind of chocolate nutty ice. The piña colada was definitely my favorite. It was frozen pineapple that’s shaved and then topped with coconut and condensed milk. The texture of the shaved ice is really interesting, when you first put it in your mouth you really notice the texture then it melts and you taste the flavors.
The next one I tried was the chocolate which was more of a lightly sweetened bittersweet chocolate and it had some chocolate sauce and nuts on top which was really delicious.
The last one that we tried was some kind of cake batter or birthday cake it was very weird I did not enjoy that.
Next we tried some of the little mini parfaits they’re so cute they’re slightly bigger than a shot glass. We tried banana cream pie, chocolate mud pie and one other that I can’t remember. They were all delicious and came a little tiny spoons that I thought was really fun. We also tried the cake pops, i’m not a big fan of those.
It was really a fun time I enjoyed myself very much… great company… great desserts! I will definitely be back for some more fruity ices.

SnowPiffs, will you be my summer crush? Yes, we’ve just met, and yes it’s kinda fast, but you have swept me off my feet with your sweet talk. You sure know what to say to a lady… you had me at Cookies and Cream. I know it’s not officially summer yet but let’s have our own endless summer, shall we? ‘Cause I know I won’t be able to get you out of my mind.
Powdery-​soft, delectably flavored, this is NOT your street fair shaved ice. It’s like the first time you understand what sex is *really* all about… that little aha light bulb won’t stop flashing in your brain saying «NOW I get it…». Yep. Like that.
Just talk piffy to me, baby, and we’ll be fine.
Street parking, metered right in front, and free up the street.
If you have what I’m having, you’ll be satisfied. Trust me.

SnowPiffs is a one stop shop for all your sweet tooth needs and a refreshing shelter for the hot summer days!
I was in the Valley during a hot afternoon. A quick Unilocal search landed me at SnowPiffs. The ambience is very nice; the place is very clean filled with elegant decors. A perfect hideout from the sun and a wonderful hangout spot with friends.
SnowPiffs has everything from cake pops, macaroons, shaved ice, and boba to cupcakes. Note the cupcakes are made fresh daily (check the menu to see which cupcakes are available on which days of the week).
I had the mango shaved ice with mochi topping. The flavored ice was very refreshing and I find the small cup to be enough for 2 people.
Like others have mentioned, this is no different than Blockhead on the west side or Fluff ice/​Salju in the east. (Don’t bother driving all the way here if you live closer to those other shaved ice places. However, it is one of its kind on this side of LA.
By the way, they’re related to Cakes by Rumy’s pastries next door! We saw a bunch of people come in over the weekend to pick up cake from Cakes by Rumy’s through SnowPiffs.

This shop has a very clean and fresh ambience and sweet décor. The shaved snow comes with unlimited toppings and condensed milk so you can pick as many as get as much of the toppings as you want! It’s a good deal for the price!
They also have macarons, cupcakes, tarts, cake pops, and boba drinks so you can get a fix for any craving.
The guy who helped us was super friendly and generous with the toppings!

If you’re looking to get your shaved snow fix, this is the ONLY place to get it in the valley! Usually, there are plenty of places to get your shaved snow or boba fix in Rowland Heights, or anywhere in the 626 area for that matter, but if you’re new to the valley this will taste just like home!
Cute décor inside with bright pastel walls and cute bears and penguin decorations~! They have different flavor shaved snow with UNLIMITED TOPPINGS!!! (something they DON’T offer in the 626!) TASTES JUST LIKE WHAT I GET IN ROWLAND! They also offer different types of desserts such as brownies, cupcakes, macarons, and cake pops all so pretty and I tried the brownies! So yummyyyyy!
I got a little inside scoop that they will be offering boba in February and I was able to get a taste of what’s to come, and you will not be disappointed. They needed a store like this here! There’s truly nothing like it around. Desserts galore and they also make beautiful cakes~~ (made by a winner from food network show)
Service was the BEST. Super friendly and patient with us and had a nice long conversation.

This stuff was really good! After dinner in Sherman Oaks, I was looking for a little something sweet and I saw this place on Unilocal.When I stopped in, there were only a couple of people there on a Friday night, which was good because there was only one woman working and as we know, shaving the blocks of ice and making these great concoctions takes some time.
The flavors were different than what I was expecting. I was looking for good old chocolate and coconut but I saw strawberry banana, pineapple, cake batter, original, mango, and cantaloupe. Most of the flavors were very fruity and that was right up my alley. I got a sample of the strawberry banana and it was absolutely delicious. It tasted almost like a smoothie in ice form. I got a regular size ($ 4.99) with half strawberry banana and half pineapple. I love that they actually used a divider to separate the two flavors. And then, I enjoyed the option of unlimited toppings. They have a variety of toppings including fresh fruit, candy, nuts, and cereals. The churro bites were a nice surprise.
The shaved snow was probably the best that I’ve tried in LA. It had the right amount of sweetness and a great flavor that actually really reminded me of pineapple, strawberries, and bananas. There was certainly no artificial flavoring. The portion was generous and it was nice that she asked me before she shaved the blocks whether I wanted her to leave room for toppings.
I’m glad that I found this place. The shaved snow is really good and it didn’t seem to melt down as quickly as most of the other shaved snow that I’ve had. Plus, they have cupcakes, parfaits, macarons, cake pops, cupcakes in a jar, and other delicious looking desserts. How can you go wrong here?

Snowpiffs… you scream I scream we all scream for… frozen yogurt, ice cream, snow cone… what is it you might ask. Weirdly enough it’s a mixture of a snow cone and frozen yogurt. I’m not a big fan of shaved ice but I gave the cake batter a try anyways.
It tasted oddly weird but good. I liked it but I didn’t love looooove it. In all fairness my favorite foods aren’t snow cones, shaved ice, or even ice cream. I like frozen yogurt and that’s the part about it I think I did like. They usually don’t give samples but she make an exception for me.
The things I liked about this place was that they had excellent customer service. The lady that helped me was so nice. Also FREE toppings! I love Free! You can have as many toppings that fit in your cup. I got marshmallows, nuts, and a chocolate drizzle.
They also carry cake pops and cookies which were both delicious, I tried both.
The only thing about this place is parking can be hard since its on my the street, and if you blink you might pass it.
